Hi guys! I am back with one more thread to continue the fun with you guys, and this time I have partnered with my buddy Hetunandu to test this great ROM!
Frankly I didn't thought that Doixanh would still continue developing after the huge successes of FroyoBread & GingerDX. But on May 25, 2012, he, along with recognized Team Fun, made IScreamDX and surprised us all!
FYI, this thread is showing the bugs that appeared in IScreamDX v004. So don't go off topic!
I really want to say thank you to all the Team Fun members & Doixanh for supporting us and developing this superb ROM!

:: v004 Bugs ::
- There is some known bugs as listed by Doixanh: FM Radio. (X)
Solution: Wait for coming versions.
- Video Decoder is partially fixed because of the OpenMax Video Codecs, so videos can only be played perfectly on low quality. (X)
Solution: It can be fixed by installing any video player with its own video decoder, such as Mobo or MX Video Player. It's still a bit laggy and low quality, and for Youtube videos, there's no solution though.
- Speakers start to crackle when you set the volume near to the maximum volume. (X)
Solution: Don't set it too high, and reconfigure your settings in Equalizer to almost flat bass and treble.
OR
Use this SRS Fix by Rohin Zaraki.
- The stock browser is laggy. (X)
Solution: If you can't stand it, simply download it from Play Store. And, if you don't want to see the app also, delete from system/app.
- Low ram available makes it easy to miss calls and stuffs. (X)
Solution: Try using RAM Manager (if you dont mind a little little more battery drain)(and do not use SUPERCHARGER) and use Swapper.
- When the screen is off, you want to get to the homescreen button using the hardware buttons, you can feel the vibration of the phone when you press the screen but there is no display. (X)
Solution: Keep pressing the home and lock hard buttons until the display shows up.
-Applications force closes without any dialogue box. (X)
Solution: ?
- Back button does not end apps all the time. (?)
Solution: ?
- Problem in Google Play Store downloading. (X)
Solution: After that error, redownload the same app again. And when it is in processing, leave Play Store (Don't kill the app.). This will free some ram and thus download may start in some time.
- The notification window is empty sometimes after dragging down. (X)
Solution: Try exiting some apps running in background. It is caused by low RAM.

Thanks for including my Audio Fix . For the low RAM, I'd recommend using Ram Manager instead of Supercharger stability and battery reasons, y'know ? Anyways, good luck with this thread and may it have as much success as your GDX thread

Also please enlist one more bug(or check first , if it is only with me or with the rom),
Wifi tethering isn't working for me.
So i tested and the result is we can use that but a small change is required.
Because we are taking it form a qvga phone the status bar is is not working as if we change our phones lcd density to a lower ones then also status bar FC.
And i checked that we are getting 20 MB more free ram and some new options.

nice thread but i want to report one bug - sim card isn't working with some operators (it doesn't work for me, i have O2), that's the reason why i'm back to minicm9

About the CM9 mod, we also have it in Themes&Apps.
And about the wifi tethering, you are saying setting to lower screen density, it can work?? Or is it separated bug?

As far as I remember, this was fixed by CM already? I don't have a v003 build anymore (only my internal newer builds) so I cannot test.

Possible fix for unresponsive screen when locked
Close all apps before locking your phone. I.e. by long press home button and then fling to close each app.. this will help.. mayb.. please confirm

[Q] Which thread best for audio Volume issue on 4.2.1?

guys I've spent a lot of time chasing various threads on xda and elsewhere, re: the very low pitiful audio volume levels for movie replay on nexus 7 with 4.2.1 .... to no avail. volume+ from the apps store comes up as "compatible with all devices" for me but it ain't. doesn't work yet on JB.
I've read, re-read, and re-re-read the thread over in Android devel of a custom patch for DSP supposedly to give 'beats' like audio, improvements, etc requires custom kernel at least if not rom - but no straight answers on what mix it takes to make it work nexus 7 on 4.2.1 so I assume it no worky either.
SOOOOO.... is there ONE thread somewhere that can serve as the checkpoint for all of us suffering through this issue? its been reported to Google ad infinitum and I'm sure sooner or later will get a remedy if such is possible with this hardware, but it will happen more quickly the custom route I suspect.
any clues??
I note [for those that don't know] that Youtube sounds great, and what little I've tried Netflix, its passable, but playback of 720p movie files using MX Player or others [some are not yet compatible with 4.2.1] its unbearable. another win for the tablet that must not be mentioned around here.....

I will if you can give me an answer I need: I read on one of those threads [he/they post in several forums so I not sure which I saw this] that one needs to install a Custom Kernel [Trinity was one I jotted down], possibly a custom ROM [i.e. not the google OTA JOP40D], and in another post, that one might need to Uninstall the stock DSP Manager [and replace with ?????]
assuming you're working OK [ie MX Player playing a good MP4 file, great volume??] on 4.2.1, what was your recipe?

This post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31619899&postcount=2, post #2 contains the mod for Android 4.2...you just need to be rooted and have custom recovery... supports AOSP/stock ROM it says... just try it.. make a nandroid first of course... oh and you can also ask in that thread, misledz is the expert.. I think the mod is system wide.
Although you can't access equalizer settings within mxplayer... I know mxplayer has a volumeboost option... >200% volume boost not enough?

yes even with the 200% boost the 720p rips I am trialing [in this case its LOTR TT platinum edition title 1] is too light. in fact through what google excuses as a speaker [guffaw....] its useless. headphones with vol at 100% is just barely useful.
BUT - the good news is that instead of fooling with the whole JB Beats custom stuff, I just went to the store and installed noozxoid and WOW! :good: that is one serious application. HUGE difference not just in volume which really is not the point of it, but in quality, customizations, adjustments, .... I have not tried netflix since installing it so I will and will put some remarks here. around the web I see a lot of complaining about volume of streamed content on netflix

ps if you try out noozxoide note that you must set it up - go through all the settings and pick your stuff. it does not assume/default anything.

Clearbass.irs with Field Sorround enabled in FX is just fantastic!

★ Introducing Cure Tech.★
With normal audio system, listening for more than three hours will feel fatigue, dizzy, tinnitus, irritated and other symptoms. This is a normal reaction, heavy bass and high volume could cause permanent damage to the human auditory system, but other phenomena can restore through resting.
Viper as a listening experience professional will not ignore this problem. Therefore put a lot of effort to study how to make a "Healing" sound technology, just a small success. But thinking on how to let users experience it.
Currently, there are two considerations:
1. Launch a ViPER4Android Cure individual version (Only weak effect processing, maybe only one toggle, mainly process auditory system healing stuffs, prevent harm when long time listening). This special edition is the same as FX and XHIFI, can work with other sound effects.
2. Integrate Cure Technology into FX and XHIFI version.
Above considerations have pros and cons.
1. Advantage: Easy to operate, turn on Cure will heal auditory system, original sound sensation very strong, no artificial effects. Users who doesn't like effect can install only Cure version.
Disadvantage: Have to open V4A Cure to toggle settings, there would be 3 notifications (FX, XHIFI, Cure)
2. Advantage: Remain only 2 apks. No extra apk.
Disadvantage: If Cure and other effects are turned on at the same time, its very difficult to adjust desired settings. Is is harder than adjusting coexist FX and XHIFI, even ViPER520 himself cannot adjust properly.
BTW, Healing function will be temporarily placed in a new version of FX, for temporary trial.​

No one says you can't.

This irs is the best in terms of sound quality. The balance between low, mid, ang highs are just appropriate for.every music type. Using this with the latest fx version and I really am satisfied with the quality of this one

I second the motion.
I use LG Optimus L3 (single core) and whole mod works like a dream! Just gonna turn-off the Screen Off settings on your CPU Adjuster to avoid spoils and stuff... ;D

Loved this update. Audio seems to be more clearer now as it eliminated some echo due to it being normalized. It definitely is an improvement over the previous one. :good:

Heres another audio mod for the nexus 5. tested on c-rom 7.1, seems to be a bit louder and bassier but would like feedback from others willing to try it, preferably on roms without other sound mods. I found it works well with viper
ps im using some cheap Philips earphones & noticed a small improvement but it could be a placebo effect

i will try it out but the problem with any audio mod is that there is not a 'on' and 'off' option so some people can't hear diference. but thanks

oops sorry, no restore function at the moment
a nandroid or backup is recommended. alternatively if u have rootexplorer or the like, backup or rename the system/libs/soundfx folder and system/etc/audio_effects.conf prior to install

A few things to consider. I am always looking for good sound filters. I currently rate viperaudio fx newest with altering the audio.XML file in etc folder the best. (Volumeboost.zip in screenshot is by Audigod of SOKP Rom), Followed by Noozy player with Dolby Mobile and Noozoxide Pro and Beats Audio mod.
The filters are a mod and boosting sound volume values inside system seem to be the best way to go.
What does this mod of yours consist of?
Just filters or a updater script also to actually boost audio? Thanks!

its more of a filter with a slight boost. works best with faux sound mod in kernel and viperfx. unless my hearing is off, did notice a small boost with deeper bass

I flashed it on pixel rom with experimental kernel(faux sound), viper.
i noticed a little deeper base, i use sony mdrxb-30.

added v3 with a small tweak to mixerpaths.xml. recommended with viperfx rock eq setting
