i just ported a rom and want to post it ,, it is a port from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=656690 ,, ive tried almost everthing and it works ,including wi-fi
this is my first try so dont be to hard on me lol, and there is a patch on the original post with live wallpaper patch , but havent tried but i will , hope this works ,, oh and u need to do apn backup and restore ,,
maps and navs work also ,, im just rechecking everything to be sure , so ill try and upload in a few hours, if someone else is doing this rom i dont wana copy so if someone could let me know

to be honest ,i checked it out and it just says no updates ,, i just make the rom work im not dev or anything so i didnt really remove anything cept sprint tv,nfl,nascar cuz we cant usew them , i dont wana mess it up by removing something im not suppose to ,, im just now rechecking making sure it is ok to post ,

ok the power down lag just hit ,, it didnt do it b4 but now it is ,, im checking around and if i cant fix it , ill just put it up and maybe someone else maybe can

i dont get it ,, i just looked and it says pu blic ,, i wonder what i did wrong

its going to myfiles.php click on the rom and then u should see Share or something u need that link

Get rid of DC Updater. It will download the latest Damage Control from the author of the Sprint Hero one.
We clearly don't want a Sprint Hero ROM on our Eris's. There's 3 files to get rid of, I think.
I'd remove them from the ROM. I put DC on my buddy's Hero. Very clean. He loves it.
Neither here nor there, nice job on this!

i wouldnt think so, cuz there are some files that are there that you need, that starts with DC, im pretty sure

i guess i messed it up bad enough no one wants to say anything lol

well maybe ...i dunno ...i am trying to download now that i got home ....but i can say this ... there are all of a sudden alot of roms to try .....this is a good thing .....

I was working on my own port of this and didnt have the power down issue, but had no wifi, i put my boot image into your rom and power down went away but no wifi came back, what was fixed to get you wifi up, that is probably what caused the power down issue. nice port other than that, i incorporated a transparent lock screen and the usual verizon apks, live wallpaper also works. Thanks for your work

Note : do the steps down and if it doesn't work ... ok . i wanna really show you something , i want you all to understand it ..
after u do all the steps down .. you go till flash the kernel and stop and don't flash the overcome rom or any other roms .. leave the rom that u flashed from samfirmware . and pls compare both roms ok .. you'll found that there is no problem with overcome kernel . but the problem is from the rom ..
( in case the solution didn't work with you ) trust me . am trying to help you guys .. but u given me no any respect . and this is what am asking for from you . peace ....

as many of us got the same problem with the battery drain ..
for me after a 3weeks or 4 having this problem . i was really angry of it every second i'v to put my tab on the charger and wait for 20mins only from 99 to 100%
it's not fair right .. i love overcome ( kernel,Rom ) but its sucks my battery life
many ppl advised me to battery calibration , wipe battery status from CWM
but it is not working .. i flashed rotohammer then i reflash overcome back ,but its still drain ..
so what i did after almost a month of trying everything ..
from 2days an idea comes to mind and i really try it and it's really work my battery life now its working as same stock battery .. no drain . only 1time charge a day ( Night )
anyways i don't want to talk to much cuz of my english its (sucks) i know tnx for not mention that
lets start with the steps
1- flash any stock rom from Samfirmware.com with P1_add_hidden.pit and without root normal rom and don't worry about the bootloader
2- flash the rom via ODIN 1.7
3- now you back to the original stock , root your phone using ( superoneclick) or any root method
4- after rooting , grab the bootloader from XDA and install it in your tab or phone to make sure you can flash new kernels
5- after u did all the steps above .. using odin also flash the latest Overcome kernel using odin also ( PLS FOLLOW OVERCOME GUIDE )
6-before u flash the kernel make sure u put the rom in ur sdcard . and pls pls if u wan to success you must follow overcome guide ( don't say i didn't say later )
7-now you are done now hit the thanks button and pls give your opinion
NOTE : usually this prob happens to who upgrade to 1.6.x or some of few ppl who got this prob they can also use this solution .

What's your point? Your 7 steps are already included in the Overcome guid.

in overcome guide the steps are different ...... 1st i ask from samfirmware and not from rotohammer . second . i try it and its work with me .. if you don't have battery issue .. why you enter !!!!!

I have exactly the same problem. Battery goes from 70% to 20% in idle times of 20 minutes sometimes. But I like Overcome too.
I read in another thread that opening the SGT and diconnect the battery for a while could also be a solution. I searched high and low for a fitting tri-blade, can't find one yet.
So in the meantime I could try your solution and check if it is my solution too.

opening the cover is not a safety thing especially wen u still under the warranty
try my solution step by step

don't do the wipe factory or reset factory and don't wipe and don't also wipe dalvik ... just install the rom without wiping and see how it goes with u
if its still same try to wipe .. but 1st don't wipe ok

This is a myth, there is no void warranty at all. Anyone who opened the cover will not have their warranty void. But installing custom ROM might have an issue with warranty if not handle properly.

I am not affraid to open my gadgets. And - if done with the right tools - noone will notice it has been opened.
Trying to flash original P1000XWJMK now but Odin keeps crashing, i guess i have to redownload or use another frimware. Anyway, if I am ready i will come back with my opinion about this probable solution.

ok make sure u use stock rom from samfirmware .... not use rooted rom

trust me they will notice that u open the screws do u think they are stupid
flashing rom , kernel , will not void ur warranty only wen u be a stupid and take ur tab and show them that u have rot , kernel , rom ... and i bet u smart enough to not do that ..

actually they put something on the top of the screws to notice is that been opened or no ... because nokie Do THAT .. hihihihi ... i open my N97 the third day i bought it , after 2weeks i got something with the Screen .. i went to check they said .. sorry sir u opened ur cover , u void ur warranty so i paid around 90$ hahaahahah after i bought it 600$

My skill is pretty good and there is only 2 screws (tri type or you can name it as merc screw). The sticker on top of the screw is like black insulation type, nothing of temper proof type. The rest are just catch to the back cover. Seriously, anyone whom fail to improve their battery condition with easier methods, I think this will solve the problem once and for all.
However, if anyone feel that it is just heavy battery drain by SGT, it is not becoz of the battery issue. It is your apps. It is only when you encountered "strange" battery issues that arise from your normal usage (like mine), then it is worth "exploring".

I'd say sorry if you take it like that. It's not that who is good or bad. It's just you spent lots of time writing your post and so did I reading. But all these didn't make much sense. I was even confused. Because in your post you said "and pls pls if u wan to success you must follow overcome guide", but later you said your steps are different from overcome guide. I just didn't know whether I should follow the overcome guide or not. I didn't know which step had solved battery issue. I do have battery issue, but what I got from your post is just confusing. I believe many others don't get your point either. You can see none of the relies is related to your solution. That means no one has got your point. You have a wonderful solution but no one has got it. And it's not about English as I'm not native English speaker either.

ok here is wat u wont understand it
i said my steps are different from overcome because overcome given u already a rom to flash it before u flash they're kernel or watever
am given my solution that u have to take before u flash overcome kernel ..
got it ?

Think if in any doubt, best to just follow tried and tested steps by tried and tested devs. Not this guy.

Hello guys
i hav this market prob since 4-5 days and hav done everything i cn do to download apps bt still i cnt. It shows downloading in status bar bt it dznt.
Hav wiped the dalvik cache and also uninstalled updates in tht app settings of market plus i ha also tried to download using data i.e over the Edge, yea thats wht we still hav here lol
anyways ppl plz help mie solve this prb. I hav done all these things more thn thrice also i hav upgraded and downgraded market 2-3 times bt still m unable to download apps.
NEED HELP HERE GUYS.

What is your firmware or ROM that you are running? That way we can help you more. It could be a firmware related issue. I have a few ideas for solutions if you like the option of reflashing the phone.

That has happened to me twice, what i just did was give it a few tries waiting a few minutes every time and not letting the screen go off, then cancel the download or update and try again, once you get to do it once it will be normal the rest of the times.

Blitz brigade ( multiplayer fps ) Wont work on my fido s4 but seems to work on some 4

So theres this kinda new online fps called Blitz Brigade on the playstore . Some s4 users can play while others cant . I love that game . Works ok on my old tablet with ics but wont work with my shiny s4 :/ . This is one of the best game on android ! If some of you have any idea that I could try it would be appreciated .

Im using the stock firmware . Im on 4.2.2 and rooted . I dit a factory reset to make sure i wasnt the problem and it didnt work either :/

I had an app that was working in the past . I followed some instruction I found on the net to change a few video settings into devellopers options and it worked great . Im real good with instructions but im really far from understanding what im doing LOL . So I tried changing a few things here and there to make it work witouth success . Must be pretty easy I think for someone who knows what hes doing since there is some s4 who can run blitz brigade and some who dont . Thats according to positive and negative review on the playstore . ( All the setting I changed were put back to normal right after each fail )

Yes the game opens . I get the loading screen . Then the pick a username . Once I get to the pick a username screen . If I type a nickname or not it doesnt matter . Takes 5 seconds then the screen freeze and close . Im not getting any error message . It just close with no explanation . Same thing is happening to most negative review from s4 users on the playstore . While some evil one are saying thanks . Great app ... bla bla bla . I guess they have the european version hehe

I got a Note 3 N9005!
The device says "No Service" or " emergency calls only " .. but the name of the operator appears on the lockscreen
when i try to register manualy it said " can't register right now please try again later "
please help i tried every thing on the xda forums and didnt solve the problem !!
i m using a rooted divice with a custom room with lollipop 5.1.1 !!

i fixed the problem by turnng the location on !!!
but yet this is just another problem need to be fixed !! :silly:

Wish it was that easy for me! Did you notice it again later? Was there something else you noticed that may have gotten it to work/not work? I'm running out of ideas and I like this ROM... I don't want to go back to stock if everything else works just fine.
