[Q] Sound stops working - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys -
I just got the N4 yesterday to replace my many broken GNex's. I love this phone to death, but I'm having a problem:
Every now and then my sound will just stop. All sounds; notifications, phone calls (voice in the call), music and anything else that will make sound. Rebooting fixes it, but I don't want to reboot 100 times a day. It happened on 4.2.1 stock and it's happening on 4.2.1 AOKP rooted. I have no OC settings or CPU tweaks right now. No custom kernel either.
Anyone else having this issue? I also have that reboot issue, but I know that's a big bug.

Lol and now when I get a phone call it crashes.

Sound problems after notification

Every time I'm listening to music through the headphones and i receive a notification or a phone call, no sound will come out from the phone after and the only fix is a reboot. Anyone else having this issue? Any fix? I'm about to try different music players but I'm pretty sure that's not the problem. I'm on CM 4.02, Recovery 1.4.
Can anyone offer up some help? I doubt its a problem with the phone since its been a problem even before i got a replacement G1 -_-
Reflash the latest radio.
That should do it.

Microphone volume fades?

I have the MyTouch3g rooted with CM 4.0.4 and I am having an issue with my microphone volume. It works fine in calls for a few minutes, but then occasionally drops to being really quiet to where the person on the other end of the call can't hear me. Occasionally it comes back, but usually the other person hangs up, thinking they've lost the call.
Is this a common problem, and is there a software fix for it? I am pretty sure it happened with other versions of CM and my phone was rooted pretty soon after i got it, so i don't know if a stock image has the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated!

[Q] N4 in call volume super low

My in call volume is super low. It just happened suddenly. Yesterday I was talking with dozens of people without a problem.
Today, I can't hear anything above a whisper. I have changed every volume setting I can find and used various apps to increase volumes. None of them helped. I decided that maybe it has something to do with CyanogenMod, so I flashed back to stock. I even deleted all settings and set phone back to factory settings and this problem persists no mater what I do.
I'm thinking my phone is broke.
Any ideas I can try. I love my N4, but I can't make calls unless I use Bluetooth now.

Try the latest trinity kernel with mizleds audio mod. Night and day difference in sound. If that doesnt work then maybe getting a replacement would be in order.

[Q] Weird Sound During Calls

I just updated to Cyanogenmod 10.2 (was previously running 10.1), and now whenever I make or receive a call, a weird sound repeats during the call. It sounds like an alert sound (although not like one I have set up), repeated over and over at a fast interval. When I turn the phone on silent, the sound isn't heard.
Has anyone else experienced this or knows a way to fix this? Please help.
EDIT: I did a second wipe and reinstall of CM 10.2, and everything works now

[Q] CM11 bugs and solutions

Hello,
yesterday I installed the last nightly snapshot of CM11 on my LG G2 but I noticed the following problems. I hope you could suggest me a solution for them.
During a call, the proximity sensor detect my face and turn off the screen. But when I finish the call or simply when I move the phone away from the ear, the screen remain OFF and I need to double tap to wake it up. I don't think this is an expected behavior.
When I receive an email or SMS/Hangouts, the notification sound looks to be fragmented. The sound starts, then interrupts for some milliseconds and then start again. This is annoying.
No radio nor IR in the ROM. I know, I'm on AOSP kernel, but I really guess that a custom rom for a specific device have to carry on ALL hardware features itself, without to flash or to modify further.
Apart this, CM11 is a GREAT rom.
Can you help me to solve my problems with CM11?
Thanks :victory:
I also suffer from issue #1 and issue #2 immedietely after a phone call ends. The normal tap sound becomes a buzz sound but goes away in less than 30 seconds.
