Hey guys, does anyone have a problem with their aux when playing music in the car?
When i plug the wire in, the music plays with the external speakers rather than the car speakers?
My htc one x plays fine :/
Any ideas?
Is the aux cable working fine on other devices? Have you tried other apps? Mine works fine on my car, only issue I have is that the volume is too low...

this.
Mine is working perfect in 2 cars.
i think its possible that i didnt ground the aux cord correctly when I did it long time ago
but in the mean time i found a fix for it, there this app called "SoundAbout" it forces the audio out as "wired headset with mic"
but still, the strange thing is, it works fine on my htc one x / iphone

I have this problem with my BA in that the speaker on the device still plays the audio when my head phones are plugged in.
Does anyone else have this problem.
I am using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter I bought off ebay that was for this device. The head phones work nicely and play in stereo.
The device is WM6.
Thanks
Same problem
I had the same problem but just once. I played mp3 with HTC audio manager and then I received a phone call. After I end my phone call, the song continued to play but then the sound also come out from the speaker not just from my earphone. I used a motorola 2,5mm stereo earphone
Thanks
Actually. you are right. That is exactly what happened to me. I tried my earphones again today, and it worked fine.
I was thrilled to find this out! I plugged in my AUX cable to listen to my podcasts on DoubleTwist and I decided to try out the Genius button to call someone thinking it would not work. Well, it seems that the phones microphone stays on when the AUX is plugged in and it does not detect a built in microphone. The call came clear through my cars speakers and the person I called could hear me very well with it attached to my dash.
So, those of you like me that are too cheap to buy a hands-free set up with your car stereo...well...now you have one! The G1 couldn't do this but I don't know about other android phones.
my g1 has never had any probems using the aux set up for fake Bluetooth in the car

Same Here on my g1
I've noticed a loud thumping sound, same loudness as whatever I'm listening to, while using headphones or plugged into the auxiliary input in my car. It happens whenever I do an action like exit or open an app, or when an audio track ends or starts, example being whenever tracks change in Play Music.
Verizon is sending me a replacement phone, so I'll post if I notice it on the next one or not.
Same on T-Mobile version
It happens on my car aux input. Every time I hit play on a song, there is an audible thump before the music starts
This happens to me as well on my VZW G2. Mainly when its plugged into my car and I change tracks.
It happens to me too

New phone is still doing it, but not as bad. Most pronounced in Play Music.
No problem here with headphones or usb aux in Pioneer head. VZW Variant.

I know its not the car's aux input (via headphone jack) as 2 other phones work fine in the same car.
No clue. The two and only things relating to audio I have modded is increasing gain to 65 and removing the headphone notification. Doubt the latter makes a dif. I have used the tone 730 bts, 4 dif sets of plug headphones (one had separate jack for Mic), two dif USB wires for aux through mpt on Pioneer head unit, and one headphone to headphone aux input on Pioneer unit. I get crisp clean audio, no thump.
I've noticed mine does it in the car but when I connect to a Bluetooth speaker or use headphones it doesn't

ok, I've narrowed it down to only happening to me on Google Play Music on the current phone. I have someone from google working on the issue with me now. Did try a different aux/headphone cable, no difference.

Discovered another app that does it, Stitcher. Same behavior, whenever a podcast is started/stopped. Google punted the issue saying its hardware. I opened a case with LG support and they said they are already aware of the problem and are working on a solution to be included in a future update.
Mine does it even on bluetooth. Tested with a jbl charge and a jambox mini.

I have had my Mad Catz M.O.J.O for about 4 months now and It is rooted. I have everything set up where I have 2 computer speakers connected to my tv while the M.O.J.O. is connected via Hdmi. However, I have been having problems with the sound not coming out of the tv. It has of course worked at some point before. I have tried to search it, but I haven't found anyone else with the same issue for the M.O.J.O. The sound is enabled and turned up in the settings.
Hi!
Just for clarification have you tried playing sound on your TV via HDMI from another device than the Mojo? And does the Mojo play sound when plugging the speakers directly to it's audio jack?

Yes I have. Before I used the M.O.J.O, I used my laptop to connect to the tv for games, movies, etc. The sound worked fine.
The M.O.J.O does connect with the speakers if you plug them in directly to the audio jack, but it doesn't use 100% of the speakers. It will have some sound in one speaker and in the other there will be no sound.
I recently bought a Griffin Aux Audio Cable to try. I connected one end to the M.O.J.O and the other end to my tv's audio jack. While using the cable, the sound doesn't instantly work, but after some minutes it appears to in a sense reconnect the M.O.J.O sound to the tv. After the sound reconnects, I can then connect my speakers and then everything works perfect.
I'm not exactly sure why, but the problem is solved for now.

Did you figure out why it works or not?
I recently swapped my ouya for mojo and I dont get sound on HDMI at all no matter what cable/port combination I use, the sound is present on speaker output.

If I were you I would try to return it if I can or try to use the warranty if it still has one.
The problem from mine progressed and worsened to where I just sent it off to Mad Catz. I had got another one (latest model) and it works much better. If you didn't buy it and just swapped out, I am currently selling mine. It's practically new with no problems. If not, I hope I was somewhat helpful.

The headphone port on my unit looks installed improperly - I do get sound via headphones, but its possible its short circuited somewhere and the unit is cutting off HDMI audio thinking the phones are plugged in, I will return it and see if they can fix it, but I expect its something silly like this.

Ok, Mad Catz is very helpful when helping fix issues for their customers. They should be able to help you with the problem. Call them and or file a ticket to send it in.
Fixed,
The issue was that my unit was a refub and the headphone jack was soldered incorrectly, we unsoldered the jack and short circuited all the right pins and now i have working sound
Hi guys, so im wondering if anyone else have encountered a similar problem to mine.
I usually play music through bluetooth headsets, works absolutely flawless!
But in my car, a 2010 Audi A4 i only have the option to talk via the phone, car doesnt support music playback. So when i plug my 3.5mm in and try to play music (via spotify) i get this crackling sound. Doesnt happen on other devices like my JBL speaker, but the wierd thing is that my girlfriends iphone doesnt produce any crackling sound what so ever in the car. So im looking for options, i run stock OOS and kernel, no root or anything.
Would V4A help with this?
Anyone else got a similar problem?
Someone might recommend me to get a bluetooth adapter via AMI in the car but sadly the car doesnt have AMI. Or atleast i cant find it anywhere!
Any other solutions you guys could recommend?
Thanks in regards.

Can you update the car stereo firmware? At that age possibly not, but I had similar issues with a different phone and updating the media panel firmware fixed connectivity.
Also, try changing the Bluetooth codec in settings > advanced to see if that helps connect.
The crackling via 3.5 jack sounds like a faulty wire or lose connection on input or output. Do you get the same issue when you plugin the jack to your JBL input socket?

Could probably update the firmware, but the shop is most likely gonna ruin me haha.
Thats the wierd thing, doesnt happen on my JBL speaker, or a wired pair of headphones. Hence why i was sure it was the car. But my girlfriends phone sounds crystal clear, old moto x style didnt have the problem either!
Had the same problem with 3.5mm headphones until I removed the pre-applied plastic screen protector... This thing was causing too much static electricity in my jeans pocket as I walked resulting in crackling noises in the headphones
We have two op5, And The other sounds exactly same, cracling sound. The other Works just fine. We also have A4 b8. Our other car, VW Caddy, both Works fine.
Wires are good, jacks also.
Any ideas Whats wrong?
I have the OnePlus 5t and a 2011 a4 b8 and have the same issue... tried with 2 different aux cables (that worked fine with my old phone) Glad I'm not the only one. My phone sounds fine on any other device. Blasting music through my headset right now no problem. But in the a4 I get crackles any time I bring my phone volume over half! If anyone finds a solution I'd love to try it. Unfortunately can't get viper arise to install on stock room (rooted) so I haven't tried that route. My only Idiea is to try an amplifier.
