Well i wouldnt have asked if I could easily have updated to JB... the update fails for me so Im stuck on ICS for now, i asked because if it worked i would update.. so hence i am going to try to update to jb manually

Works great in JB Stock Browser, Boat, Skyfire, Firefox (lacks), Not working in Chrome

1. Copy and Paste the Files from OP into the Directories and set Permissions like the other Files. (i used "Root Explorer")
2. NOW you have to delete any "adobe.flash" File in /data/dalvik-cache !!!!!
3. Reboot
i think deleting any "adobe.flash" File in Dalvik-Cache is the Solution for everybody

- run phone.apk and contacts.apk
- copy them and paste inside phone memory "system/app"

First, i just unziped the file and i installed the two apks (phone.apk and contacts.apk) inside the folder "system/app".than worked but after restart it didnt work.Than i replaced these two apks inside the "system/app" in the interior phone memory.after restart it worked permanently.it has worked for two days with a lot of restart.
What is interior phone data (data/app)? Did you installed it normaly like click on app and install?

1. Download T9dialer_for_ICS_4_0_3.zip, and unzip it.
2. (Optional). Make a backup of your old .apk's. In case it's not working. They are found in system\app.
3. Copy the files you just downloaded, and paste them in system\app, overwriting the old ones.
4. Change the permissions of the files that you just pasted in system\app, to: RW-R-R
5. Reboot your phone.

It's a bad habit to share stuff like this... noobs get used to it and when you less expect someone starts share hijacked apps. :\
Weird how people complain about random app's permissions, when the android permissions system sucks ass: there are many simple tasks that apps do, but the system requires the app to request almost-full phone access. On the other hand, no-one seems to even question some guy that simply shares a zip and instructs them to flash it through the recovery!!!

It's supposed to be like that...
And I think this is the dialer from CM, so it's safe. I have no problems with it, it's been the only mod I install on Aurora since the beginning.

Nope, but if you want sure... mount the partition that you edit! So if you insert anything in /system moun /system! But it isn't necessary!

That's the point I prefer use the adv.stock.kernel because it is zip flashable that way Im independent of the computer to flash the kernel

Yep, you need only a recovery, you can flash in 4.0.4, 5.0, 5.1.1, 6.0, 999999.0

I can confirm that it works. Did a dirty flash. Just wiped Cache afterwards. Recovery is there and everything works fine.

Only recovery files available, this can be only flashed with twrp mod not in stock recovery.
Try it on your own risk.
Be sure to flash Also SuperSU
The procedure to install and also avoid losing TWRP recovery would be:
--------------------------------------------------------------
- Flashing the ROM zip from the TWRP mod by nijel8, DO NOT Restart.
- Mount SYSTEM.
- Return to the main menu, enter "Advanced / File Manager".
- Scroll down to "system", check if all files will be shown.
- Go down to "recovery from boot press open and delete file if available to keep the twrp version.
- STILL DO NOT RESTART.
- Flashing the SuperSU zip for decryption.
- Now restart and ready.

Recovery install has been blocked so you need to use Fastboot.

I did the recovery trough twrp and this flashed fine , but i had a lot of errors on miui , after i flashed fastboot and all perfect.
Better flash the fastboot file to be sure !
