Should I be worried about my screen with the nav-bar? - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

From burn in? Are there preventative measures we can take to reduce the chance of burn in from the bar?
Sent from my XT907 using xda app-developers app

I know amoled screens can get burn in because I had a zunehd floor model that had it, but that thing was left running the same thing 24/7. I've read about some galaxy s phones with it too. I'm sure its possible especially with the Nav bar and notification bar. I'm guessing you wouldn't have to worry in the time you will have the phone, though.

Or you can get rid of the nav bar all together and just use gestures which I do. Burn in is possible but not likely either way.

I'd love to, but I don't want to forego the warranty by rooting :/ At least on my Droid X I could revert the phone and they would never know it was rooted :/

Help! I had no luck in finding an answer 4 this issue...

Its a 2.2 sms popup. I only have handcent and stock sms installed. Theres nowhere in the menu to disable it. I ask around about this and noone knows what I'm taking about. It shows up on every rom I install. Has anyone seen this and how do I disable it? Someone? anyone?

Did some searching for you, any chance you have an app called "Contacts Blast"?
2nd SS looks like it

I have contacts blast, but I aquired it not too long ago. This anomaly had made its appearance as soon as I rooted and flashed my first 2.2 rom back in august. Contacts blast was purchased a month and a half later.

Custom shade

Hello. Newb alert ..Is there any way out there to change the color background on my shade?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA Premium App
What exactly do you mean by shade?
Perhaps you mean notification drawer?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
If you do mean notification drawer then yes just flash a theme
Thx guys ya I meant notification drawer, any dark themes for the x you know of ? I came from the first droid things were a little easier with a unlocked bootloader...
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA Premium App
I'm not too sure about many of the custom themes out there, but Gingerbread themes are dark. I just prefer the look and feel of Gingerbread so I use that kind of theme pretty much exclusively.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
It really depends on what rom you are using. If you could tell me which one you're using I could point you in the right direction.
Personally I'd recommend installing liberty and flashing a theme through the toolbox. There's a bunch of them all with screenshots right there. And it installs them for you
Thanks guys actually I was doing a little research and came across Chevy,s Simply Stunning x v1.1 and I love it, I used allot of his hard work with my original droid

Can't see it but I recommend waiting for update. But take back if the update doesn't arrive in your replacement time.
Well I have 2 years of warranty of course. Hope update will salve it.
It doesn't bother me that much, but still. It's new and it suppose to have best deep black ever. And now my sgs 1 have much better black than this

Menu/home soft buttoms

Hi,
I was curious if someone could tell me what the left and right arrows are for on either side of the menu/home/back buttons (see attached pic). I press them and nothing happens, and I can't find a description anywhere of what they do. Thanks

I wish those arrows showed up on mine, guess Sprint didn't get that option. Unless it's something you are supposed to enable in settings.
