All,
I am considering buying this camera however I was trying to see whether there was a method of automatically uploading my photos to a storage site (without having to go into the apps and manually selecting the photos and hitting "upload"). Does anyone know if this is possible??
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your help. Please confirm/

There's always the Google+ auto upload option too, you don't have to do anything other than be signed in and have it turned on, I don't even use Google+ itself, other than that feature.

hey guys,
I tried to share some videos made by myselft on my N1, but, i realized that it's only possilble using a wifi network ! So, do someone knows if i can do something to share over 3G network ? I mean any software that trick my phone and make it believe that is on wifi!
Thanks anyway !
Interestingly enough I found that I can upload any size video to youtube via 3g by using the seesmic twitter app. Run the application, and go into setup to change video sharing to youtube from yfrog. Then enter your credentials. From then on, when you record a video, click share and then seesmic. It will automatically start the seesmic app with a tweet started "http://www.youtube.com/********". Let automatic the upload continue in the background and once you check back and it is a solid link you know it's complete. You do not have to tweet the link as it's already active, simply copy the link to whatever means you which to distribute.
weird I have had no problems uploading via 3G Did a test one a week ago here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_LpuZexiJPY
hey, this really do the trick! thanks! But there is no way to share direct from youTube appl? (Only have a problem with big files, i believe 2mb+)

Hi.
I'm introducing an awsome application made by Samsung.
Its name is SnapNGo.
There are two files which are sng_setup.exe and SnapNGo.apk.
SnapNGo.apk is installed on your device and sng_setup.exe is on your PC.
In order to use them, those two machines must be online.
After installation both of them, turn on the Snap N' Go file in your PC.
And then turn on the SnapNGo application in your device as well.
You must see the camera screen.
Default setting is "from PC to Device".
If you want to pull a file out from PC, just take its photo.
Put the file icon in the middle of Camera's focusing box and press shoot button.
That's all. Your file will be located in /sdcard/SnapNGo/
Here's the attachment's link. It's 9.07MB zipped.

A sad thing is that it doesn't work on Froyo, at least with mine.
edit : Oh my god.. there is the place where I should've written down this kind of thread.
I'm sorry, how can I move this to there?
HAHAH !!! it works
This a really nice app thanks buddy

from PC to your device : I think any files are available. I haven't tested all files but there were nothing I couldn't send. e.g. apk, zip, txt etc..
from I9000 to PC : there are only a few files supported. jpgs or something.
PC client crash on Windows 7 x64.
At least on mine :/

Don't suppose an x64 version was available? (I did try to find the page but couldn't)
You may want to try SwiFTP, it does ftp over wifi. It's a 1 click setup and you can then access it with any machine on the network. Super fast and easy.
many thanks for this helpfull program, which works perfictily ob the latest orange froyo 2.2.
however, there is newer addition of it, if some one can bring it to us, that would be great.

Thanks for pointing out. very nice utility. Another one is Wifi Explorer pro.
Astro file manager I can transfer any files from my pc to phone and vice versa if you connected to the network via wifi
Will stick with awesome drop, this is a bit clunky, but very clever.

I saw this on lifehacker earlier. I thought maybe there were a few dropbox users here that could use more space.
1. Download the new client from http://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=52900 and install on PC
2. Put a lot of pictures on your phone
3. Hook phone up to PC
4. Get 500MB extra with the first upload plus 500MB more for every 500MB uploaded up to 4.5GB free
Similarly OT, have they discovered the wonderful world of cryptography yet? Was a PITA having to crypt everything presync (yay Tasker). I'm back to sloppy homemade FTP server until then.

I'm not really sure. I never use it for anything sensitive or private.

I don't think that there is an upload dialog on the desktop client... Just drop stuff into the Dropbox folder and it syncs automagically.
exactly i cant upload from my pc i cant find the "upload option

Is it not putting a small blue icon on the lower left side of the file icon? That's the upload in progress icon. A green one is uploaded.
There isn't an option that I have seen to manually up load. It just syncs the folder you set when you installed it.

I put photos/videos on my phone and then detached and reattached USB. Then, autoplay prompted me to use dropbox to open the drive. It copied them to a folder called camera uploads on my pc's dropbox folder and synced them.

Ahh! There's my problem. I refuse to allow autoplay to work on any of the Windows boxen in my house.
Here is the for sure way to get the 500mb. First either download the apk from here. Or get it straight to your phone from this QR code. Both of these links can be found at the Dropbox forum page here.
Once you have the app installed either fresh or over a previous install. Open it. It should take you through the setup as if it was a new install rather than an update. Once the setup was over the app went to a new screen and showed my photos and videos being found and then it began to upload them.
I did have an issue when running it for the first time. I went into my settings while it was uploading. When I went back to Dropbox. The app did a funky crash, force close. Then it got interesting. The app opened and wanted to start all over, then closed, then opened and began a loop of that that would not close or allow me to get to settings or anything that would help. I had no issue when pressing the fingerprint button and then choosing to shut down. After it restarted I went to Dropbox and started it. I had to log in, but other than that it is running just fine. No more weird loops, fc's or strangeness of any sort so far. And I did get my 500mb right away. I did delete the photos that I tried uploading from my pc earlier and it didn't act like I cheated or anything.
Hope that this helps.
all i did was make some throwaway 720p videos with the stock camera app. after u stop the video dropbox will start uploading. extra 4.5 gb with minimal effort...
My upload speed is 512kbps i think i cant get more then extra 500mb
Well I managed to drop my NS in the most unfortunate way, which cause the display to stop functioning, I can see the drop down menu.... kinda, but that is about the only way I know it is on.
Is it possible to recover the data I had on it? Pictures and videos?
And for my new phone is there a way to syc my photos online somehow?
Thanks,
PS, I had a pin lock on the screen.
Yes you can.
I am assuming you have enabled usb debugging.
Download Android Commander and make a backup of your sdcard using that.

If you really want to retrieve back your deleted photos, try http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-nexus/general/guide-internal-memory-data-recovery-yes-t1994705, and switch off your phone now to prevent deleted photos being overwritten! Once overwritten, it will be gone forever.
Good luck!
