Hi All,
I have a nand based android rom phone and now whenever i try to install any app it will automatically install on memory partition not on sd card so is there any way to install the apps on sd card.
Hey just picked up a a500 with android 3.2 on it. I don't have an sd card nor do I really want to buy one since I have the 32gb model and really don't need the extra space. I'm wondering if after I root my tablet. Can I flash a new rom onto it without an external sd card.
Thanks,
Chad
Yes, once you are rooted and have the newer version of cwm installed you will be able to use internal memory as an option in recovery. The problem is, I believe the version of cwm that installs with the acer recovery installer does not support the internal sd so you will have to borrow a microsd card to root and install the upgraded recovery. You can always use the one from your phone.
You can also use a USB Memory stick....

Go into recovery, make a full nandroid backup, remove old and insert new sd card, restore backup. You should be good.
I'm installing Dynamic Kat 5.0 using Safestrap 3.75, do I need a microSD card, or can I have the ROM on my computer?
You need to put the ROM on either a micro SD or on your internal SD. A micro SD is not required.
