[Q] Samsung Galaxy Y - GT-S5369

I wonder if Samsung Galaxy Y GT-5369 is the same phone as GT-5360.
All the rom aviable in this forum are compatible also for GT-5369 if is a different model?

It might be compatible. All the things are same but i think by GT-S5369 you mean it is the dual sim version. (not talking abt duos. There is also a dual sim version). It may be incomatible as in our phones we have it for only 1 sim. Gsm. Try it yourself. Make a backup with cwm (check on aurora v1 or aurora v2).

hi, I have Samsung Y GT-S5369, I need rom stock free, nothing vodafone

Hi everybody!!.
I'm from Spain and new in this forum.
Well, in Spain, Vodafone is commercializing the Samsung Galaxy Young GT S5369 and there's a lot of controversy if this smartphone is the same than GT 5360 or is it's compatible. (I think they are different devices).
The two only references to this smartphone in all Internet are XDA and a spanish forum. I invite the administrators of XDA to open a new topic about GT S5369 and make a review: rooting, roms, troubleshooting, etc.
Sorry for my basic english and thank you all in advantage.

S5360 and S5369 is the same, maybe its only region locked / for some regions only..

Has this been confirmed? I would like to know for sure before I try to install a S5360 ROM on my S5369.

The two phones must be different in some way. You'll hard brick your phone if you try to install the custom rom of another device. Be careful!

Thanks for the info. I will just keep the stock ROM on it and remove /freeze the vodafone stuff that's on it.

Aren't there rooms for it??? I might make one..

Now I have to files inside the package:
S5369BULA1_S5369VDILA1_S5369BULA1_HOME.tar.md5
and SS_DL.dll
How to flash with Odin3 ?

The guides to flash any phone's firmware with odin is the same, provided you know the boot, modem, csc, pit, etc. files.

But in the package is only two files
1. S5369BULA1_S5369VDILA1_S5369BULA1_HOME.tar.md5
2. SS_DL.dll
There is no boot, modem, csc, pit, etc. files.

I have also the s5369, and i installed the custom rom CHOBITSDIGITALIS available at this address :

It worked fine for me, but i have not tried to reflash to the stock rom s5369.

guys i need to know if it is compatible or not. a friend of mine have one of them and want me to flash cm7, shall i proceed or not?

S5360 & S5369 are the same...
It is just about region.
I tested lots of roms on it and are fully working

It's not about the region, it" about the provider!
It is the Vodafone branded version of S5360

[Q] Want Stock rom for Galaxy Y S5360DDLF1

Please someone upload the stock ROM for Galaxy Y S5360DDLF1 Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread
As there are lot's of problem now after formatting my rooted device.
I am unable to use the internet pack, whenever I switch on my phone it show's pop ups like com.phone.android stopped working...
And I think by updating the ROM may be the problem will fix and I may be able to use my Internet pack again...
Please Help by providing the link to stock ROM or any other alternative....

Sticky in development will get you odin flashable DDLF1
And if you want deodexed DDLF1
First odin flash DDLF1 and the there is a CWM flashable DDLF1 in development flash that, that will make your stock deodexed

[Q] Installed jellyblast V3 now cant make calls or send text ? help!!

i just installed jellyblast v3 and now i cant send texts make phone calls or even brows the net unless i use wifi Help i love the rom and dont want to go back to stock!!

Update it to V3.0.3 I have it on my phone but it didn't ever caused a problem

That's what i have on my phone i tried a few of them but it just wont work i don't understand i have never had any problems with other ROMS

try flashing CSC or (PHONE) via Odin.

actually i've encounter your problem too last monday, so i flash CSC (the one that your firmware version is like DXLF1,etc.) then my sgy was back o normal.
-Flash CSC (ur region) in CSC LINE via ODIN.
About wifi, think you should flash the PHONE one.
-Flash MODEM (ur region) in PHONE LINE via ODIN.
CSC is ur region.
PHONE is ur WIFI i think )

i have been trying to find the files to flash the rom from ODIN but i can't find anything im new to the galaxy y and it was so much easyer with htc desire. if you know any souch link to get the files for ODIN that would be grate any help would be grate at the min i have hat to flash back to stock rom! OH the joys...not Cheers for the reply man let me know ASAP!! ;D

Here's the link to the FIRMWARES bro.
take note : You must flash the COUNTRY/REGION of your place like, Philippines,Europe,South America,etc, something like that.
You also know the type-of-device the one you've got something like DXL1,DXLE1,etc.

do this.....
download the zip file i m giving u and replace its boot.img with the one from ur region stock rom......
open the pda.tar file and copy the boot.img to the zip file....
it will replace the boot.img with ur region file.....
flash it in cwm.....

Stock Kernel Collection For SGY
From the above link download the stock kernel for your region and flash that by using odin.
Use search button for instructions on flashing kernel through odin.

U8800-51 Venezuela JB/KK help!

Hi, im here in representation of all Venezuela users who have the u8800-51
As some of u may know, our phone here in Venezuela had problems to get data + WiFi since ics roms, we made it work full 3g+wifi on ics roms using a #5 imei file of a full working ics u8800pro
but when we tryed any JB or KK ROM our phone only gets wifi..
So here i go: someone with the u8800pro (using a full 3g+wifi working JB or KK ROM) can send us a #5 imei backup file to try and see if 3g+WiFi works on our device?
We all wants to upgrade our phone to JB/KK

Its just the #5 file, not the whole backup..
Maybe it could work with a image of a full working jb/kk ROM from a u8800pro, i know its a lot bigger xD the image compressed its like 1gb

Dude, you've just made my day! I knew I wasn't the only one looking for this, totally suport this... :fingers-crossed: I too am from Venezuela and can confirm exactly what you say. I can't get to work 3G on any JB/KK ROM, only wifi. I've flashed almost every JB/KK ROM posted on XDA for u8800pro and some for u8800-51 yet still, I only get wifi conection.
I've been looking all over the internet for some time and can't found any answer to our problem yet.

Ok i tryed it with the imei5file of an u8860 but when i reboot phone i got blue screen.. i had to restore vía diskimage xD
I hope someone could help us with a file of a u8800pro, or maybe a image of a full working jb/kk ROM (made before putting the email etc etc)

I have not done even a single working backup that 5iromtoolbox, so I don't believe to whole program. Doesn't the DFS tool work on the -51? Of course you need a stock ICS to restore IMEI with that tool..

I mean a whole rom backup via roadkil diskimage

5.img need only file is not illegal, is not the imei, baseband only lock by the operator, a u8800pro 5.img file is needed kk roms and / or jb please
11.img = Contains the Imei
10.img = Signal - Baseband
5.img = Contains the boot image and dode this the blockade imposed by the operator.

11.img = Contiene El Imei
10.img = Señal - Baseband
5.img = Contiene la imagen del boot y dode esta el bloqueo impuesto por el operador.

So noone wants to help us? Its just a single file #5 of an imei backup! Not the whole imei..

I think everyone have the u8800 and/or the pro.. The -51 from chile is ok, but our -51 here in venezuela have a problem to get data and wifi on Jb / kk roms
