making apks download

does anyone no how to make an apk install? for example miui music someone gave me the apk and it installed fine but I downloaded the miui rom and extracted it and took out the miui music but it wont install and I cant use root explorer cuz im not rooted is there something special you have to do to the apk so it will install?

I believe that u have to re-sign the Apk .... if u search the forums or Google it u may find an answer.... also if u search u might find an updated miui music apk.

Indeed...The apk needs to be signed before it's installed. Download zipsigner 2 from the market. Put the .apk on your phone, sign it, and install it with your file manager.

Try clearing data & cache under settings/applications/manage applications and then a reboot.

still not working can I pm the apk that isnt signed and see if you can get it working
but ill pm tomarrow becuase im not home

One other thing......Did you uninstall your old Miui Music app before you installed this one, or did you install over the top of it? Sometimes it makes a difference.

[ROM Release] Kiss4Droid (Based on B572G)

This is the 1st ROM I developed/cooked
It is based on official B572G Release so it's Gingerbread 2.3.5
The ROM follows a K.I.S.S philosophy trying to have almost no extra apps installed so you can build your system around your needs
Let's see what changed:
Changes:
1) Changed Default Launcher to Zeam
2) Removed a lot of apps from Huawei and left only the essential ones(install everything else you need from PlayStore or by installing apk files from other roms)
3) Changed Default CPU Governor to SmartAssV2
4) updated hosts file(no more ads) and gps.conf (for europe usage)
5) Added Volume Rocker Wake
6) Unlocked FPS & Root Permissions(of course )
7) Removed some audio files from the media folder to save space
8) Added init.d & build.prop tweaks(some of them may not work,but they don't have any side effect in the system so I left them there on purpose)
9) Changed Camera & Settings Icon to look like ICS (thanks to Pikachukaki for his great guide in replacing .png files in apk files)
10) Patched libsqlite.so
11) HDR function enabled on camera(well this actually is included in number 8 cuz it's a build.prop tweak )
12) Fast Boot Option is removed (again a build.prop tweak)
I have also made some little tricks here and there in the cust.img so make sure before flashing the ROM that you have a working backup and/or a backup of the cust.img
I edited the cust.img and removed all extra apps and module files there,and also changed the default language to english because without this the ROM would boot the 1st time in chinese
If you don't want to flash my cust.img that is in the .zip file simpy delete it from there
If you flashed and you want your old cust.img back simply boot into pink screen and replace it with you cust.img backup
There is no side effect from the cust.img change except that you will lose swype,huawei ime(I prefer the basic android keyboard anyways) and also the Totem Weather Widget
Installation:
Do the following in any order
-------------------------------------------------
Wipe data/factory reset
Advanced->Wipe Dalvik Cache
Mounts & Storage-> Format system
--------------------------------------------------
Now flash the .zip file
Reboot
Enjoy!
Everything is working in this ROM (because it's based on official B572) except TV-OUT of course
Anyway.Tell me what you think of my 1st work on android.

NP m8....i havent search it for long...so i didn't try to modified...also for GB it didnt have no point...the rom is broken from release one! anyway..one day remain for ICS...lets see!!

could you please tell me how i can have contact sync on this rom? whenever i click accounts on the contacts apk i get android.process.core force close. I have installed the latest gapps but still no sync. other than that great rom

hmmm. That is a personal opinion. I like cm7 more due to the power widget,screen on/off animation etc
But if someone wants an official huawei gingerbread ROM(official for U8800+, not a port from honor e.g kalo) then this should be a good choice.

extracts fine with no erros here on win7 x64 bit and 7zip 9.20 x64
maybe the file corrupted on download! try redownloading and extract

do you try to extract from phone or from pc? if yes with which program? try with 7zip just to make sure
p.s. downloaded the file twice and I got no errors really

As title says, I want to get rid of Apollo on CM10, is there a way to reinstall stock player? Or what would you suggest as a player?

You will need root explorer or es file explorer in order to remove Apollo from the system/app folder. Then you can install the player of choice.

Yes there is a way. Using root explorer, you can go to system/app/ and delete apollo.apk. And then, if you want the stock player, you can paste Music2.apk in the same folder, fix permissions, then restart. You now have the stock player instead of Apollo.

ive always just disabled this in apps since it really aint where it needs to be just yet. on top of that android will sometimes unpause apollo from two days ago rather then the google music app i was just using, when i hit the hardware button on my headphones.

This is not a feature of the app but of the custom ROMs. As long as the ROM you're using has that mod, it will work with Google Music.

Titanium backup can also do the uninstall for you.
I'll second poweramp. Its definitely my player of choice, although it isn't free. For me the replay gain support is worth the money.

[SOLVED] Fix Permission Problem

Hello everybody ¡¡¡
This evening I flashed few app via CWM and Fix Permission then after rebooting Music and Gallary apps were not working.
I installed sony walkman then also no file are playing but when I play any file manually from My Files it is working but not directly from app.
This is why so ?? ,can someone please help me to fix it soon.

Should try to set permissions manually to rw-r-r and reboot and for the apps not showing the song this might be due to the cache so wipe cache and dalvik cache by CWM.

HTC Stock (Official ) File Manager for HTC Desire 816

Hey Devolopers This is the official htc file manager thread
It was taken from The Android 4.4.3 OTA for HTC One M8 which has been extracted as an APK and can be further installed on any supported Android devices.

Can any Devoloper make it a flashable zip file so it can be installed from a custom recovery to the ROM to be a pre-installed app of the rom so that when we do a hard reset to the device we won't lose it and be a system app?
Don't need help guys , I made a flashable zip file of it so it will be system app (can't be uninstall it even you wiped your data :good: I will upload it soon in the Attached Files

In KitKat, the external SD card is read only. You can't edit it. To change this you have ti be rooted.

File Browser stop unexpectedly
hi mido3366 or anyone else able to help - i'm new at this
I bought a HTC One M8sw off Ebay - it came from China. I can see based on the settings and using Root Checker Basic that it has been rooted and customised and I have SuperSU app showing up. Thus, I have a File manager installed which probably does not come as stock with the mobile? The file manager works fine. Issue is that, when I'm in the stock MAIL app and i try to attach a file by clicking on File or click on Document/PDF or Office Document - I get the following error:

I have gone through all the trouble shooting with HTC including clearing cache and data, rebooting, safe mode for 24 hours, deleting and re-adding email accounts, but still does not work. They have told me now that i need to a factory reset and see if this fixes it ... but i prefer not to do that as I don't want to remove all the amazing customisation which came with the phone.
Can you please let me know if there's anything i could do to fix this issue without going back to a factory reset?
Note: I'm not a techie ... so have limited to any knowledge on how to root, check root etc.

I use chrome and for sites that need's flash player puffin browser.

Well my 816 is not rooted , i dont need it . If your phone is rooted and you restored pre-4.4.x SD Card permissions than root browser(file manager) is able to r/w to sd
