[APP] Gamespot(Asia)

Note:-(This is not an ofiicial app)
GameSpot is a video gaming website that provides news, reviews, previews, downloads, and other information. The site was launched in May 1, 1996 by Pete Deemer, Vince Broady and Jon Epstein. It was purchased by ZDNet, a brand which was later purchased by CNET Networks. CBS Interactive, which purchased CNET Networks in 2008, is the current owner of GameSpot. GameSpot.com is currently one of the 200 highest-trafficked websites according to Alexa.[3]
In addition to the information produced by GameSpot staff, the site also allows users to write their own reviews, blogs, and post on the site's forums. The forums are partially shared with those on GameFAQs, another website owned by CNET.
In 2004, GameSpot won "Best Gaming Website" as chosen by the viewers in Spike TV's second Video Game Award Show,[4] and has won Webby Awards for several years. Other gaming websites such as IGN, 1UP.com, and GameSpy have been its biggest rivals. The domain gamespot.com attracted at least 60 million visitors annually by 2008 according to a Compete.com study.[5]
GameSpot's main page has links to the latest news, reviews, previews, and portals for the following current platforms: Wii, Nintendo DS, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo 3DS. It also includes a list of the most popular games on the site and a search engine for users to track down games of interest. In September 2009, GameSpot started reviewing and cataloging iPhone, Android, and other mobile games. GameSpot also covers the following platforms to a lesser extent: Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Xbox, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Neo Geo Pocket Color, N-Gage, and mobile games, among others.

[GAME] The Colored Path : my first game is on the Google Store

Hi fellow app developers! I'm very excited, as a humble game creator, I'm presenting you my very first game.
I have realized the game all by myself, in only two weeks. It is made in Java, under Eclipse, using the middle-ware LibGDX, and using Inkscape for the graphics. Graphics have been designed to supports the super HD resolution of 2560×1600 of the Nexus 10 tablets ! But it also runs smoothly on lower end devices.
I'd like to hear what you think about it, of course the game itself, if it is fun, if you like the game play, and also the marketing presentation I've made, and hear any advice you can give me.
Go get it ! It's free ! Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!
Don't hesitate to share it with your friends, your children and your parents ! Everyone can play it, everyone will love it :fingers-crossed: !
It is really nice app. I didn't see games like this before.
Hey, just downloaded it now. I like the design, and how fun it is. Good job!
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Color blind mode added ! And 70 new levels
Thank you guys !
My art inspiration for the background was this game : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamegou.ShiftIt.Google
Buttons & hand inspiration are from this game : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zeptolab.monsters.free.google
I have just made an update with a color blind mode and 70 new levels.

Color blindness affects a significant number of people, and it was very interesting to learn about it.
Do you know for example that some people don't see any difference between yellow and green ? we have to think differently about the colors we use when making our apps.
A great software I recommend for 'seeing' as color blind people is Color Oracle.
Happy coding !

drawing work flow

Just sat here adding some colour to a sketch and wondered if l was using the best methodology.
l sketch,
add a layer, draw the base colour
add a layer, add detail
add a layer, add shading / shadows
I adjust the opacity of the layers until I am happy with the result, or give up on the process half way through.
if I'm doing a comic style drawing, l will add a layer to do my ink outline before doing my colouring.
I'm struggling though. I've always been good with pencils and sketching, but I'm struggling to find a colouring technique I'm comfortable and happy with in the digital medium.
what process do you go though to build up a drawing?
http://blog.spoongraphics.co.uk/articles/20-tutorials-for-learning-digital-painting-techniques
Always wanted to be able to draw, and after a few hundred games of Draw Something it just made me want to learn even more, will check out the link and see if i can learn anything
Might take a while before my work shows up on XDA tho
I've had quite a steep learning curve when I got the Galaxy Note 1, two years ago this November. I remember referencing the monochromatic watercolors of Alex Ross' Batman side head profile. It's just copying exactly what you see and matching the values as practice.

And before that, I learned with a bit of frustrations of how is not as detailed as I wanted my first colored illustration of Arya Stark with the Sketchbook Express.
Only 800 by 1280 pixels. I wasn't happy.
I usually mute or tone down the transparency of my initial general guidelines, and a 2nd layer for a final detailed pencil. I lessen the transparency of that again when using the airbrushing technique of the Sketchbook Pro.
I draw inspiration from the top illustrators from DeviantArt.com. Of course they use the real full Photoshop with the pro Wacom digitizer, some going 5k pixel resolutions for high details!
Here's the 40-step process of my wife's front face portrait. 8 hours total.

There are descriptions for each step.
(For the benefit for others would like to learn the techniques)
I need to be doing new ones again. Keep up with this Note digital art forum series. I'll contribute some techniques from time to time. Cheers.

[CLOSED][Q] Promoting game to get 100s of downloads a day

We are a small two man indie team, with a limited advertising budget, we are starting to see 200+ downloads a day, and our doing things a little different with this second game launch then we did with the first but are seeing a rise in downloads.
Our Checklist
- First hit the forums hard, joins threads and provide feedback that is valuable but also put in plugs for your new title.
- To get the ball rolling doing some small limited advertising, we've been using admob, make sure your graphics are eye catching and encompass all the cool elements of your game, this will get the ball rolling.
- In Game: add elements for social media, we've encorporated a share feature that gives away game attributes for a facebook share.
- Make sure to incorporate a ratings dialog
Feedback
So these steps have given us a return of a couple hundred downloads a day, but if anyone else knows tips or tricks please let us know.

[FREE][GAME] Urban Zombie: VR Shooter (Cardboard, Gamepad avaiable)

I would like to present you a game made in 2022 and which I hope will revolutionize the quality of the application for Cardboard VR all over again.
Google Play Store game:
Urban Zombie: VR Shooter
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.UrbanITSupport.UrbanZombieVRSurvivalDemo
The game is developed in the Universal Render Pipeline (URP) technology.
This is a survival shooter game. Enjoy the advancing hordes of zombies, graphics that have been carefully crafted for the best and most accurate Cardboard VR experience. As in the real world, there is no artificial sight, information about the amount of ammunition, zombie location and other facilities to spoil the real VR experience.
You have the opportunity to shoot zombies in the open area of the factory, and to fight hordes in an abandoned building. Older people say this was once a clinic. There was absolutely nothing left of her now. Do you have enough courage to check if there is anything hiding in her basement?
The game has three aiming modes:
- Simple
- First sight (fire + aim key)
- Second sight (aim key)
In future updates, it is planned to add more types of zombies, new types of weapons, exploding elements on the map and other maps to choose.
Recommended for better quality gameplay:
- Cardboard for VR experiences (ex. BOBOVR Z5)
- Gamepad (ex. MOCUTE-050)
One person was working on the game. It was made in URP (Universal Render Pipeline) technology for Virtual Reality gameplay with a gamepad. I would like the game to have a gameplay in which you can choose from a few maps, different weapons, many types of zombies, Survival Defense style, where zombies come from outside, for example, and they get inside through windows that you can repair. If I manage to do the above, I will make the possibility of a 4-person Multiplayer Game. I work alone and I need your support, dear players. If you like the game and its potential, put me some coffe, then I don't fall asleep working late in the evening
Thanks and Regards
Urban
