Ant Radio and plugins can be reinstalled in Google Play, they are free apps to download. I agree, definitely remove if not needed, but why say no to an FM radio!

Thanks for the list Joe. I'm going to have to go through this and make sure I've got all of the bloatware turned off.

Root isn't necessary to freeze/disable apps (freeze and disable are the same commands)
This link here http://galaxys5guide.com/samsung-galaxy-s5-how-to-guides/turn-off-my-magazine-on-galaxy-s5/ explains how to disable the Magazine app from the Applications Settings menu in the phone and this can be done for any system app on the phone.
This was a feature put in place around 4.3(?) because system apps could not be uninstalled without root; only updates could be uninstalled. So they added a disable feature to keep it from running in the background and it removed it from your App Drawer.

Being unrooted, you can only disable only certain apps , not all of them.

Taught me something I didn't know. I went through and looked at a few crucial system apps and noticed "Turn Off" was greyed out on a few of them which I hadn't noticed before.

you can also add smart remote, and internet/ chrome depending on what browser you like, to this list that can be completely removed... never understood why people would remove sprint zone when it is the easiest way to do things on your account. To each their own o guess... great list too as there are a few I missed on my debloating adventures.

If you are mostly stock then you need to download sdfix from the market. It is free. Or you can change the build.prop line yourself to write to sd with a file manager of your choice. Idk the build.prop line but you can google it and it will come up. I hope that is your issue and it helps.

the ANT app is actually usefull
for those of us that like to bike/run/hoke or other physical activity in which we monitor our performance or heart rate, ANT radio is a big part of that.
http://www.thisisant.com/directory/ant-radio-service
Might want to investigate this site before removing completely as it uses hardware already on your phone, after all whats the point in getting the phone with all this stuff in it, if you just not going to use it.

Honestly im not sure I can say without consequence. Sometime after I removed a bunch of these apps, I have had some issues with my phone. the screen blacks out while the buttons work. took it to a sprint store finally and they think its 'software related' but didnt really help beyond that.i am still investigating though as it could have been something else too potentially (but i havent really installed much on this phone to begin with outside of root).
i have rooted my GS5 and installed SuperSU and ConnectBot.
I would like to remove much of this bloatware and the automatic updating of certain apps.
I have no idea how to proceed with uninstalling, any help would be appreciated.
For each phone that comes out, someone typically puts together a list of apps that are safe to freeze or disable... I don't like removing apps, because of the issues with taking future OTA's.
I am stock, unrooted and have no real interest in rooting this phone. I plan to keep it stock, but with Nova Prime and disabling all the junk that we don't really need in the App Manager.
Is there such a list for this phone?
I disabled all the usual suspects, but this phone has a lot of new stuff that I don't recognize...
EDIT: Based on my findings and what others post, I will update the list below of what seems to be fine to disable through the app manager. If I notice anything wonky happening, I will enable it and remove it from the list. There are things on this list that you might want to use, this is just to show you what you CAN safely disable without root or a rom.

Some suggestions for newbees...
Keep the following services running. It's not too likely you'll ever need them - but just in case.
Example: "S Voice". Most users dislike it, it's not very capable. BUT: If you wish to use the "always listening" feature of Google Now (activate by saying "Ok Google" even if Google Now is not running in the foreground of the screen is off), you'll need it because S Voice handles (or better: tries to handle) the voice recognition if the screen is off.
ant radio service (you'll need that if you wish to connect ANT+ enabled sports devices)
ant+ plugin service (same here)
drive (google drive)
galaxy apps (sometimes used for downloading better text-to-speech applications; the stock TTS is a horror)
google+ (COULD interfere with your YouTube experience if removed)
mobileprintsvc_cups (don't know exactly what it does; maybe there's more than just enabling mobile printing)
mobileprintsvc_cups_backend
phase beam
print spooler
s voice
samsung account (sames as with galaxy apps)
samsung link platform (don't know what it exactly does)
samsung link platform connectivity (same here)
samsung print service plugin (same here)
sapa monitor (same here)
tags (same here)
Updated the list in the OP. So far everything is working fine.
Google Now works from the locked lock screen, but it doesn't work with the screen turned off. I guess that is where S-Voice comes in, possibly. But S-Voice is known to create a goof bit of lag on a lot of devices, so I just turn that off as a matter of habit, as Google Now does 99% of what I need. But YMMV.
An Update of removable/freezable apps would be very nice

=== Safe to remove (free up some space) ===
The following list contains app which are safe to remove to free up some space in the rom.
You can gain some hundred megabytes of free space by removing this apps from the system.
Gmail (2 mail apps are unnecessary)
Google+ (how the hell uses G+ anyways)
Google Play Books
Google Play Games
Google Play Kiosk
Google Play Movies
Zinio (some random magazine app)
Amazon Kindle (good reader app, but way to huge for a system app ~100MB)
Omlet Chat
Bbbler Actors for Omlet (comes with latest OTA update)
Flipboard
Facebook (need it? install it as a user app. needs too much space)
Maps (i personally think Google Maps on this device is completely useless)
Street View
Chrome Browser (reinstall as user app if you use it, another app which eats up space in the rom)
EMusic
Contacts (why is this app actually installed?)
Gallery (default image viewer)
MyASUS (classic bloatware app)
RemoteLink
ShareLink
Mirror (uses front camera for a mirror)
WebStorage

=== Safe to disable (remove at your own risk) ===

PlayTo* (never tried this out, maybe to transfer video?)
EnergySaver*

Asus Demo
No issues so far...if they come i'll post it here...
everything works well instead of asus launcher i use go launcher.
as i read the asus demo app installs the flashplayer and removes itself after entering the password no need to do that for me couse i use mxplayer and codecs.
Don't delete Asus launcher If you don't have any launcher installed and currently in use, it'll throw your device in to boot loop.
But Asus Demo is safe to delete.
I have the Lollipop .33 version as far as I tried if any app associated with quick settings is deleted, you can't go to Asus Customize settings and change the apps order anymore.
When you press Quick settings options it'll throw you an "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." error. But apart from that it doesn't effect the system stability.
The .24 doesn't have this problem.
My suggestion is when you have a freshly and fully installed Lollipop .33 and want to delete some apps like Splendid, go to Asus cuatomize settings and change them to your liking first. Then you can safely delete system apps.

Any updates? Even if you share your progress so far would be highly appreciated!
As a general rule, unless you're 100% certain, you shouldn't uninstall system apps you're even remotely unsure about. Your safest bet would be to use an app like Root Uninstaller Pro to "freeze" them and see if any side effects come about on your phone. If so, you can unfreeze them and keep testing what you can and can't disable. LG MLT is something you should definitely get rid of, and apart from the PC/Sync packages you listed there (Which you could remove if you don't intend to use LG PC Suite with your phone) I wouldn't go fully removing any others.
