Hey Guys,
Long time reader and user of these forums but always been something of a lurker when it comes to posting/threads!
Came across a strange one today but when I am trying to login to the Xbox Live/Smartglass app it fails the login saying that "Cookies must be allowed" and that it's my browser that is blocking them. I've gone through the browser settings included with my ROM (Details below) and can't see anything obvious so was wondering if anyone had come across this?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Phone - Rooted and Unlocked
ROM - Paranoid Android 2.99 26012013
Kernel - Faux123 3.4 Mako 005
Cheers,
I have the same problem so any help will be great.

Works fine for me running PA and Matr1x. I installed from the APK though as the N7 wasn't compatible so I already had that.
Did you ever find a solution to this? I am running CMOD9 on LG G2X but have started getting the same error message, whether using apps (e.g. OneNote, OneDrive, etc.) or logging in through the browser... either stock of Dolphin browser.
I have cleared cookies and set both browsers to accept cookies to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated!

Allows you to manage APP installed via the website and have them pushed to your Android devices. Not sure if anyone has looked at it yet.
Im on Bonsai ROM with Market version 2.2.11 and its not working for me. The website finds my Epic but apps don't get pushed to my phone when I click install. Is there a newer version I need?
I havent I'm not by a computer but I'm interested though....
Is it like the app store on itunes?
I'm tired of updating my phone and not having acess to certain apps
This would take all the pain away!

Worked for me, but I'm on stock.
Wasn't that one of the features of Gingerbread? It thought they mentioned that at the Froyo push last year.
They actually first showed this off last year at the Froyo event.
Getting SERVER NOT FOUND error?
I was able to use this today successfully. I remotely installed 3 apps, with absolutely no problems. It recognized all the programs already on my phone.
I'm on Nebula 1.0.7, so stock is not required
I'm on ViperROM 4.0.2c and am able to use it. The thing I like the most about it is that it has kept track of all the applications I've installed (which isn't the case when I flash my ROM). So I can reinstall the APPs throught he market. (yes the market keeps track of my purchased APPs, just not the rest of them via the phone.
It also makes installing the same APPs to multiple devices at the same time via the same Google account very easy.
I am on Quantom 2.7 and the website just doesn't see my phone at all. Wonderful.
are you guys just going to market.google.com??? I can't get to it from my computers.

Google the term "market"
Thank you.
And for anyone else reading this, the correct website is:
https://market.android.com/
I'm running Nebula and when I go to the web market, all of my apps that I've downloaded are there, but it won't recognize my epic. Anyone else found a fix for this?
Works on the current nightly of Cyanogenmod 6.
Shows the list of currently installed applications, and the instant I told it to add Angry Birds (not that I'm interested) my phone began the download.
Awesome.
Combined with the way all apps reinstall after a new flash, I should not need to use the crappy on-phone application again!

Well, I just flashed to a new ROM and am now once again having trouble with the sync.
My market.android.com list shows like 20+ applications, but Bonsai ROM downloaded 2 and acts like it is done. I'm going to have to go down the list and search for each of them now. Or maybe I'll try the same from market.android.com
EDIT it's working, but the list of installed apps on the phone's Market won't even update...
Time to say "goodbye" to appbrain. Finally.
Oh nice
Thanks for the tip. I was able to use my computer to browse the market and it was able to see my installed apps ok. I am running stock DI18.
Darkk
Says no phone associated with my account even though I can see my market history. I'll chalk it up ito being a new service and not fully up and running yet.
While chatting in IRC "cos" brings this to our/ my attention, that it seems like location based apps are now missing and deemed incompatible with the Adam.
Well this seems to be new in the last week, maybe even since the weekend.
I had several apps installed on my Adam from the market; dolphin browser HD and mini, as well as Locus Free, firefox, google maps, gps status and many others are now missing and grey'd out as incompatible with the Adam through the online android market.
Anyone else notice this?

They show for me but I'm running the CM7 ROM.
still there for me on Beast
I am on stock beta, used the market + root + adhoc hack.
Guessing a build.prop edit is at hand, anyone have any suggestions?
Might have to take a look at what's on other roms ie beast that have it working still.
-CC
EDIT: just to test I flashed vegan 04042011, as others have claimed to not having this issue with that rom. And same issue, shows up in market account, when looking for gps status or dolphin browser hd, they show grey'd out as incompatible..
I thought perhaps something to do with activating AT&T, I used market enabler to switch carrier to Tmobile, same results.
Found something else, my market updates itself to version 2.3.4 or 2.3.6, vegan came with 2.2.11.. Is there a way to stop it from auto-updating?
EDIT2: Flashed Beast 2.1.4 rom and it's market version 2.3.4 and the apps missing or incompatible with the previously listed roms do show..
I had the same issue on Utopia Beta 2 and VEGAn 04042011, but it showed most if not all the apps on Beast 2.1.4.
Rothnic mentioned it may have something to do with permissions, the issue with market not showing location based apps, Dougie187 suggested I copy Beast rom permissions, since it does work and put them on my stock adam.
So that's what I did and it works!
-CC
I've got the same issue, can't find maps, dolphin browser HD or any other gps based app on the market. I've got the stock rom with root+market, can you tell me please how to solve the problem??? I don't know where to find the permissions you're talking about nor how to put them on the adam.
Please I really need help.
Many Thanks
Utopia
Working fine on root+Utopia rom
hi CC, same issue with me. .please elaborate. the process to transfer permissions on my Adam running Eden's 2.4

EdenX should not have this issue, as it includes much more than just the standard root+market hack.
I would ask the dev of that rom directly in their thread.

Try this:
Settings — Applications — Manage Applications
Choose All
Choose Market
Force Stop
Back out, choose Google Service Framework
Force Stop
Clear Data
Back out to the homescreen, run the Market (it should fail – that’s what we want)
Reboot
Wait at least one minute after the system boots up, then retry the Market.

Hello!
New Market on motorola Xoom Wi-fi every time I want to upgrade giving me FC. I don't know how to fix it. Tried to delete upgrade install on the Application but it is upgrading by itself. Tried to clear the cash, clear data.
Nothing helps.
Please, who know how to fix this problem? Looks like new Market doesn't work on Honeycomb.
Guys, help me, please? I really need your advice?
Thank you!
What market version do you have?
Sent from my Xoom using xda premium
If you have Documents to Go installed, remove it. It has a problem with the manifest and Dataviz needs to update it, you can use the version from their website in the interim.
Or grab today's free Amazon Apps, Quick Office and Quick Office HD.
Tried everything. Market. 3.1.6, market 3.3.1.1 or something like that, all of them giving me fc.
Guys, please, I need a solution. Can somebody give some advice, please? Or maybe somebody have old mafket app flashable trough cwm? Because google doing nothing for honeycomb.
Sent from my Xoom using xda premium
The problem is almost certainly related to an installed app, if you don't have Documents to Go installed, started removing apps one at a time until the market begins working properly and report back when you identify the offending app.
I had a thread for the same thing a page or so back.
documents to go didnt seem to cause me much grief (but i removed it anyway), but i did have a problem with Enhanced Email FCing the market (which i also ended up removing on the xoom, working fine on the desire).
noticed my market updated itself to 3.3.1.1 (or similar) the other night too - same problems as the last version.
just waiting for ICS update now and will see if that fixes stuff - I imagine it will and/or devs will update their apps to ICS
Do you have apps that you side loaded that the market reported as not compatible? I get the market FC any time one of my side loaded apps tries to update.
I found that it was a certain alternative market that caused me to "loose" all of my apps... I thought that it was the new market and even went back to the moray 2.2.1 to have the old market.
I figured out it was that other market because I uninstalled it and bingo, I had my apps...
I was pretty stupid and used titanium backup to "force" the market links and ended up with one heck of a messed up android market.... Now I am working through that..
Uninstalled the app called "Download all files" and sims like everything working for now.
Thank you very much!

actually i think i had getjar on there... that's missing from the supermarché now - I wonder if that was the issue
i was also guessing that by the time ICS hits the xoom - and all the devs update their apps for that most of this issue should go away
FWIW, I had the exact same problem I uninstalled Enhanced Email and the problem went away. Too bad, I really like Enhanced Email!

Maybe theres something wrong with my install...but that wouldnt affect just one app...so i guess it might be something with my twitter account
Tweeter fine here using tweetcaster

Official app worls perfectly for me.
I can't login to Twitter using any apps either, and I've tried the official one, Tweet Caster, and Twicca. I'll check my settings later and see if there's something blocking the apps.

Do you also havr CM7 flashed?
Not sure if related but my friend from the UK told me he was having the same problem trying to log in to the regular site from his PC for the past few days. But if he sends a ping request it goes through just fine.
I was having issues as well, so I just uninstalled it. Haven't tried it again since then, but maybe I will try to official app, as the last one was the gowidget twitter app.

Yes I do.
I've looked through Twitter's settings on the PC and I can't find anything that may be blocking it from allowing my Kindle Fire. All apps are listed as granted access. Also my Nexus S 4G connects to Twitter using any app just fine.
But funny enough, I now remember that when I installed Swiftkey Tablet X on my Kindle Fire, it couldn't connect to Twitter to "learn" from my Tweets. Weird...
No problems using plume but my fire is stock.

My twitter id is Rickywilson, I noticed instead of my pic and twitter info my phone shows the lead singer of the Kaiser Chiefs stuff. He is Ricky Wilson as well but his id is rickontour.
Apparently whatever cm7 uses for twitter will not use my account only his. its driving me nuts because my contact info shows his pic and tweets.
its mainly on my texts and other apps, whatever he puts up it changes my phone stuff. its all very confusing.
STILL can't use the Twitter app on CM7. What gives?
When I was using Twitter on CM7, I didn't have any problems.

I haven't been able to use the app since i flashed cm7.
First few days after flashing cm7 I was not able to sign in but one day out of the blue it worked. Still cant get other apps that use Twitter like channel caster to authenticate with Twitter, tells me either my user name or password does not match their records.

I've had CM7 for almost a month. I've uninstlled and reinstalled the app multiple times. I still get the msg "there was a error druing sign in, please try again later" or something to that effect
Has someone found a way to solve the problem with the Twitter app not working in CM7?
I haven't been able to use it, since I flashed CM7, but by looking at this thread, it seems to be a random issue; but has anyone solved this problem?
Are there any folks out there using this launcher with their Nexus? I've got it on my Motorola Electrify where it's really quite stunning with some of it's effects. On my Nexus, there are some problems. Why do I get problems d/l certain "Next" apps from the market? Specifically, I cannot install the calendar or music widgets. I cannot install the "Tunnel" live wallpaper or many of the available themes. I get a "your device is not compatible" error message. Seems very strange that this should happen.
I'm running 4.2.2 with AKOP buttered Manta aroma 2.2 rom. However, I get same error messages with any of the roms I've tried, even "stock". Still, this is so weird to me, that I wonder if it has to do with some issue I've created on my device that results in the error, or is it an issue with Next Launcher? I'm not able to find much in the way of a board or forum dealing with Next Launcher to explore this much further. The developers (the "Go Team") don't provide a forum either.
I haven't run into any such limitations with other launchers I've messed with (Holo, Apex).
Still, is it me or is it them?
Anyone see any reason I should/could be getting the error?
Anyone out there using Nexus with Next Launcher?

I tried it for a few minutes...It's fun and all.. runs fine on both my manta and my maguro, but as I suspected, I'm more into minimalistic stuff than lot's of eye candy.
As for "your device is not compatible" message on the Play Store..That's not uncommon.
Let me enumerate on some of the reasons:
- tablet/phone (the devs got to fix this one)
- region/country (either get a plane ticket to a supported country or cheat the Play Store)
- Android API (in our case, it shouldn't be a problem for at least 3 or 4 years, including community efforts)
