This rom is not working/booting yet.
Hey guys,
Me and CallMeVentus want to make an ICS AOSP ROM.
(We know there is JB now but let's start basic shall we?)
Though it may not be any different than CM9 it does have some differences , like the GNexus firmware .
Anyone else interested ?

Good, hoping the performance will be better than cm9 since it is not gonna have all the applications and actions that cm9 has.
I can join as a tester
So now the rom can boot? :/

This is the logcat from a earlier version, though very little has changed. Kernel is still being a beech.

and you probably need to fix the references to the kernel and it's version

No. Kernel have nothing to do with that error. It's probably because of incompatible libaudio.
BTW. Good luck with project...
we got RC2 now as nightly
whats new?
RC2 includes bugfixes and updated translations and continues our path to a final release of CyanogenMod 9, which should be just around the corner.
As always, if you enjoy our work, please consider dropping a couple of bucks our way using the link at the bottom of the page. While we are on a mission to open up all of these devices to the world, we need to buy them first!
You can get the latest release candidate for your device from
grab it from; http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get/jenkins/4627/cm-9.0.0-RC2-galaxys2.zip
or check; http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=galaxys2

Might wanna add this to the first post . CM9 RC2 Blog
Thanks for the news, have you test it ?

No thread wasnt really needed
Great news! Looking forward to the stable release...
Why make a thread ? Anyone who uses CM9 reads the discussion thread (or at least they should), and anyone else probably doesn't need to know about this.

is it going to work with siyah kernel 3.3.3d?
The real CM9 user don't care about labels. It's been a long time since I was able to call CM9 stable. But yeah, useless thread, we already have a thread to discuss it.

Yes. but don't ask for support if something goes wrong.
Works great from now
this is news, and news are good to be shared, people came here everyday to look for something new, if mod wants to remove/lock the thread its up to moderator. i can't change the fact that its moderators choise to lock or not lock this thread
I can confirm that it works perfectly fine with siyah kernel 3.3.3d

If I flash this, do I need to do a full wipe? Or just dalvik cache? Literally flashed CM9 last night, and now RC2 out LOL.

No, you don't. Just flash the update and reboot. It wipes cache and dalvick, which will rebuild automatically on reboot, but your data is untouched. Easy as pie.
I have a couple of atrix 4gs and I have some experience with writing windows drivers fwiw. I would like to help out in development, but I'm not sure where to start. Ive noticed there are some 4.+ roms but they all have driver issues. Are the atrix 4.0 drivers from moto in a repo like github?
Thanks
Nick

a little bit of googling and i found the answer.

Well...Im no dev but I think the atrix need a 3.+ kernel port...and there is no sources for that...the great devs we have are working on LG sources rigth now...

Yes...I know...but has a lot of bugs and the battery life it terrible....
I think its better to get a new kernel with sources than drivers...but its what I think.
Right now the devs are working on it...so let hope for it!...
Cheers! :good:
Linux 3.0 kernel is just 2.6.40 renumbered to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Linux. Epinter, I believe it was, said before there is not much difference between them.
Please contact mvniekerk and join him in the kernel port.

Firstly, this isn't the right section for this kind of topics, someone should move it!
Secondly, who said that CM10 isn't working? There are some booting builds from ErwinP in this thread, lookup at the last posts, but its still in developing process and much things aren't working good or at all, the biggest of which is the WiFi. This video is just showing one of Erwin's builds

Hi,
believe it or not, I am using cm 10 as my daily driver.
Compiled from source using ErwinP's repo as a starting point. I would like to post my builds and reply in the dev section, however, since I am new here, I need to have some posts first...
Cheers, bennii.

I also like miui. Best of luck for your rom develop soon
So here you go what I have done till now!
Firstly i build a full ota fixing all issue's! Then tested rom
it booted but non of the sims nor wifi was working
secondly i fixed all smali releated to RIL the rom is not
booting the logcat says the jar is stale or corrupted! So
now fixing jars one by one android.policy has been fixed
need to test it! If it works I will fix other jar if it didn't then
have to see the main problem! So whoever is best in smali
please inbox me so that we can get miui asap!
Thankful
