How come the google play app does not show my paid for apps anymore? i used to be able to click my apps inside the play store app, and it would show everything i have currently downloaded and underneath it would show a list of apps i have paid for. Why doesnt that show anymore? i hate having to look for every single app ive paid for. Is it hidden or did they take this away??
Its been like this for 4-5 months now. Yeah its annoying. Maybe there will be an update to bring it back in the near future.

Go to your app drawer, menu, manage apps, all apps, Google play and clear data.

Sweet ! Also for you ladies and gents that don't know they brought it back But looks like it's only from within the device Play Store App, just touch the little circle with the line through it and its gone from your list of apps!
Removed 50 delinquent app's or so from mine!
Sorry if this is recent common knowledge I just was asking awhile ago and was told that this doesn't exist!
What are you talking about?

It was implemented in the last update of play store...

I'm guessing clicking "remove" will remove that app from whatever device it's on??

No! click that option and it never shows up in your Play Store history again, unless you install it again.
Each time you install an app or install a custom ROM with the ROM creators apps of choice it adds those apps to your play store list of app's! and they don't go away, and if you change ROMs and or try an app your list grows and grows whether you use the app or not it was always there in your list now you can clean those unused apps or unwanted apps out of your list so if you try a lot of ROMs you don't have to weed through all those app's!
I have 12 App's that I install and use, but 50 that I've tried and came on ROMs that I've tried now I have only 12 app's in my Play Store app history instead of 62 apps!
It is a list of apps that you have or had installed, so when you start from a new rom or a full wipe you can go to play store and look at the list to see which app you had installed earlier

Sweet! I already was wondering what to do with the large amount of garbage of previously tested and disgarded apps I would not like to be reminded of again... This is exactly what I needed.
Thanks for telling this. +1 Thanks from me!

I know what it is and can be useful for but when I have to look at all the free versions of stuff iv'e tried then purchased the full app for example XDA-Developers free app and XDA Premium oh great now I got to buy XDA PremiumHD.....lol, all in my list but I only want 1, now I do!
I wasn't aware of this functionality until this thread, so thanks! Now I have removed all those 'old' and 'trial' installs cluttering up my installed list!
is it likely Iwill run into any issues if i use both play store apps and amazon apps? noticed the other day amazon wanted to update an app i got from play.. or maybe it was the other way round!
Sent from my KFTT using xda app-developers app
You won't run into any problems. If the Google Play store wants to update one of your Amazon apps... do it! It gets updates weeks ahead of Amazon and is generally the better store. It'll also allow all your newly converted Google apps (aka update via Play) to update automatically... something Amazon lacks. Just don't allow the Amazon store to update via Play. The Play version is slower...
ah ok. i have disabled any automatic updates through amazon app store. amazon still wants to update netflix and skype. may remove the amazon stuff. only thing i will miss is the free daily app.
also noticed that go store wants to update my tvchatup app and the rootcheckbasic app..
Sent from my KFTT using xda app-developers app
You could just keep both. I use mostly the Play store with Amazon being used for the occasional free daily app. As I mentioned before, it's generally best to let your apps update through Google Play.
ok thanks, will do. keep turning amazon app updates and use play

OK. I have a weird issue. We just brought my wife's galaxy s4 home and I was helping her set it up. She is coming from an iPhone 4 so its a little overwhelming for her. Ha. But anyway. I can't figure out why the play store won't show updates for the preinstalled apps. Like talk wasn't shown to update to hangouts. And Google now didn't show an update in the play store app but when you open the app it asked for an update. Here a couple screenshots of what I ,mean.

Wife? Girlfruend? Geezus o_o which one is which? Haha
Anyway, that's nothing to worry about an update will come over eventually

Hahaha. Wow. We got married last year. I haven't called her girlfriend in forever. Woops. Ha.
Anyway. I just didn't know why they didn't show up on the my apps list at all. None of the preinstalled apps show up. So almost all of the Google apps say they need an update if I search for them but when I look at the my apps they aren't even listed. Weird. None of my other android devices did this before. Oh well. I just wasn't sure if it was a setting in the s4 somewhere that I was missing.

Maybe the apps you have installed were backups? I experienced that before.. I made a backup (titanium) then batch installed it with the new rom, it didn't show any updates in the Playstore but it was listed "installed" in the All Apps tab. I didn't bother to confuse myself anymore )
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
I'm getting a similar issue, playstore only notifies updates after phone is rebooted, not shure why this is happening =/
Maybe try using the market doctor feature in TitaniumBackup?
Yup. After reboot everything worked. I think it was just taking time because it was a new google account. No titainium restore. She came from an iphone 4.

Hi.
If I for God's sake try to install an app, then decide to uinstall it after knowing that it was just another junkie app, Google will continue recommending similar junkie **** apps to me in play sore home page.
How can I remove recommended apps from play store home page?
Alternatively change home page to e.g top apps?
Thanks

dont think you can
Go to my apps > choose ALL then hit the X to remove the app from your previous install list. It'll remove from recommended after.

Hey guys. Is this normal for me to have multiple apps?
Sent from my SGH-I337M using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I haven't seen that before. But they are different versions so it's possible. I'd freeze the older version and see if you run into problems
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
that is *kind-of* normal.
All pre-installed apps are installed in "system/apps" folder and cannot be removed unless rooted. Then all updates are stored in the "data/apps" folder along with all user installed apps. This is done so normal users "not-rooted" can delete all their installed apps and updates to get back "stock".
Most apps that list your installed apps, like titanium backup, or the "system settings > applications" normally take this into account and only show you one version. What-ever crap program you took a screenshot of, obviously does not take that into account and is confusing you. I see "safe2remove" beside many of the items in that screenshot, I do not recogize that application you are using. Just some garbage app as far as I am concerned now.
do not freeze either version
I'm looking at system cleanup
Sent from my SGH-I337M using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
You can delete the older version, but you have to remove the app manually or you'll need to reinstall. Look at the YouTube app in the attached pics. Also, system cleanup is a great app.
