Hello all,
happy to discover you.
I have recently acquired a HTC_HD2 from a friend who hadn't changed anything at it's formal operating system win.mobile 6.5 I think it is called.
after a lot of studing and effort, I did make it dual bootable, between wp7.8, (from this link I took the rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=953078&page=327) and android jellybean_nexusHD2 installed to the microsd. (
android seems to working fine .
unfortunately, in wp7.8 when I plug in a 3.5mm headset, although I can hear the call , the other line cannot hear me at all. checked with two different headsets, no luck at all.
to make matters worse, my bluetooth headset won't get connected to the phone at all.
I think yesterday I managed for a moment to connect it, but I am not so sure, why can't I do it again today?
in long calls, I don't want to keep my phone stuck to my head. or while driving, I want to use only bluetooth (if no mobile at all).
anyway, has any other experienced same problems? any solution probable? in case of an updated rom od wp7.8 any case to get notification in my HTC_HD2 automatically?
this rom is the only one I found with functional nokia_drive (very important to me) and other useful apps preinstalled.
also, I doubt if I could manage again to make my phone dual-booting with andorid succesfully, since I tried like a 100 times to do succesfully the necessary partitions after installing wp7.8 each time I failed.
thanks in advance for any opinions/answers.
the thing is, I prefer wp7.8 over android but I am imagining I will stay with andorid jellybean since it is 100% functional until now.
Ps. sorry if I put my thread to a wrong region, beginner, be sympathetic.

Hello.
Before you tell me... I already searched the forum and I can see many posts about the problems with BlueTooth in the Hero based ROM's, but none of these posts I read (I could have missed some, of course) say what the problems are exactly, so I don't know if it can be a problem for me or not.
The only things that I need from BT are connection to the Parrot CK3000 handsfree on my car, and to send/receive files over BT. Ocassionally I will use the Magic as a 3G modem, but I can do it through USB if not working through BT.
Are these BT features affected by these BT problems on Hero based ROM's?
Thanks in advance.
Not sure if this applies to all hero roms but in the 'jacxheroskiv' rom the problem is a missing shared object (just a missing file in the filesystem)

Hi There
At the moment Bluetooth is problematic on all hero roms for the sapphire or otherwise. Audio head sets (wireless headphones) seem to work ok but everything else doesn't. So unfortunately your car kit won't work. (I have the same one, it pairs but the audio is garbled) File sharing on the other hand is a problem for all the androids so far (There is an app on the market that provides the functionality but it's not as elegant as it could be) so don't expect that to work on hero roms. I haven't tried Bluetooth tethering because WiFi tether works so well. Perhaps someone else could comment.
Now for the difficult part...
So far as I can tell a willing developer, correct me if I'm wrong, could make the Bluetooth work if the source code for the hero was made available (should be available in a few months if the recent release of the sapphires source code is anything to go by) There seem to be quite a number of people who need this functionality so I'm sure one of the rom cookers will get to it but unfortunately there is no way to know exactly when. For this reason I've decided to stick to the ion roms for now. In any event, Touchflo/Sense UI will be made officially available for the magics in due course...for a price of course
On another note any support financial or otherwise is greatly appreciated by the developers so if you want to encourage a particular functionality a few bucks and a friendly message will go a long way. Please remember though that the developers do this kind of thing for the love of it and provide no explicit support for their roms. Any and all risk is taken upon yourself but in most cases caveats will have been picked up by someone before hand.
Sorry if I've mentioned some things you already knew but I thought to add some info applicable to other newcomers.
Enjoy hacking!!
Thanks both.
I guess I'll have to use a non-Hero ROM then. As for the BT file transfer, I've seen at least one Cupcake ROM with it enabled and available as an option in the BT menu. I don't know what ROM it was though, I think I saw it in a Youtube video.
P.S.: I noticed that this thread was moved to "Sapphire general", sorry for put it in "development", I did it for it was related to Hero ROM's. Thanks mods for move it.
A2DP works for my Sony Ericsson HBH-DS205 - music streams flawlessly.
However, the call feature does not work - is this another common bluetooth problem with the HEROs?
Hi all, I have a wildfire and i have noticed a little problem.I have always had a WM ( upgrade my devices every year) and Android Phone.
I have noticed with android the bluetooth connection issue does not have the option to leave the device "discoverable" all the times ( unlike WM devices).
This was not much of a problem with the 1.5 ( htc hero), when it was paired with my bluetooth stereo everytime the phone rang it would connect to the headunit and work very well. I was actually impressed as it would save on my much needed battery. And work very well interms on hands free in the car.
The phone i have now is a htc wildfire, the phone will ring and when i pick up it remains on the internal speaker and does not "search" for the default hands free.
My device is not rooted, currently running the oem unlocked unbraded rom.
I have a few questions but done know where to place them?
Is there a way round?Does anyone know of a fix?
Who actually makes the rom?
Can they not program the device to have the always on feature?
Is it possible to extract the bluetooth program/app from the 1.5 and port it to the 2.1?
Thank you in advance.
Ayub
I have a HD2 Running stock build ROM but with CHT 2.0 and it's an awesome phone, love the fact that it is so customisable and despite WinMo 6.5 being discontinued it lives on with huge amounts of effort being poured into developing and porting....I am seriously considering flashing a NAND android ROM onto it instead of WinMo but have one BIG Problem!
Whilst trawling the threads ( and reading a million ' thanx' posts) well deserved I might add, I cannot find any comment or info anywhere as to whether flashing the HD2 to Android retains or removes the phones SAP/RSAP connectivity I have a 2010 VAG car and it uses the RSAP protocol and to be honest it is THE best handsfree in car solution I have ever used, ( and I have used most of them) very clear with great signal retention, as I use it for business I am loathe to lose it so you can all probably see my dilemma.....great OS or great handsfree.........anyone know the answer....it would be great if it does as R/SAP support is lacking on Android.......bar a website stating RSAP for android .....coming soon....HELP!!!!

Im not too sure about the specific SAP/RSAP, but using my bt widget to my trucks bt stereo works great.
Thanks for your reply but BT is different than RSAP, its a specific VAG Group, BMW and Mercedes type of Hands free, works brilliantly but the compatibility of the latest phones is none existant other than Nokia.....that's not a direction I want to be going in as from my experience Nokias are shocking quality in the software department.
Can no one offer any advice on this, the rSAP problem with decent compatible phones is a HUGE problem across europe, covering VW, Audi, Skoda, Seat, BMW And Mercedes, there are loads of people looking for an answer to this?
Thanks in advance......
Cant think of a way of saying this without sounding like im being funny and i really dont mean to be but why dont you just flash a rom and try it and if it dont work flash back to winmo you can back up before you flash. Or try an SD version. (Dont mean to sound sarcastic)

[Q] rSAP & Android @HD2
Hello @ all
Excuse my bad English.
can someone help me install these files/app in to a SD Build?
w w w . android-rsap.com/installation.html
--> Step 1: Installing System Files
Thanks in advance
-----> the solution!!!
- rename original /system/lib/libhtc_ril.so to /system/lib/libhtc_ril.orig.so
- extract libhtc_ril.new.so from rsap-install.zip and copy to /system/libhtc_ril.so
alltho this thread is already a little old I still wanted to state, that the rSAP server developed by android-rsap.com is now fully working on the HD2 with only a few devices acting weird.I had it running on a MIUI build.
my problem tho is, that after flashing back to WinMo (stock or Duttys, doesn't make a difference) the rSAP function doesn't work with the VAG Premium any longer-it never connects, or if it does with a trick, it fails soon after.sometimes it freezes the hd2, sometimes it even freezes the premium...
re-flashing, task 29, mtty all didn't help. be warned people.it can seriously mess with your phone.
Did you try to flash back to stock? I have the same problem
My RCD510 didn't find my HD2. All other bluetooth devices around my were found
As I said, I tried everything but the car never connected properly to the HD2 again ever since using this rsap app. It must have left some weird connection settings in the car unit. I wanted to do a reset on that unit to test but I never managed. Now the car is sold and this thread obsolete until someone else comes up with this. Subject finished.

So, I have been looking on the forum for 3 days know commenting on all forums with questions regarding BT. Now I do know that BT on WP7 does not allow to transfer files. I also know that Headsets are able to connect, however.... my phones does not allow it for some reason.
Like the title says I really need Handsfree for my daily life.
My phone does not find my headset, it just keeps searching. I kept it next to each other for 1 hour.... after a hour still searching...
I know Bluetooth is on the Update list when it comes to the next step in cracking WP7, but allot of you guys use BT with a headset, any other have this problem? How do you fix this problem?
I heard it might have something to do with the Radio, that correct?
Please guys help me out!
I'm using a Parrot carkit on BT and that works just fine. The Parrot (that's nothing more than a headset) shows up in my BT devices and I can make the connection. I'm using the 'default' DFT WP7. Exept from a terrible battery usage, WP7 works magic !
I use sony ericsson bluetooth HBH IV835. Never been any problem at all.

I have the same problem. One guy said that his bluetooth started working when he flashed the Moon Light Rom, I flashed it and it still did not work for me. I use magldr 1.3 and the 1.12.50 radio. I am now back on the original DFT Rom.
I've run WP7 for only a day and managed to connect it to my Nokia CK7. I took much longer than normal to pair but it worked in the end. Whilst this doesn't really help at least you know it is possible to achieve.
The primary reason taken WP7 off my phone is that I NEED my database apps (currently Handbase) plus the traffic data from google maps.
For the brief period I was using WP7 I was really impressed but for some reason I never managed to dual boot it with Android as I kept loosing the Android partition. I certain this was my fault but having spent more than two hours reformatting the SD card as per the tutorials on here I gave up and flashed back to 6.5/Android.
Hello everybody, i am french and i think my English is quite bad but .....
I have a HTC HD MINI
I have tried to install cyanogene android but after i reinstall windows mobile 6.5, GPS dont fix anything. I have tried a lot of things, like hard reset, modifications of parameters (COM 0.....7 anf 4800 ....57600....) but nothing. TOMTOM 7 told me 'are u in a batilment.?".
I am so disappointed !!!!!
Do u have any suggestion??
Thanks
You have to install Android again, go to options, activate the GPS and then install Windows again.
Did you Download (upgrade) satellites position in windows mobile??!!
Every 7 days you should do this for better calibration!!
GPS Problem
Hi friends.
My friend has a HD mini (he bought it in 14 days before) and he has a same problem with gps.
the device is old (used- second hand) (sry for bad english). and when bought it, rapidly he installed nand!!!
now, he came back too windows and he sees the GPS nothing work. he didn't test it before installing nand.
I did every thing what I knew about GPS problems may appear after coming back to windows. (like, turn on GPS options in android and come back to win) but its GPS don't work.
Has been GPS corrupted?

Hi Morty.
If I understand correctly ....
I do not think GPS is Dead. Only believe, is blocked. I noticed that there are some releases Android ROMs, which block the GPS.
Some evidence of mini hd and hd2 I have demonstrated this.
The only advice I can give you (what I have written in other threads) is to go back to WM6.5. From here to try some release Android sd (I forget which I used on hd mini) obviously do not install the one you have already tried. I hope I was clear and helpful.
Best regards.

Hi, especial thanks to M O R T Y , this post is about me, I want to add these two point: first that I used the exactly version which the former owner used before (Update cm 7.2.0 RC0 photonic KANG signed) and second that in W.M 6.5 the icon that shows GPS is activated , is shown while my device not only isn't able to orientate me but it can't download updates correctly as well, it starts downloading till download bar becomes 100% and then this message appears :
<<Data Activitation failed
Location setting must be on so that downloading satellites can be used to speed up GPS startup time >>
of course now I am using SAVVAS.
sorry for my poor English.
thanks a lot
mine not working either
I flashed HD Mini to CM2.7, GPS and Wi-Fi are not working. It seems to be that the driver can't be loaded correctly.
1. reinstall CM and go to settings > location, and check "use GPS satellites" and turn off phone
2. restart in bootloader volume down + power and reinstall WM
Starting Android from SD Card and turning on GPS there should work too. So you dont need to flash it again.
