Dear friends,
I've recently flashed a rom into a XT321 to root it. It's now rooted but I lost both IMEIs (it's dual chip).
I've already tried softwares and tutorials to recover them... no go. The original ROM has been reflashed already and the IMEIs aren't back.
Got any clue?
... just to test one more option I flashed the latest official retail rom available ... it ... worked

Hello everyone i recently installed an custom rom on my note 3 SM-n900,the rom is called vm 14 is like a porting to Galaxy S5 setting with the new touchwiz, but the problem is that i got bored using this rom and when i tried to get back to stock rom from samsung it changes my imei to null/null.
So i tried to revert to custom rom once again and it works.Imei is stable not errors at all.
Any help how to revert to stock rom and to fix my imei ?
Thanks in advance.
It's known issue after VN ROM V14/14.1
Read this, perticularly post #2
In short - If you have flashed VN14/14.1 ever
1.Everytime you flash any other ROM you have to flash NE1 modem otherwise you won't have IMEI
OR
2.If you have any EFS backup made prior to flashing VN 14/14.1, just restore it and you are again free to flash any other ROM without loosing IMEI
Hi guys,
I was given a phone to use after I broke my own phone, but the problem is that its SIM locked to Vodafone IE.
When I got the phone, it was on 4.3. After following the SIM unlock guides, I kept running into problems because some menu items are missing. Specifically "[3]PERSO SHA256 OFF".
I did some Googling and saw a mention of the fact that the newer modem in 4.3 has these options removed. So this led me to try downgrade the ROM. The first thing I did here was TWRP/root/custom ROM, thinking that there might be some added options in a custom ROM. However, the ROM i Chose (Albe95 LolliROM) uses the hard menu button to display running tasks, so I couldnt perform the steps in the SIM Unlock guide. Then I tried other ROMs and an old CyanogenMod 4.2.2 ROM, but I didnt have any success. After more research, I found that the biggest mistake people make is not downgrading the modem. Now, I thought this wasn't possible once you go above a certain level, eg 4.3.
After more Googling, I found a link to an old modem, but the link gave me a 404!
I spent a lot of time on this, and just want the SIM unlocked, so figured I'd just ask the experts here.
So, can anyone just link me to the correct modem version for 4.2.2 and maybe a ROM that is compatible with the guide I linked earlier?
Once unlocked, I'll flash a new ROM so I'm on Lollipop again.
Thanks.
If the 9505 is like the 337m, the free unlock method only works when running a stock Samsung dialler. CM and aosp ROMs do not use a Samsung dialler so don't bother using a custom rom to try and sim unlock the phone. If you buy an unlock code, you will need to be running a stock Samsung dialler in order to enter the unlock code.

You need to read the last pages of that thread. All you need to do is in there.
1. Be on a stock rom.
2. Downgrade modem.
3. Unlock sim.
4. Upgrade modem.
OK Thanks,
I managed to unlock!
I installed a stock ROM, downgraded modem to XXUAME2, did the unlock steps, and it worked fine.
I've flashed a custom ROM now and updated the modem to the latest so its all good now!
Cheers.
I've flashed 139-63 stock rom and after that, fingerprint and both sim's are not detected by the OS. No network (wifi works), no fingerprint.
Tried many roms, still no luck. Is there any one who experienced this problem and fixed it? Please help me. :crying:
Likely need to flash ROM/firmware specific to your model number. Maybe someone here can post it if you provide model

XT1643. Tried every firmware available on internet. No luck.
I have sent my phone to the service center after relocking bootloader. They are trying for a board replacement. I don't what happened to the phone. There was no problem when flashed the firmware for 2-3 times. Suddenly something went wrong. Kindly let me know when you get a fix for it.

This is correct Rom for Indian Varient XT1643, I got my everything working.
Downloaded firmware, flashed using mfastboot, still no luck. Fingerprint is absent from the setup wizard and in the OS, and one IMEI is available. Not both.
Have you faced this issue?

#sorry for bad English
What baseband are you running on your device? Is it ending in 62.02R (Nougat) or .74R (Oreo)?
That bug seems to have been reported with the soak test that has been leaked.

I'll share my theory. As we flash the modified twrp version which only contains the system and boot partition.
Some how is braking the dual sim function. Somebody posted that installing the locked bootloader version hasn´t that issue I believe because it flashes the baseband oreo version too.
Maybe flashing clean stock & complete Nougat would fix this. I´m only guessing
Then you can Flash TWRP and any custom rom.
