Sound cracking during a call - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
Just got my nexus 4 three days ago and noticed today that calls at max volume (using hear speaker) crackles a bit when the other caller talks at loud volume... I've read about the crackling problem which seems to be always there not just during a call..
I've tested the call to an operator number against a galaxy s2 at full volume and it doesn't crackle like the nexus 4 but the actual volume is not as high as the nexus 4..
Have you noticed this problem too or should I send it to RMA?

I've been using +11 for the past 6 months.
Not really surprising, when you overdrive the internal speaker.
I've been using +10 forever. Guess it just depends on your device.
Must be depending on phone.but be careful guys.6 is quite loud and I am happy.

if i set it too high occasionally the volume will suddenly go extremely low. (ie: if i set it at 20, sometimes it'll sound like its set at -20...) especially annoying when i cant hear an incoming call.
happens if i set it too high, so i've left it at 6 for a while now and all seems well

I've always had it on +4. Anything higher and the sound starts skipping and getting distorted.

Speaker too loud

Hey guys, I received my new Note 3 today and it's absolutely amazing. I have a small issue with it, and that is the speaker, it's really loud. Even with the lowest volume possible it's sometimes feels too loud for me. Is there any way to set it to a bit lower volume? Help is appreciated.

Earpiece quality.

Anyone else notice that the earpiece quality is very average? Voices aren't that trebly or clear and can cause vibrations. Have tried 'clearsound' and 'adapt', but doesn't make much difference.
Any tips to make voices sound crisper?

Does the S5 still have Adapt Sound, if so, I found that to grearly improve the earpiece quality on the S4

Might end up with an earpiece as the phone isn't comfortable on my ear for long periods either due to the slight raised edging.
