There is a ported cm 7 by whitexp. It is pretty stable we have wifi partialy fixed, colors not inverted, hw acceleration working, etc.

eaac+ which was playing nicely on virtuoso 1.0.0.1 on my DZ previously.
Now i installed cm7 nightly-12 and aac nolonger works.
it shows an error decoding this kind of media.
what is the cause?
preoblem with cm7 or in Sense ROM some special codecs ???

i even tried liquid metal ROM, cyanogenmod 7 RC1 etc.. still not working
Perhaps there was a kernel change?
different nightlies, Liquid metal port, cm 7 RC2 all of then doesnt play eaac+ at all.
only way to play them is to go back to froyo.

anyone can confirm eaac+ working on senseginger 1.0.1 or desireHD gingerbread port ?
Still no support for eaac+ (HE AAC v2) any of the CM7 nightlies, CM 7.0.3, MIUI 1.6.3 etc..
Stock gingerbread doesnt playing it at all ....
so far its been playing only in Sense ROMs for my DZ
Anyone has clues ?? Does HTC specially licensed it for Sense ROMs ?

I've got a idea for Red lensed Defy's owners. I just don't know will it work or not...
So if CM 7.2 Defy+ has working 720p camera, why just don't try to make similar at ours simple Defy? I think we have to port camera.apk and camera.ko?
Can somebody tell something about that?

From where do you have that 720 recording?
Ou... I thought that Defy+ would have on custom rom 720p recording... So I was wrong...
Sorry about that. Now I'm searching how to port libraries to cyanogenmod. I think that is possible.
I found drivers for our camera, but only for linux, not android.

Maybe it'd be helpful in porting...
1. That are drivers for a sensor, not for the camera
2. Android is Linux
3. We already have camera drivers, so that's not what we need
Is there any chance to combine Tezet's ROM with Quarx driver for 720p recording?
There's a ROM already with this feature, MS2Ginger 4, but as stated in other threads, CM7 is the fastest ROM of all.
What's needed for this to be accomplished?

I saw this thread about [ROM] CyanogenMod OFFICIAL NIGHTLIES - 4.3 - CM10.2 - D80 and I don't know about 4.3? Is this means that my G2 will upgrade to 4.3 with CM10.2? Thanks guys. Just want to know before rushing to CM10.2. And lastly does CM have bugs on camera/video settings/modes? Thanks guys!
I don't keep up with CM revision number nomenclature, so this may be wrong... Best place to ask is probably inside the thread you're asking about.
That said, I'm assuming CyanogenMod 10.2 is built from AOSP 4.3 source and has been ported to the G2 D80x models.
As of yesterday evening, I believe all the 4.3 ROMs were reporting a few bugs involving audio, wake lock, and camera. The latest GOO.IM GAPPS camera.apk seemed to be working, including panorama.
Again, I'm not actively monitoring the D80x models or CM, so this could be slightly inaccurate.

I don't know if you have seeing the One plus One, but on it, there is CyanogenMod 11S with a great design, a good camera etc.
So, there is a way to have it, or CyanogenMod team gonna upgrade CM11 to CM11S ?
