Hi,
I have nexus7 3g. But it seems I can't connect to HSPA+ network meaning that the letter next to the network bar is "H" only and not "H+". The area I'm in supports such network!
How do I solve that?
Thank you

Attached is my device info. And you can notice the signal sign at the top.

I found that it doesn't show H+ even if the device is connected to it. I checked the status of the device and found that.

What does it mean when the wifi and cell signal icons in the status bar are grayed out? Because that happens to me a lot.

It means you aren't connected to google's server.

Which usually mean your phone is not acting like it should be.

Or you don't have a data/internet connection on your phone.

I was having this issue a lot today at work, but I was using my old cut sim. I got a new microsim from tmobile today so hopefully that fixes it

You can have grey bars and still have a data connection.

This. It means you still have a data connection, but not a current connection to Google's servers for syncing to their services.

I had no idea. Is there a reason why this would be happening?

Sometimes the servers just go down briefly.

I can connect to my wifi router fine but the icon is gray instead of blue and i believe this means limited connection. Not really sure what to do next. All my other devices connect to the wifi with no problem at all so it shouldn't be the problem with the router.
It means your not connected to Google

So it's a common issue with no fix yet ?
anybody else got a fix ?
im running on hspa and cant seem to enable hspa+, if it helps im running on the canadian wind network
You don't have to enable it... It is already enabled. If you have HSPA+ signal the phone will use it.

Android doesn't report hspa+ on the signal bars, but if you look in the about phone settings it will say hspa+.

Check this out. It's happened to me a few times and a restart usually fixes it but it's getting kind of annoying.
I'm running stock everything but I'm rooted. Any permanent fix?
I can use data but I can't make calls when this happens.

There is a permanent fix. Change provider. I was on wind and had same problems. Switched to Fido and problems are gone.

Seriously? I just switched from Mobilicity. Forcing it to connect by searching for the network and selecting it does bring back full connectivity so can't this problem be fixed?

I prefer using 4g as my indicator for LTE. I remember a themer app was used for the nexus 4 that achieved this. Would it be hard to do myself?
Thanks
