Actually, I was trying to follow the Interop Unlock Guide in here.
Trying to deploy Interop Unlock by Heathcliff74 v2.xap, I just could not install the xap package. It asks for "developer unlock".
Is it because I have a low diagnosis tool? Or do I have to downgrade my OS from 7.10.7720.68 into some earlier version? Or should I buy a "developer unlock" first?
That article says,
...
4. Uninstall the Samsung Diagnosis app.
5. Dial ##634# to install the latest Samsung Diagnosis app.
6. Use any Windows Phone App Deployment tool to install Interop Unlock by Heathcliff74 v2.xap.
...
But how can we uninstall the Diagnosis app?
Thanks in advance.

Honestly at this point your best bet is to upgrade to one of the custom WP 7.8 ROM's that are available now. Many of them come fully unlocked already meaning you won't have to buy anything. I suggest my version

Yes a Focus i917/i917R can run my ROM (the lin you posted is the correct one) so long as it is hardware version 1.3 (it will say under the battery.) If it is hardware version 1.4 there are WP 7.8 ROM's as well like vt2912's ROM found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024825

currently no way to unlock once NoDo is installed... as discussed at nasium You'll have to use the backup the updater made and revert back to pre Nodo. Unlock then use the samsung tools to prevent relocking then run the Nodo update again.
That's currently the only way of having a NoDo unlocked phone outside of just paying to be a developer. You know.... the lagit way!

Dont understand why its not possible to dev unlock after updates...unless you are talking Chevron. If this is the case, then you should probably talk to the chevron people as the NODO update closes that gap.
I heard the Chevron people were aware of this, prior to the NODO release and may be able to help you.
Otherwise I do not think anyone here can.
Im also looking for a way to back my phone to 7004. I got a new phone with the 206 FW. So it never had 7004 to unupgrade to..

Are the back ups phone specific? Couldnt you use a back up someone has of the 7004 an the use it to restore you phone from 7392 through Zune? If someone has a back up made that they could post here or send to me, Ill see what I can do to get it to work. My DVP came the 7392 so I dont have it.

Hello, so if someone have the original ROM (without all the update)
on the DVP, you can make a backup of the Zune and add a deposit
here to download? Everyone can then restore his ROM to a state before
all updates thanks to this backup and so we can unlock the phone.
Thnx

Hmmm ... maybe less than complete response.
I'm sitting at my update screen. I see that my phone is up to date.
I see my previous restore points.
I do not see anyway to force a backup.
I'm a simple person, and it drives me nuts when people respond and don't respond with detail. As best I understand it right now, there is no way to do a backup via automation (except when doing an update). I know there are ways to do a backup via the support tools -- but that is not what was responded above.
how to force a backup (or restore):

i also would like to have the option of a nodo rom to unlock and to pass it over to newer os versions but unfortunality my phone (europe dvp version) had already nodo on it
you can not use another phones backup on your phone. they are very much device specific. It has been tried by many in the WP7 forum but with no luck. They are encrypted and function for only the phone that they were created from.

You should be able to unlock the phone yourself using the guides posted here on xda forums. Theres a few so just pick one which you can understand and go for it.

That means you need to downgrade to 1.32 before you can do anything.

I dont know what rooted is thats why I took it to a shop to get unocked so I'm guessing no one knows the anwser
to unlock ur Simlock u will have to root ur phone to gain write access to patch / alter the file and have gone through the downgrade process to 1.32 FW. A shop prolly wont do that process for you as they tend to do the exact opposite and flash a non rooted Rom.
thanks, im new to this so this has really helped me.

Because when i start chevron is shows that it is already been unlocked (because the button says relock!), so i'm kind of confused?

Most up-to-date custom roms are all pre-unlocked. Just read the first post of the topic (reading helps )

Hello there,
i hope i am in the correct section. I have purchased a Nokia 6.1 (TA-1050) and i would like to install Lineage OS to use Google/FB as less as possible. If there is a more secute OS, please let me know.
I know about hikaricalyx and techmesto, that i can purchase there a key to unlock my bootlooader. Are those two websites safe to use? I dont know what they do with my IMEI and my serialnumber. Second, can i be sure that they dont install some third party tools in my smartphone while the unlocking process?
This is still quite new for me, sorry if i ask something already asked.
Greetings.

Sadly it didnt work. But i have no problem to pay 5-10 € to buy this bootloader unlock. MY main "probleme" is, how safe to use they are. Can i be sure, that they dont install some third party software in my smartphone?
Thanks, Greetings.

Um paying would be fine, if it is a trusted source.
Look for sources which many people have vouched for it.
I wouldnt buy it but in your case there seems like no choice.
I got my bootloader unlock from hikaricalyx and its very safe and takes only few minutes to unlock the bootloader. If you are aware regarding how to unlock the bootloader then you can only apply for bootloader unlock on your own during which you will be given a command prompt tool which you need to download and run on your pc with your phone connected. This tool will then produce some numbers which you need to provide hikaricalyx and in return he will then inform you the bootloader unlock key which you need to again input in tht tool.
He will not ask for your imei number.
Hello.
I have unlocked my Nokia and installed LineageOS. I used the service from hikaricalyx and it was very easy. I got a lot of help and he was very kind. Even if my phone was unlocked and had some trouble to install LineageOS he helped me. I dont think, that the files we used to unlock my phone was corrupted.
For everyone who wants the files: These are useless for you. Every time you boot your phone, it will generate a random singature. We read this ramdom hash and he signed the unlockfiles with that hash. IF you want to install LineageOS like me, on your Nokia 6 these ~5$ are worth it.
Thank all of you who replied.
I am done with this thread, but i let it open for someone who have simular questions. Sone mod can close it if he want.
