Weird battery problem [solved] - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

my phone battery get weird.
i used my phone like usual, texting, call, gamin, etc.
last day,my phone won't charging using my charger, but it's charging with usb..
i kept my phone off a night.
today,i try my friend's charger,it's charging,but suddenly stops,and charging again,and so on.
i though that was my battery problem.
tonight,i manage to charge until 70%,but it stuck in 70% for 2hrs. I do reset battery stats in cwm, suddenly my battery drain to 54%,charge again until 70%,stuck again,go to cwm again, get drained again.
so,anyone has any idea what is my problem?
i'm on JBv3 with hells_fusion kernel #63

Time To Replace Your Battery
Hello:
Sounds as if you have to replace your battery. Sometimes the expected battery life is not accurate. If you know someone who has the same phone as you, borrow their battery. Chances are great that you need to purchase a new one. - MobiManiacs

How old is your battery??
Sent from my Nexus⁴

Re: Weird battery problem.
Hmm it might even be due to kernel
My friend installed cm10 on his ace and he hardly used to get 15 mins of battery life
Then he changed kernel and it was OK
So jbv3 and hells kernal combination might not be that good try different kernal like savies or kuro itself

Severe battery drain problem

Severe battery drain problem happening to my Galaxy 3 in recent days whatever ROM or kernel I use.
Still under warranty for 6 months +. So I given to Service Centre.
At first they just formatted and reloaded with DDJP2.
Then I argued to provide a new battery and convinced from my side that the battery is the culprit.
And wow, they convinced and promised me to give a new battery in next week as they are out of stock now.
But my doubt is...
The problem is as follows:
The cell fully charges, indicated that the battery is fully charged.
When I unplug the charger, the battery indicator comes immediately to zero from 100 within 2 minutes with minimal phone or data usage. And it automatically switches off.
If I switch it on again even without charging, it again shows 100% charge.
So the question is, Is it the damaged battery the culprit is? Or some motherboard problem or what?
I am unable to judge the problem!!!
As it is proved that the service centre people are real dumb Is it time to switching to newly announced Symbian or only Galaxy 3 sucks!!!
Had similar problem with my Nokia which made me switch to Galaxy 3 few months back
When i had that kinda problem with Nokia the battery was sort of swelled and was deformed here and there. So i was sure my battery's dead.
If your battery looks good as new then the problem is with the chip.
Same prob I m having.. U need to do sum cycles to get Ur battery wrkin fine as said by rob_gangte ..

Drain the battery completely. If it switches off by itself, try to switch on and repeat this until it is completely drained. Switch off ur mobile. Wipe battery stats in cwm. Do not switch on and charge it for atleast 2hrs. Then switch on and repeat this for few cycles
This has been happening to ur phone since u bought it or after previous flashing...
If after some recent flashing then u hav ur answer (revert back to eclair then reflash) !!!

battery prob solved.

now my battery prob solved plz trash this thread.
do you use any 2.2 firmware? try flashing 2.1 eclair (recommended ddjg6)

I'm not sure that this draining issue is battery's fault....Mine drains when screen is off, seems like kernel bug.

Screen off doesn't mean your battery is not draining.
May be you can try "green power" from market..

What kernel are you using.
As per my knowledge there is no kernel bug of battery draining in any latest kernels i.e. stock kernel, G3Mod kernel or Fugumod.
I too have the same problem.
Yesterday night, heavy Data Network usage drained my phone battery to 0% in exactly half an hour and it switched off.
10 minutes later I turned on the phone and had 80% battery.
I tried calibrating the battery and even train it down to 0% until it won't start but didn't help
Does anyone knows a good Samsung Centre in the city of Pune, Maharashtra?

whether battery calibration has to be done with 100% charge or not?? and after calibration what does it mean by full cycle? discharging it until it switches off??

use g3mod kernel v 1.2.4 or 1.3.4 it will be better
use battery callibrator app available in the market
If it happens badly with the stock Rom and kernel, it is time to buy a new battery.

Maybe ur need to wipe data/cache
if not solved maybe ur battery its too risk
Sorry for my bad english
Now this particular problem might be caused by -
- Custom Kernel - Not fully stable or the Governor and schedule not set right or the governor set at Performance ( which accelerates the phone , but drains the battery)
- Battery is broken
or
- The socket through which you usually charge your phone might be sending off excess of charge through charger which might be damaging your phone
Solution
Buy a new battery
Us some other kernel

Try first using your original charger and see if thats the problem. If not, try using a different kernel (I would suggest Hells Fusion #50, its stable & bugless) or go back to stock kernel to test. if still no, try reverting to stock ROM (& stock kernel). If still doesnt work, its probably the battery.

[Q] Galaxy S4 Battery (I-9500) drains out quickly while playing Candy Crush

Hi,
I saw many folks are facing similar problems, but my problem is little different. Now a days whenever I play Candy Crush my S4's battery drains out very quickly i.e. 60-70% in the span of 5 - 10 minutes, also it gets charged up with equally fast (about 80 % in 10 min). My phone is just 3 months old...earlier there was no such problem. I haven't installed any new apps in between. Is it the problem with the battery or with the handset?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
The battery drain in almost time cause of software problems
But charging too fast Im saying it could problem with the battery it self
Try to charge your phone with original charger

I don't think this will work.
My guess is you have a faulty battery. That happens. Get a new one.

have you tried looking at your battery on settings ? see if what apps consumes most of your battery

It's because from what I remember, battery callibration is not regulated at rom level. It's a chip inside the battery.
For example:
With the old HTC Desire you could wipe battery stats in the recovery.
For the Samsung Galaxy S2 this didn't have any effect because the chip inside the battery regulated the calibration.
From what I remember it's the same for the S4. If the calibration does not work (eg charging to 100%, taking the battery out, putting it back in, recharge again till 100%) then his battery is faulty. So unless he messed his rom up seriously, no wipe or other rom will help. His OS just reads the data from the chip.
