Well I was using my nexus 7 when I just let the device in standby to watch TV. When I got the nexus back to use it the device was turned off. I tried to turn it on a lot of times and it didn't work. After a lot of tries it turned it on. So....... Should I contact support? Is that normal? The bootloader is unlocked, I am afraid it happens again and I can't lock the bootloader before sending it to support.

However I remember some 3rd party battery apps show correct info despite the info under settings.

I think this is because android OS is designed to work as a mobile operating system (not turning it off unless there is no battery) so that's y after using ur tabler when u turn it off it resets the time or add a significant difference.
I don't turn off my tablet and most of users don't so that's y ur only having this problem.
Besides tangby time on nexus 7 is amazing 1%-2% drop in 12 hours.

The only time that Android should be resetting battery stats is when you unplug the device after an approximately full charge

Did anyone get to the bottom of this?

My girlfriends nexus won't turn on. She said the tablet randomly rebooted and got stuck on the boot screen. Now the tablet won't start. I charged it overnight and it won't turn on. I tried holding all the buttons in different combinations to try a hard reset but nothing happens. It's running fully stock. It's not even rooted.

Which version is it running?
Same thing happened to my sister's N7.....
If you can enter boot loader , then unlock it and flash either stock or CM. Otherwise u gotta call Google.
I think this is an issue with battery consumption and kernel. Cuz her battery had run dry and I think the OS failed to turn off properly which caused some kind of corruption! (Jus a guess so feel free to correct me)

The tablet is running 4.2.1 the tablet got the update but when I tried to update it I got an error message but that was days ago. I just hard reset it holding down the buttons.

Hey everyone
I'm running stock 4.3
Yesterday I turned off my phone with around 60 percent of the battery left
And today morning its not turning on! I tried connecting to the charger but no response!
Someone help, please!

Try booting into the bootloader and rebooting from there. Hold volume down and power, then if/when the bootloader comes up use power to select start.
Tried that too. No response at all from phone.

With the device completely off just press and hold volume up and down, it should take you to download mode.

Just picked up a p600 and has been working fine on the CM 2.0 ROM. Today however i try to turn on and no matter which buttons nothing is happening. Only once I got it into the recovery and choose to boot system but again black screen. Have I a did and am I better off switching for snapdragon version?

Only once did it randomly go into trwp recovery but its seen like a fault not software issue. Hope I can get a replacement

Its dead nothing happening with any button combos. Battery was 90%. Losing faith with Samsung had to get a replacement for a note 3 previously and have now switched to a nexus 5. May get a refund on this and wait on the nexus 10 2014 model

My condolences mate maybe there is a way to reset it with ADB commands or something? Wait till you get another answer, I don't know too much about these things myself.
I tried unplugging battery for 15mins opened it very carefully. But no luck. I'm just really annoyed as I lost data and its rooted so swap is only option

What I didn't understand is why you not re-flash a ROM via recovery or flash a stock ROM via Odin to see if this solve your problem. That will be one of my first steps.
PS. Other options are connect the device in the black-screen-mode and check via adb if you can see anything. Maybe an access to log cat is her possible and to get an output to see what goes wrong.
I've been having the same problem.. I just bought mine on Monday. It has either shutdown it self or just doesn't want to turn on, but I have to press the power button and +- volume buttons to turn it back on.. Now, I'm just waiting for it to do it again so I can return it...

Hi, so the short story is that my phone power button does not work, and its turned of because the battery finished and now its charged, what can I do to turn it on??
I don't think ADB works cause phone is off...
Any solution??

Fix the power button
You could attempt just plugging it in and unplugging it a bunch, I have had some phones in the past that this works for, but if you are rooted I know at least one version of twrp recovery caused my phone to power on when plugged in and it would boot to recovery, from there you could just boot to os. Of course you would still need to get it to power on at least once first, so my guess is you need to fix the power button

open phone, remove the power button board(its connected to the mobo with 2 golden pins, they just contact with mobo, so you can just lift away), and do a little short on 2 golden contacts on the mobo till phone turns on
Yes, i tried to hold it about 2 min, i'm sure this is hardware problem
