Hey guys, I just searched through and found:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=614850
*Still a new noob on the forums so I wasn't able to link the complete thread.
That thread for updating rooted phones. Is there a different method for EVO's or does this post apply for EVO's as well?
Just rooted my phone this past weekend (with Unrevoked3) and I'm quite new to the root ways. Currently not running any special ROM's just using launcherPRO instead of Sense UI.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
If you get it upload it here we can do nothing for rooted phones till soneone who got the update actually takes the time to upload it

Working like a charm... the phone is lightning quick.
Its been a while since im been on the acer forums i havent needed to use my tablet much. What i need to know is I flashed the stock ics leak that happend months ago, im still stock on that leak.
1. Will I get the ota for ics?
2. When i get it can i just update with out problems?
Thanks for the help ppl.
Yes you can flash it, but you may have to jump through some hoops first.
info is kinda all over the place since ICS was released...but most of the info is on page one...so start reading...
I was stock Gen 2 and had no issues with the update process , no info was lost...
I was getting tired of waiting for the ICS update on my A500, and happened to be using the Google Play store. I searched for Acer, and found an update for the A500/A501 update service. Once I installed this update and rebooted, the next time I used the "Check for update" feature in settings, the update finally started.

Hi Guys,
I have just sold my Iconia A500 and the new buyer wants me to return the tab back to stock ICS.
I have did a few searches but can't find the info what i am looking for.. currently the tab has the following on it
Skirlax_CZ unlocked bootloader (0.03.12)
CWM Recovery
AOKP rom
I don't want to go in ham fisted and brick the tab so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Easy as pie. Flash the stock 3.1 (Acer_A500_4.010.38_COM_GEN1.zip) AFTER WIPING SYSTEM/CACHE/DATA/DELVIC, reboot, then ota to ICS. After you do the first OTA to 3.2 and it reboots it will say a Flashing Bootloader message then reboot with all stock everything.
Here's a link to it in my dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fpdy13u4ufec461/Acer_A500_4.010.38_COM_GEN1.zip
That was along the lines of what i thought... but i did not want to just do it without checking.
Thanks for the link and post.
Hi there,
Did you get back to stock ICS using this method?
I want to get back to stock ICS so I can use AFTEROTA to unlock my bootloader the "easy" way. - I tried installing some "stock" roms last night but (3.2) but none of them offered me the ICS OTA.
I assume that to do the OTA I just go into the settings under About Tablet >System updates and check from there?
Are there any regional restrictions on the OTA? - I know Australia is sometimes behind with android updates.

Just grab that rom from my post and flash it in CWM after wiping.

You are correct. System/about/update all the way to ICS.

I have no idea... But I doubt it.
Thanks JdgM3NT4L,
I installed the the rom but when I go into System/about/update it comes up with:
No update
Your device is up to date.
I did not log in to my google account - but I doubt that would have anything to do with the Acer update.
Any suggestions?

Give it a few days. Also, check the market and make sure the Iconia Update Enhancement is shown as installed. It should be. If not, install it.
MD
Thanks MD,
Will give it a shot.
If waiting it out takes more time that you want you could go to blackthund3r's thread in the Dev section here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1816560, and grab the OTA's.
I have no idea about getting OTA's when not in the United States. It's seems strange to me because immediately after booting my tab and updating the Enhancement App my updates are available right away.
Please share your results and what you had to do to get updated. Especially if anything is different than expected. I'm hoping that it OTA's for you without a problem.
Thank you.
Still waiting on the update - I am not in a rush. Will let you know when it comes through
Thanks for the help
Still waiting on the OTA....
Am getting impatient. I think I will try this:

reading the thread it says that they should be flashed by the stock recovery - however my recovery is not stock - it is touch based on Ra recovery.
how do I go about flashing these if my recovery is not stock?
Finally gave up waiting and manually flashed the OTA. Then it was easy to use afterota to install bootloader and recovery. not sure why I didn't get the OTA from Acer.

Whats up everyone!
Just received the OTA upgrade here in BRAZIL!
But, considering that I am a noob, could you please tell me guys , if I am able to port it so all XDA members can have it?
Ps: Nexus 4 - STOCK, non rooted - 4.3 JWR66Y
lol i think u are a little late for the party. The stock images have been out... Check the development section.

I know that Stock Images were running trought here Long time Ago.
But I preffered to not try this method since I saw many people having trouble with that.
And I saw a topic where people giver the URL to everyone download the Official Rom. But it still unavailable.
Thinking in all of it, I was thinking to make it available for everyone
If you haven't started the update, you can try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2414424
In the output, the OTA URL will start with http://android.client.google.com
Hey guys i am currently running 13.3.2.6. And i would like to downgrade so i can root and install an Android custom Room.. I have tried the posts here on the first page but i get stuck when I am trying to change the values so I can roll back to an older Amazon OS. IS there another way that anyone has figured out yet.
