Try with xplore file manager.
Just replace your files with it. No need to unzip and zip. Xplore will do it automatically.

i've extracted the zip files, but no clue where to put them :|
(system stuff goes into the system folder, but what about the META-INF folder?)
install it with xrecovery.

camera n compass u flash it in xrecovery. u can flash both then reboot without having to reboot after each flash.
as for mddi u need to do it manually for now i don't think doixanh made a xrecovery zip yet
the meta-inf folder basically just contains a script to tell xrecovery where to copy the files.

i don't need a zip file (it's only one file to be replaced, imho it's faster to replace it manually than reboot twice), but if someone else prefers a flashable zip you may make one
Hi.
I recently installed sdsl 1.1 but now i want to go back to mu4ik 2.3.7 swift droi but recovery wont install the rom.
Does anyone knows why and what i have to do
could you explain what you mean by it wont install the ROM?
When i install zip in recovery it aborts.
I downloaded swiftdroid ASIS zip file, inside that zip there is a recovery.img and an update....zip
If i try to flash a asis file it will just abort
.if i use the update.zip will say bad file or something

Firstly you have to install update.zip extract it from the rar/zip you have download and copy that file in the root of your sd card.
Also check if you have download the file properly and there are no spaces in between the name of the file.
And lastly try using a 2+ recovery.

oops dint read 1 post up sry
Just asking, does it matter if i rename the .zip file to whatever i want?
Note: I mean FLASHABLE zips.
Remember, if you rename flashable zip to .apk, it will show Parse Error. If you rename it to .rar, CWM and stock recovery will not show the .rar file because they only supports zips only.
In simple words, I don't recommend to rename/change file extentison to another rather than .zip.
However you can unzip it and recompress it using .7z or .rar to backup it.
EDIT: Fixed some typos.

Will it still work?

It does matter if the one you rename is the file ext(.zip) but if you will only rename the flashable for ex.(flashable.zip) it doesnt matteras long as you will not use .(period) in the name you would like to add

So, where is the problem? If you just want it completly original download the flashable unrooted stock zip from here and unzip the file. It contains all partitions from the phone. If you need the files inside of those images just rename the *.bin- and *.img-files to *-zip and unzip them. Done.
Good luck.
