I won't harp on this being the wrong device forum given your question, but come on now... post questions in the Q/A & Help subforum.
Answer:
SPH-D710 is Epic 4G Touch
You could have simply typed the model number into Google search to get your answer. Also, post all your questions to that device's Q/A forum.
As far as I'm aware, Sprint does not use SIM cards. If you happen across an international phone that Sprint sells, then it may have a SIM. However my gut would say it won't. Said international phone would have other radios in the device to access those bands abroad.

Unlocked phones?

Ok my question is, what non verizon 4g phones will work on the verizon network? that is if I can find them unlocked. Any help is greatly appreciated.

hi there I found a site that might be able to answer your question..
http://ask.metafilter.com/57048/Can...given-only-to-those-blessed-with-GSM-carriers
it says that Verizon uses CDMA, and only very few other carriers use this technology. I think only Sprint, Alltel, and Amp'ed have phones that also run on the CDMA network so if you could find a second hand phone that runs CDMA
then you could register it under verizon if thats correct.
If you take a CDMA only phone it means you can't use it in much of Europe though.

World Phone?

This has probably been asked elsewhere, but I can't seem to find the answer:
Is this phone by Sprint a "world phone"? Does it have a slot for SIM cards? Has anyone tried the phone with other service providers' SIMs?
Yes it does have a sim slot. Sprint said something about having agreements in certain countries for world phone use

It's a world phone. After Sprint unlocks your phone, you can pop in a foreign SIM card and use it while traveling internationally. This method will be cheaper than paying the international roaming fee that Sprint charges. Sprint was having some technical problems at first unlocking the SIM but I think they figured it out now.
I just got done having Sprint unlock my S4. Going on a trip in a month and I should be able to put in a SIM card without any issues

[Q] Verizon Samsung S4 SIM Card Unlocked?

I've been hunting for an answer to this semi-simple question everywhere, and have found about 4 answers (all different ones - somehow :silly: ) So I'll try asking here.... I'm going to study abroad in Spain this semester, and I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 from Verizon (it was an upgrade contract, not full price). When I asked the sales rep he said that the SIM card would have to be unlocked. However, when I talked to Verizon "technical support" they said, no, they're already unlocked and ready for international use. What I've seen in other forums is that people say it seemingly takes SIM cards but won't pick the network up. Does anybody here have experience with the Verizon S4 being used internationally? Can it be done? Do I need to unlock it? Thanks for any insights!

As a Verizon phone uses a CDMA signal, I don't think it is going to work anywhere in Europe where they use GSM signals. Sorry.

The S4 is equipped with a GSM radio, I checked on that much at least.
Yes
I went ahead and just bit the bullet and bought a SIM card here, and good news: it works :good:
HOWEVER, I believe the problem that others who tried to use it globally were having is that it defaults to Global mode, which doesn't really seem to work (No clue what Global mode is, but I got a signal with no data connection). For anyone who wants to use it internationally, you will have to manually switch to GSM/UMTS by going to Settings>Connections>More networks>Mobile networks>Network mode>GSM/UMTS

Is it possible to change my Serial IME IMED ESN on a Straight Talk i9505

I apologize profusely for being a "nubie" on smartphone technology.. I'm quite adept on PCs so I not stupid... just ignorant in this area.
OK.. I just bought a new Straight Talk Samsung S 4 i9505 and I'd LIKE to change the Serial IME to achieve anonymity which I unfortunately lost from a stupid move on my part.
So... is this possible and how would I go about doing so?
Many many thanks in advance...
GT-I9505 is the International S4. What you have is a SCH-S975L, which is Straight Talk's Galaxy S4 model, running on T-Mobile towers. If you had an I9505 like I do, you wouldn't have working LTE, as the International S4 doesn't have the proper LTE frequencies for the United States.
Changing the IMEI of a phone for any reason is illegal, and discussing it is forbidden here. Unfortunately, that means your post will have to be reported, before unwanted discussion on the topic begins.
Just a reminder:
Discussing IMEI is a touchy subject.
Do not provide your IMEI to anyone. Certainly not on XDA.
Thank you.

US Cellular Note 4 - Sprint

I recently bought a US Cellular note 4. As the title implies I would like to make it work with my current Sprint service plan. I have already called US Cellular and the phone is unlocked according to them.
I understand the uncompatibility issues relating to the stock bands, is there anyway that I could realistically set the phone up to work with sprint? When inserting my SIM the phone say it is incompatible or does not recognize it.
Any Idea on where to go from here? Sorry if I messed up on some forum etiquette, this is my first post and I am not yet aquaintend with to goings-on of posting on XDA .
