P6210 - No power after error in odin - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

hello guys, today I tried to update my p6210, would give download version 4 of the sammobile, went to odin, already have some experience, however had stopped in the section re-partition, hence I removed the cable (after waiting a 5min , this screen), and give no more called. already removed the battery for a reset and nothing. the pc does not recognize, or anything, and he's no sign of life. someone there has a tip to solve?
PS. I'm desperate because I just bought ....

You're in the wrong section for a start, you haven't flashed the wrong thing by accident have you?

I'm sorry for being in the wrong section, was not my intention, I used the correct FW. however as he said in RE_PARTITION not continued, so I pulled the cord and not turned over. or nothing appears on the screen, PC also does not recognize.

Does it not show any signs of life whatsoever? Have you tried putting it on charge over night and seeing if there is any charge at all in the morning?
It may be too FUBAR to do anything with. Or It may only need to have the battery changed with a full one and reflashed, but that will void warranty getting to the battery, if you do that (if it's a sealed unit like the GT-P7500) It may just be best to send it in for service by Samsung.

Almost had a heart attack

So I sent my phone into samsung the other week to get reflashed after a ota update bricked it, I have the samsung vibrant like everyone else in this section hehe
They fixed it and sent it back, I started flashing some custom roms and then i flashed a custom kernel, Odin froze and I wanted, tryed to reset the phone and OH CRAP! there was the dreaded pc to phone screen I had before I sent it in, I was like oh no! So I got mad and let it sit for a hour, I looked online and bought a jig to get it back(im glad I did, i might need it later) I havent got the jig yet either since this was last night. I plugged the phone back into my pc, and ding ding it recognized it on that screen and it didnt before I sent it to samsung. I was able to odin from that thing, I was so happy and rejoiced! has anyone ever been able to? I bricked it again on purpose and did the same thing over too, so samsung must of changed something

don't know, but that PC to Phone screen IS the download mode, you can just connect your phone to PC and odin from that screen

From what I've read, you can ODIN back to stock even when on that screen so it is pretty much like download mode.
Hmmm, why didnt it work before? i couldnt get it do anything until samsung sent it back to me, Odd....hmmmm
This is 10000% true. I've done it

Sometimes takes several tries. It usually doesn't work until you start to get really scared around attempt #5-6.

I have had it non responsive on the pc-to-computer screen. If this happens you just do the battery pull hold 2 button then plug into the computer to get it into download mode......but you also may need to hit the home and menu button to get it to be responsive. Or- just get the jig..............

When you see the phone to PC screen just hold the power button and the volume up/ down until you see the symbol for the second time then plug your USB into your phone and the COM port should show up.

thanks for your reply but these only work if you have some life in the phone, mine dosnt light up vibrate or anything
might be worth a try anyway... I mean you could always bring it to a repair centre???
Here is a tip for you, mate
If your phone is so damaged that no one seems to know what went wrong with it unless you told them you flashed a ROM and everything went wrong.
SEND TO SAMSUNG FOR FREE!
How? With your current condition, they can't tell that you messed around with it. Do not mention anything about Froyo, Gingerbread, Odin, Flash, Kernel. Act like you know nothing about all of those.
Try to put the blame on Kies. Tell them that you connected to Kies and it asked you for a Firmware Update. You click UPDATE and *KABOOM*. Your warranty would not be void. Trust me

Doesn't matter, the phone isn't even a year old yet so you should still have warranty bud , I did exactly the same thing, I blamed kies and the service centre in Staines UK fixed it for free

I know it will sound dumb, but have you tried charging the battery? Does anything come out in the screen?

yes left it on charge over night
I bought my phone from someone else too. But the dude gave me a warranty document together with it.
I'm not sure if this applies to other region, but in Asia, phones have warranty stickers in them in case the warranty documents are not available.
Samsung Galaxy S GT i9000 has a warranty period of 2 years.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
And in most cases the Service Centre will just the IMEI of the phone to check the warranty status. Hope you get it sorted..
Normally, when you charge your phone and you press the power key, the screen will show a battery charging, and the level of charge. When you do it, does anything come out in the screen?

Bricked Tab P1010

I was trying update to GB.... and by accident nudge the usb cable off! Now its Hard bricked! It has no response at all (cant power on, no display, nilch!!)! Any ideas how to rescue it?
the future is bright, the future is Galaxy.
use the search and look for : how to recover hard bricked devices, I am pretty sure there is something you can do, and if everything fails get it to Samsung repair service and ask for help.
good luck my friend, the only advice I would give to the people who own such devices is DO NOT FLASH YOU TABLET FOR NOTHING! IT IS A USFUL TOOL TO READ AND MAKE PHONE CALLS NOT FOR BETA TESTING ALMOST ANY AVAILABLE ROM OVER THE NET.

Nothing! as long your device is still in warranty they won't charge you for it, they can check from your serial no. or if you still have the receipt. Go on samsung site and lookup your nearest service centre.
"in the brightest day in the blackest night, no Apple shall escape Android's might"
I've used this service before. Cost was total was $50 plus 1 way shipping to them. They paid the return shipping. I got it back within a a few days of them receiving it. Make sure to get unbrickable mod applied to it. Then you will never have to worry about bricking your tab again. Unbrickable mod is a hardware modification that makes your tab into a developer version of the tab. It kinda puts your tab into a a different download mode when you plug it into a usb port that lets your flash a new bootloader over usb if you accidentally delete yours.
http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-unbrickable-mod-repair/
And Rpatton I am sorry I didn't see your PM. I haven't been actually signed into xda very often until recently. I really recommend this service if you still have a tab in good condition. I was in the same boat you are in now for almost a year until I finally got off my ass a looked into getting it fixed. Although I haven't had to actually try using this mod, I know that it does work and there are tutorials out there about how to recover once you have this mod applied.
used them they are great a little hiccup with them but they fixed it got my tab back been using it like new since . Great service i would recommend it to anyone.

[Q] New phone and bricked after 15mins!!! SERIOUSLY???

Hey there fellow member.
I was really happy when i bought my new phone (Samsung Nexus S) and really want to explore it and see what the phone can do! So... i plugged in the battery, opened the phone, and all was fine. Since i connected the wifi it asked me to update to ICS rom 4.0.4, and i said, sure why not? The rom when was finished from download asked me to restart the phone. A small installation bar appeared and then... BAM blank screen! I was like WTF i didnt even moved the phone. In 15mins i realise the phone was bricked (new world record or something )
So now the phone is not opening and i thinking to use it like a hammer or something. Before i do that, is there any way to revive it? I searched for solutions into the forum but the best solution was an application on Ubuntu OS. So... is there any solution to do in windows OS?
Although i think the best answer is to get the phone back for refound....
Anyways, waitting your ideas and please /soothe me
If u can get refund/exchange go for it, don't even try to temper with phone, just go for refund/exchange if u can.
take it to a sprint store and tell them what happened they will take care of u

Did you buy the phone used? If so I'm betting its already rooted so the ota will do that. Try a battery pull or a hard reset. (power + volume buttons)

S III died yesterday

Hi guys!
Just wanted to share my pain, hope you won´t mind...
This is what happened:
Yesterday I came home from work, pulled my S3 out of my pocket and saw it was turned off. I tried to turn it on, but no luck. The phone was dead! Tried pulling the battery out, leaving it alone for more than 10 mins... tried to boot it into recovery - nothing. Tried the download mode - no signs of life at all. It was just a shiny brick! Putting it on charger didn´t help. No reaction, no led flashing, NOTHING! And just half an hour before everything was fine.
I was running the latest official AOKP build the last couple of days, so I really don´t believe that the software has something to do with it since I didn´t flash anything yesterday. The other question is now if the Samsung guys will notice that the phone wasn´t running stock software and that the warranty is actually void... I hope they won´t! But if they too won´t be able to turn it on, I guess they won´t!
I took the phone to the Samsung service center this morning and didn´t receive any feedback yet. As soon as I know something I´ll share it.
Did anyone happen something similar to this?
awww sorry to hear that , i am sure its covered in warranty
I don't understand the warranty thing, if the phone is dead and not due to you installing a Rom or kernel or modding it then can't really see any reason to refuse fixing or replacing it.
If however it was because of the reason that you did install things then I can see how the warranty is void.
Hope you get it seen to

In 2013, rooting won't be illegal. Too bad it happened to your device, that is just bad luck.

i don't know where you live but i'm pretty sure rooting is not illegal anywhere it just voids your warranty. removing the simlock is an entirely different story
Has happened to me too, 1 week after purchase (got stuck on the Samsung Galaxy SIII on boot). Got mine replaced right there and then but i'm left wondering about the quality of the phone. I get it that there are always problems with every product but i see so many people reporting the same lately i start thinking it may be chronic. Some component failing or some batch where something went wrong..
Sorry to hear that, they are an absolute pain in the ass with warranty in my country. They didn't even want to replace mine because the dude was claiming the back of my phone was slightly scratched (i wasn't, even) and they are quite anal about modded phones but, wish you the best of lucks!

Could you please be a little bit more precise? Is this a rumor or a new law to get passed?
exaclty the same happened to me. just in the middle of the day i realized that my sg3 was off. tried to turn it on but it didnt react. later at home i tried to charge but had the same bad result.
my biggest problem was, that it was rooted and running on a custom firmware since they tell you at every point, that you lose your warranty doing that...
after several hours of trying / searching and reading i became sure, that it would be an hardware fault and sent it to a local cellphone-support center.
they needed about 2 weeks to find out the problem, order a new main board, fix it and luckily didnt care about my custom firmware. they even updated it to the latest offical 4.1!
2 day ago i got it back and became happy - in this 2 weeks i realized how much i depend on this little thing
soo... i feel with you on this and good luck!

This is actually what I´m thinking... that the motherboard died... I just hope that tomorrow or on wednesday, I will at least get informed what is wrong with it... Don´t even dare to think how long it will take to have it again... And yes... I depend on it too!!! Maybe even too much!!! LOL

Stop flashing whatever roms you don't know ,or u will suffer a sever consequence "i'm talking about hard brick" .READ FORUMS AND TUTORIALS
Mine completely died just about 2 weeks ago, stock rom but rooted. Dropped it off at a service centre and got it back today with a shiny new motherboard (and JB)... As long as it's properly dead, they can't tell what's on it as the only way to revive it is to change the innards.

Dude, I´m not a noob, what happened has nothing to do with software.
I entirely accept that this is a generalism and as such is bound to attract a hoard of punters contradicting it, but in many years on these boards I can recall few if any instances where repairs have been refused due to the installation of non-standard ROMs. It is sensible for manufacturers to discourage the practice - XDA-Developers is plagued with ill-informed noobs charging off to do things beyond their technical capabilities without doing adequate research - but I suspect a refusal to play the game would be counterproductive.
That said, I would always be inclined to revert back to a stock ROM and clean up a bit if I had the option before doing a return for repair.
its the same thing that happened to my phone running cm10 about 2 days ago.
sent my phone in for repairs to samsung. they probably won't be able to find out it was modified. probably needs to change hardware to even boot the phone up.
disappointing experience. :/
by any means, did you played with the clock levels?

just got back my phone.
They fixed it even though I rooted & had custom rom installed.
Guess they couldn't tell as the phone couldn't even start up. hahah.
Now restoring the latest nandroid I had.
Nice to here that pal, hope this will not happen to anyone in future... this is my 2nd GS 3 (first broken due to Barca loss vs Madrid in August) and never had hardware problems.
So... here I am again...
Got my phone back yesterday. And it was the motherboard so they replaced it.
Man was I happy to have my phone back! But... my hapiness didn't last long.
When I came home I had to discover that now the gyroscope is not working. No autorotate whatsoever, no games that require the accelerometer...
Means they just replaced the mother board, flashed the latest firmware but didn't bother to test the device.
So tomorrow I'm going back to the service center and I'm going to yell my soul out at whoever responsible...
Unbelievable!
(screen rotation is checked, I tried calibrating the gyro, pulling out the battery, etc...)
This is such a disappointing experience... I'll think twice before buying a Samsung phone again...
