There is no SD. You cannot mount as storage in recovery. You're supposed to have the rom on the phone before you wipe, and even then you aren't supposed to wipe system.

If you've already wiped and don't have a system to boot into, you can use ADB sideload to load a new ROM into the internal storage.

Is it not possible to mount the internal storage in CWM on this phone?

[Q] How to mount internal memory

Hello, I'm running Oxygen, and I can't find where to mount internal memory. On other ROMs, both the sdcard and the internal memory appeared when I connected to phone to my PC, but now only the sdcard appears.
Thanks in advance.

Hi don't know if it helps, but this config is in cm7 rom and it mounts both disks so put this (extracted first) in your etc folder replace if needed (backup your original) reboot phone and then try to mount and see what happens
Didn't worked for me. I think oxygen doesn't support mounting the internal memory. It's a known issue

maybe oxygen formats that partition with ex4? or 3? so windows don't mount it?
what if yo format it with phone menu and then press mount in storage menu.
No, the partition is fat, you can see this if you run /proc/mounts from adb shell.
So, how can I install a new ROM, without mounting the internal memory? Suggestions?

the problem is with the rom because at the storage settings it doesn't recognize any internal sd. Only your external. That's why windows don't mount it either.

Yes I have oxygen r1 too and install any new rom via clockworkmod. I paste from external sd to internal with root explorer (i think astro can do it also), boot to clockworkmod and install zip from sd card (the internal sd card).
Clockworkmod reads the internal sd card correctly.
Thanks, by the way, what's the internal sd folder?

Your internal sd card folder is named "HWUserData" and you can find it with a file manager (astro or root explorer etc...).
Sorry for my bad english
Thanks a lot
Your English is fine by the way

Format mnt/sdcard

Hi,
i have a strange problem:
i have a 8gb sd card in my xoom and run codename android 1.5.5
But somehow i have two mountpoints:
mnt/sdcard - is somehow on the internal storage
mnt/external1 - is the "real" sdcard
on mnt/sdcard is a folder from an app named "caustic" that i can't delete, so i tried to format /sdcard with clockworkmod, but it formatted my real sdcard (mnt/external1)
even if i do full wipe mnt/sdcard is not formatted....
do you have any clue what i can do??
thx...

I'd advise against formatting your internal SD card. Those who have done so ended up with a hard brick.
Instead, look up the adb commands to wipe user data while connected via usb to your pc. You can google it or try to search this section. That's the best way to start fresh but not lose your vital stuff/partitions, etc.
Okay, then i'll try that...thx!

[Q] Cannot use internal sd to store applications after partitioning

Hello
I accidentaly partitioned my internal SD from the recovery console. I can see it fine, when my phone boots under cm9. The problem is that I cannot use it to store applications.
When I go to settings->storage, I can see the following storages :
1) Internal Storage total space 114MB
2) USB Storage total space 7.38GB
I tried to install google maps and I got a not enough available memory message.
Post in Q&A section please
Btw you can re-partition it again and try
Sorry. I said it was a question somewhere, though!!
I repartitioned it again a while ago, and I still get internal storage 114MB, which means I have very little space to install apps that cannot be moved to the SD.
Am I missing something else here?

Depending on what type of partition you may have made earlier ...rfs or ext 4.. your phone may be only reading one of this partitions...best to unmount and format to your current phones format
I repartitioned and formated it under recovery mode.
Nonetheless, when I go to settings->storage, I can only see the 7.38GB of the internal SD under the USB STORAGE section.
I only have 152KB of recognizable internal storage available now, which means I can`t install anything.
I use the recovery mode to partition the internal SD. I want my internal SD, to be recognized as internal, as it used to be before I used the partition utility.
Gasp!!

undo your lagfix FIRST ..than use menu > settings> storage> unmount and format to recover full SD card space
I found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=733343
where someone gives a script that removes the lagfix, or so he claims. Can I copy it over to my phone and then use the terminal to execute it?

pretty old thread, not sure as to what kernel that script is for .
Why not try to undo partition in recovery as that option should be there...the same way you were able to partition .
Sorry pal for being so persistive but I cannot find any undo partition in the recovery.
Do I really need to lagfix before I try what you suggested before? What does the lagfix do anyway?
One important thing I just noticed. I cannot unmount it, under settings->storage because it ain`t recognized under the SD CARD section but under USB STORAGE.
Ain`t that odd?

one and the same thing lagfix changes rfs (original samsung format) to ext 2 or ext 4 formats
the partitioning you have done... I assume is to ext 4 or is it ext 2?

well, this would be case, because, you have two different partitions and your system cannot read one because its is using the other.
In storage you can unmount and format using your PC, as that would be the only option for you now (so best you use this option, but first copy the entire contents of SD card to your PC) after format you can copy what you need back to your SD card
or you can use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709398
but be careful which drive you format

Same problem here. Bump Bump!
Probably you should try to mount /data instead of /sdcard.
try a different sd card.. if that does not work format the sd card in your phone then try again.. i have some 8 gb sd cards that will not work with recovery but are fine in android roms..

I think you cant mount sd-card in recovery as there is no sd-card in Nexus 4, Instead the internal storage is always mounted.
