So some users told me to post it somewhere because its wonderful work
Really it is.. because i change many visually things in system

•su (and enter with mobile keyboard enter button for superuser permission)
•Long tap the screen and paste the code
•Enter again
•Then the device will itself reboot

Thanks for sharing, I will download and keep as I change roms often and I usually try dx new releases.
Would this work with any other roms? If you did not try then I will try with kuyadroid and gingerxperia tomorrow.

I have also link in first post.
I have one question. After the installation, the "Brightness" and the "Sound" widget in notification bar did not respond. How can I make it work? Everything else working just fine, but not these options. And one more thing - I was with GingerDX v.17, and after this update now it's shows v.22. Thanks in advance for your answers!
P.S. Sorry if I disturb you with my poor english!

I always use QPick with any ROM...
Hi,
I recently (re)started to play with my NSTG, and I did some digging in theses forums so I made a list with all the useful information I found here.
All of this helped me to make my Nook like it's brand new
I hope that I'll avoid some time-consuming dig to people here and think that it'll be useful to any newcomer !
Please let me know if there's any problems (links, translation, ...)
For information, I also published it on my blog, here.
Pour les français, vous pouvez trouver la version originale ici !
CWM Recovery
Differents version : on the SD Card (128 Mb or 2 Gb), or integrated in the system, see here - XDA.
For launching it, just power on the Nook and press the two lower buttons (left & right) when the screen change for "Read Forever", and wait for the recovery
Kernels
Kernel installer via CWM : Download this archive file here and place the uImage and uRamdisk files in the /boot directory, then flash it.
Compatible with the 1.2.x system :
v166 : Wifi, GlowLight, NoRefresh2, 1 Ghz - XDA Link
v174 : Wifi, (GlowLight) sans on/off, NoRefresh2, 1 Ghz - XDA Link
v174mod : Wifi, GlowLight, NoRefresh2, 1 Ghz- XDA Link
Not tested : Kernel with USB-Host : original version and version with the SD10 patch.
Just in case, the original NSTG kernel
FastMode application: GitHub and FastMode2 : XDA : very useful to switch refreshing mode !
Finally, you'll find some useful scripts here.
Roms
Base 1.1.x (NST) :
TouchNooter 2.1.31 : not tested
Base 1.2.x (NST et NSTG) :
GlowNooter 1.12.25 : 1.2.0
pinguy1982 Tweaked Modded ROM
1337 ROM
Original 1.2.1 - B&N USA : English only, no dictionaries
Original 1.2.1 - B&N UK : Multi-lingual, dictionaries
Install via CWM : check Install zip > Toggle Signature Verification before installer
If the checking process doesn't work, try a repack with the 1337 ROM (take the modded update.zip from it and replace all the files with the official one). The verification isn't needed with this method.
Root with Nook Manager
Some useful applications
Nook Clear Screen-ST/GlowLight
Amazon Kindle for Nook
ADW Launcher : I used the v1.3.6 Standalone version with this eInk theme.
Calibre Sync : sync Nook with a Calibre PC, see the author site
Scan Media to refresh the list of books in the B&N Reader app.
Book button menu, to customize the book button.
LinkPush : send links to the Nook. The android application is not mandatory, just save this bookmark : http://linkpush.appspot.com/go.
APK-Info, to check the proprieties of an APK on Windows
Notes
Extended power menu : very long to boot on the 1st time
Best Android non-PDF Reader Apps for NST
Some RAM ameliorations
Usefuls ADB commands
Remount the system with Read-Write rights : mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/stl12 /system
See the actual CPU speed (BogoMIPS) : cat /proc/cpuinfo
Edits :
2015-01-21 : Update ADW and Extended Power Menu

Thank you for your support !
I tried to replace the framework.jar, but I was stuck in a boot-loop on the "Nook with dot" startup screen.
Maybe I did not replace the permissions (chmod 644), as I installed via CWM ?
I'll try maybe next time, but as I have not installed the CWM Recovery on the Nook, I fear the Reboot to Recovery button (as it does a factory reset, isn't it ?)
@TheChouffy, I'd recommend using ES File Explorer to copy/paste the framework.jar from the external sdcard (wherever you placed it) to /system/framework. You won't get a bootloop, I promise. Don't use CWM to install it - that just makes it harder!
Use the instructions here to install CWM as your default recovery. I can testify that if you install CWM on your Nook, the "Recovery" button will take you to CWM, and not an instant factory reset.

I retried to install the modded framework.jar and it worked ! It's just (much) longer to boot, so I don't know if I'm gonna keep it.
I did not installed CWM as recovery as I thought I'll lose the v166 Kernel but I mis-read the install script : the two can be present at the same time = :good:
BUT I don't know why, my Nook suddenly refuse to start after these modifications (while that worked before and I haven't changed anything) ... A partial restore of /boot and /system corrected that.
Anyway, thanks for your help ! (I'll try to read some books now )

It only takes a super long time to boot the first time you replace the framework.jar. After that, back to normal boot time. :good:

How to use: Using this tool is nothing more than a piece of cake! You will be stuffed with all info on screen and will only have to select from the numbers on the left, everything is automated in this tool and has no possibility of getting bricked (except Google bootlaoder relock if you do it by no knowledge)! I have tested everything on my LG E975 / OptimusG, everything seems to be working fine.

Please check the tool, it opens support pages if you go to credits menu!

Looks like an interesting project.
Just a thought, might be useful to list what the Tool does in post one and maybe change the Thread Title to include something more descriptive.
I think folk may miss this just because they're not sure what it actually does other than it's a "Tool".

Thanks a lot.
I downloaded the ZIP file.
How can I make it work?
Requeriments:
- Root and/or Unlocked Bootloader
Install:
TRY IT OUT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
1. Download version you want (attached)
2. Replace the stock apk located at /system/app/ or at /system/priv-app/ (new firmwares) by downloaded one (do not ask me how to do that)
3. Reboot
4. Done!
How to perform changes:
1. Run commands below in an adb shell terminal (copy, paste and hit enter):
Icon Size (change ** to a positive number, like 48)
Code:
settings put system xx_xperia_home_CUSTOM_ICON_SIZE [B][COLOR="Blue"]**[/COLOR][/B]
Text Size (change ** to a positive number, like 12)
Code:
settings put system xx_xperia_home_CUSTOM_TEXT_SIZE [B][COLOR="Blue"]**[/COLOR][/B]
- User values will always override Large and Small icon size
- Setting up 0 as value will reset to stock value!
Search/Suggestion Panel + Down Swipe Gesture (Desktop and App Drawer) (change ** to 0 to disable or 1 to enable)
Code:
settings put system xx_xperia_home_SUGGESTION_PANEL_ENABLED [B][COLOR="Blue"]**[/COLOR][/B]
Auto Hide Desktop Page Indicators (change ** to 1 to auto hide or 0 to always visible)
Code:
settings put system xx_xperia_home_DESKTOP_AUTO_HIDE_PAGE_INDICATORS [B][COLOR="Blue"]**[/COLOR][/B]
Auto Hide App Drawer Page Indicators (change ** to 1 to auto hide or 0 to always visible)
Code:
settings put system xx_xperia_home_APP_DRAWER_AUTO_HIDE_PAGE_INDICATORS [B][COLOR="Blue"]**[/COLOR][/B]
How to apply changes:
1. While at your home screen, run command below in an adb shell terminal (copy, paste and hit enter):
Code:
am broadcast -a xx_xperia_home_RECRIATE-ME
- You can also force stop Xperia Home (Settings > Apps > Xperia Home) or just reboot the device
FAQ:
- Did you edit any xml files? No, smali files only!
- Do I need this? No!
- Does this need root? I think so!
- What can I do if something goes wrong? Restore your backup!
- Will you add more features? No, but I will try to always keep this mod up to date, with latest Xperia Home version (releasing asap)
Xposed Framework:
When the Xposed Framework for Android N + is released (maybe it will be released someday), I will stop development here and close this thread!
Special thanks:
- Sony
- apkmirror.com
Enjoy it!
Changelog:

Anyway, I will continue to update this mod with new versions of xperia home, but this time only for me (I'll not share it anymore).

@whalesplaho you can decompile xperia home and edit it in res/values/bools.xml
Why make it my bro @serajr so hard if you know how apktool works

Moi bad brov.... Guess tha Eid il Fitri mood was all over den.
@serajr Hi, i've a question but don't know if it's more useful here or the other thread (the one cited below), because knowing that you've worked a long time on Xperia devices...
I tweaked my phone to hide navbar like this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/general/guide-hide-navigation-bar-status-bar-app-t3509747
So I was wondering if there was possibility of expanding Xperia Home and App Drawer down because like you see in the pictures below there is a "blank" space that i can't use. Any idea?
@serajr dnt know if yhu can make it work on LOS/CM roms.... Love dis mod!

Without xposed, no way! Ofc there's how to do that, but you need to play with SystemUI.apk too and sync both apk's code (a trully hell on earth with smali editing).
Anyway... Great job
