Does anyone know how to sync Facebook pictures to your contacts without having the official fb app? The official app is quiet frankly garbage and just a waste of space on my phone.

Is anyone able to sync your Facebook contacts with your Nexus S 4G using the Facebook android app?
I own both the EVO 3D and the Nexus S 4G. The EVO 3D does sync contacts using the Facebook android app. In the Nexus S 4G I don't even have the option within the Facebook app to choose sync.

For some reason the NS4G doesn't. Look for a free app in the market called Facebook Sync seems to work well.

Misconception evo syncs facebook through sense. Google cut it off since facebook doesn't allow exporting of info

Its only disabled on the nexus s unfortunately after the 2.3.3 update. It didn't on the nexus one I also tried the fb sync app n it didn't work for me after I gave it permission to through fb itself, never mind who needs fb anyway lol

They have... only profile links and birthdays at the moment. Depends on what a users needs are.

Ah, I'm on a custom ROM that has sync with Facebook, so I hadn't tested it out with friendcaster yet
I have both a galaxy nexus and a nexus 7 and neither one display my picasa photos in the gallery or my instant upload photos to Google+ . Is there anyway to get these to show up again?
Edit: I got it working on my nexus 7 but I can't get it to work on my gnex. Its almost like when my Google account syncs it skips right over Google photos. I have flashed different ROMs, and different gapps, nothing works.

HaxSync is hands down the best contact sync for facebook. It will let you pick how accurate names have to be (similar spelling or exact, and everything in between), cropping the face, if the picture they have is too big and all in HD (no low res pics). Also lets you sync facebook calendar and contacts birthdays into their contact card and their timeline statuses.

There's a LOOOOOOONG running issue between FB and Google over all of this...Google it for more info as it's too long to get into here!

Does these apps incorporate all those Facebook contacts into our phone's contacts which aren't there at present?
As in I have a number of Facebook contacts which aren't on my phone and i don't even want them to sync.... Just want the pictures of people in my phone through Facebook.

In HaxSync, there is a setting to only sync existing contacts, yes.

HaxSync was my app of choice but now I just added photos to my Google contacts as I'm not fussed if all the FB info is there

Ditto this. Plus, it is easy and quick to manually add/change a profile picture from FB to Google contacts. And this actually works better since on occasion some people insist on having a goofy @SS profile pic.

I am using Ubersync for facebook in my N4. It has imported all of my contacts but no phone numbers. How can i sync my facebook contacts with phone numbers to my Contact list. Normal sync thru the phone is also unsuccesful
Hello everyone. It's been quite some days (6 months or more) I have been using my g2. I used samsung galaxy S, previously.
The problem I am facing right now is that most of the contact photos in my phonebook is not HD. I have synced it from Google backup (since I backup-ed my contacts to my gmail using the Samsung galaxy S previously). So now, when I sync my contacts' photos from Facebook/whatsapp/viber etc., I see that not all are HD photos. What is the probable reason behind this and how may I have ALL hd contact photos ?
PS. I even used some 3rd party apps like Sync.Me. But it eats a lot of RAM and also it jumbles up the contact photos with the corresponding names... :crying: And, sync.me doesnt sync ALL the contact photos with HD photos. so, what should I do now?
