I am new around here so I apologize for any brake of rules I might be doing around here. You are welcomed to notify my about them
I just got a Geeksphone Peak. On the box it came with Firefox OS, of course. I had it for a few days and then flashed Android in there. I am not sure how, but it looks like Firefox OS is not there anymore, or I can't find it. Any idea how to flash Firefox OS again here so I can have both?
And another question, is there possible to have another version of Android, a lower one? I have Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich but probably the system would run faster in an older version of Android.

As far as I know, it is not officially supported to have dualboot. So you have Androd or Firefox OS. You can download the old images here: downloads.geeksphone.com (sorry I cannot post links because I am new user). But Geekpshone has dropped support of Peak so there is no current built. I am trying really hard to build it but so far no success.
As for the Android - where did you downloaded it? You would have to download old built which is not built anywhere - so you would have to build it yourself.

Someone might port it. I won't be one of those people. And it won't be bug free, that's for sure.

When it will be available ?
Hi all
I have the standard u8800 X5 and have managed to recover it after two weeks after bricking it quite properly. The question I have is that I am unable to get the official GB update to install correctly over the stock Froyo Rom.
I had the phone running on the official GB for a number of years unmodified without problems until I rooted the phone for the first time.
In an attempt to fix it I managed to remove the OS completely (I know I know). I have finally managed to recover the phone by flashing the stock 2.2.2 B138 rom. Next I attempted to upgrade to to the official 2.3.5 B526 I downloaded from the huawei site. Every time after it installed it boot looped. I would do a factory reset and the phone would work. At next restart it would have multiple error messages about processes unable to start and would reboot into a loop.
Eventually I flashed oxygen 2.3.7 over the froyo, which is stable.
I have root access and CWM 5.0.2.6 installed.
Please help as I would like to install a newer Rom like Aurora ICS or CM10, what do I need to do to get it right?

I'm using it already but can't install any app (which i downloaded from apkmirror and they are compatible to nougat) but i haven't encountered any other problems so far.

Hello everyone,
I have a hybrid tablet is the nextbook flexx 11. I installed the Phoenix OS successfully, but when booting to the OS, the screen is vertical display of the tablet rather than horizontally when the keyboard dock (both Remix OS It is very difficult to do). I tried the auto-rotate screen but failed, so still. I think it does not pick up the sensor. Please let me ask you how to fix this. Any help or comment received a sincere thanks from me.

run fast on my surface pro2 but need root access to install google application.
i just tried the rooted image from bbs.studiophoenix, didn't work for me but it could be meant for 64b, i did succed to get playstore to run after copying file from Remixos install. i do run Phoenix from an ext4 usb like all other x86 android distro on a atom 32b 1g mem.

Hi, anyone with webwiew problems ? it just keep crashing...with xdalabs and some others apps as well. i did update webwiew but nothing changed...
Edit: mybad, I did switch multiprocessor webview in developers tab, turning back solved
Read up on libhoudini. I think Nougat x86 has only partial support for it. This might be the cause of problems.
Phoenix 2 will most likely stay alpha/beta for a long time.
Hey Vioner, any word on if the Nexus 7 image will be updated to 2.0? or will it be left on 1.1? Absolutely love Phoenix as an Android ROM, the desktop interface is exactly what I was looking for in a tablet ROM. It's too bad that Canonical dropped Unity 8 and Ubuntu Touch (I understand UBports is to be picking it up and switching it to wayland) because other than Phoenix, UT was the only other ROM that have the experience I've been looking for, so it will be sad to see Phoenix drop support (though completely understood)

I've just asked Phoenix OS officials about this. We'll see what they'll say.
One thing is for sure. They base their ROMs on AOSP and AFAIK most recent branch for Nexus 7 is Marshmallow.
The reason why they released a Phoenix OS 2.0 preview build for Nexus 9 is because it has official Nougat support.
I also asked them if they plan to do any updates for Nexus 7. I'll let you know.

i'm planning to buy ZUK EDGE from Zuk Official Shop (http://www.zukmobile.cc/buy-zuk-mobile.html)
I'm just concerned about 2 things before my buying :
- Android 7.0 (for the multiwindow mode mainly)
- Multilanguage ROM (French language mostly)
I asked (and a lot of people too did) on the questions page but the people who are answering are once saying "multilanguage is available" and sometimes "just english & chinese".
They updated the sheet recently and it seems clear that Android 7.0 is preinstalled. But which build? They are unclear about it.
I did some researchs on the internet and i found that the most recent and stable build of Android 7.0 for ZUK EDGE is : ZUI 2.5.406
It is apparently bringing every features of Android 7.0, the ability to show "on-screen buttons" (back, menu, app view), and even multilanguage...
Do you have a link to download this 2.5.406 ROM for ZUK EDGE ? Does someone already have it / tried it ?

For what I have seen so far, you'll have to choose between ZUI 2.5 or multi languages. The custom rom are built on 2.3.
Only official rom is 2.5 (my phone came with 2.3 but there was an update ready for 2.5).
I try the 2 Italian rom mention in other post, there is French.
The CM have French too. I'm back on official 2.5,camera is a bit better.

With the OTA,of the update app of zui.
But if you're already rooted, that won't work, you'll need to use the qualcomm tool QTFIL I think, i found the tuto on zuk fan europe I'll try post the link later.

when i open "system Update", it just crashes. my phone goes to first screen.
my phone is Not rootet and bootloader is lock.

From memory it is the official zuk rom, so locked bootloader might work.
fyi, to open the port for qfil i struggle a bit, and once open you need to start the download very very quicly, less than a second....good luck with that.

yes. the original Rom have a lot of chinese apps but u can uninstall them easily

I purchased mine directly from zukmobile.cc and it came with Android 6.0 and no updater app or update option in settings. I flashed the latest ZUI from my previous post using this process and it worked perfectly:

Official? I think so anyway, see my post on the previous page. It has English on it you just have to select it manually in settings.

No, I just downloaded QPST and watched the video on mute. You can see everything he's doing.
Ok so i got the phone and it has Android 7.0 out the box! All is good with that. But i have an issue with "ok google" it is greyed out. Anyone?
Also i am trying to use Flixter movie app and it saying location not set, when i am inputting a postal coder it says i should be more specific, and when i put in a city it states the same. Anyone?! Any help would be appreciated.

No video appears; Dazn say this is because it needs a more up-to-date Android, but there is no official room available. I have been looking at the Resurrection Remix option but I am worried about bricking the device.
My principal worry is about (1) root and (2) the bootloader.
I obtained root long ago using the standard Meizu supplied system, but since then the option to unroot has disappeared. The phone is, effectively, rooted. How should I handle the business of the bootloader to get TWRP? Also, how can I backup my entire current official Rom in case something goes wrong.
Again, please excuse such a long post.

Latest release is 7.2.0.0
But the Chinese version which has its own problems unfortunately.
I used it know for a while but overall I think the latest global is still the better bet.

Could you share how you installed the google apps and how did you get them running properly? I still have issues with account management and in genereal many google apps (maps, chrome) do not run well.
Also I have memory issues so that when writing e.g. the keyboard crashes and even chrome itself crashes regularly. My guess was some memory issue that leads to ending apps.

Very simple man. I've got NO ISSUES AT ALL, simply:
* full wipe ( Dalvik / Cache / Data / System ) with TWRP
* flashing with TWRP the Flyme 7 rom
* flashing with TWRP the Open Gapps, Pico Version, 64 Bit
I am on Flyme 6.3.0.0G. I can install the 7.2.0.0 ? Where can I find him ? Thank you

If your french, don't change ROOM.
7.2.0.0 is fully bugged and not for french. => http://forum.flymeos.com/forum-28-1.html
Flyme 7.2.0.0 goes very badly.Back to 6.3.0.0G. What custom rom for Pro 5 do you use ?
I've rarely used my Meizu Pro 5 in these last months but I'm using 7.2.0.0 since January without problems.
In Italian, forced language of course :good: Only Settings remain in English.
