I just tried the new x-ui posted by coderzs. Here is the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098193
Unfortunately, it seems the camera app is missing. I have done a full wipe before flashing the rom. Anyone has some idea?
It seems like a clean fast rom that I would be sticking with if the issue can be fixed. Thanks in advance!

Not sure how i did this but after installing GenerationX rom my camera stopped working...ive tried almost everything that i know like trying different roms, doing a restore backup in rom manager, pulling the battery..sim and memory card and it still forces close. if anyone could help me i would GREATLY appreciate it <3 thank you!
Sounds like a hardware issue.

What other roms did you try out that the front and rear cameras arent working on?
Do a full wipe and either reflash the ROM or flash another ROM.
I would suggest to just flash the latest CM7 nightly.
What other Roms have you tried. Are you possibly using the wrong kernel type for your Rom?
I agree with mackster, the easiest/best thing to do would do a FULL wipe and flash another rom, or redownload that rom and try to reflash it. (after a full wipe of course)
Edit: Lots of Rom choices listed in the link in my sig ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

Are you having these problems with your ffc before or after restoring your apps (either by googles auto restore or via titanium or mybackup)?

I didnt even bother restoring my apps because i wasnt sure if i had to do a restore again, i tried qik and the stock camera app, but im also thinking that the wallpaper and theme is doin some funny stuff too like not changing when i switch to new roms...i just put the royal ginger rom on it and i have a wallpaper and theme from like 2 roms ago...so idk im all confused :/
this is all i know...i had the generation x v4 rom on my phone and it was working just fine, then i seen that generationx had a new version so i flashed that...thats when it all started...and since then ive tried to revert to tha rom that was working fine and its not fixing it
Hi Guys, I have serched the forums for my specific problem but came up short... trying this for seconds...
I have a HD2 wich I've installed NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.6 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r3.4)
I have followed every step and everything works fine, EXCEPT the camera.
The camera app never fully loads and just stops responding with the screen going black as the only result.
"camera not responding, do you want to shut down? cancel or yes"
any tips?
I'm new to this forum so Im not sure what other info I should provide, so here goes.
Version 4.0.4
BaseBand 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14
Kernel 2.6.32-ICS_tytung_HWA_r3.4
Mem 420Mb
(The camea works just fine with WP7, WP7.5, Windows Mobile orig)
Help would be much appreciated

Just wanted to add that the phone is a EURO international HTC HD2
So noone can help?
Do I have to reinstall everything and hope for the best? Or have i got a broken device??
easiest wat out of problem is to instal different camera app,try cameraZOOM works fine on my hd2 running on same rom but 2.4
or reinstall rom again.
this should realy be posted in the correct thread, you would probably get more accurate
answers from folk running the same rom.
hope this helps.

Ok, I'll try the app approach... I'll reinstalled the orig ROM oand camera works, I installed a GB ROM and the camera works. I REINSTALLED this ROM and camera works up untill the point of where i actually take a pic - then the camera app shuts down... video seems to work..
I cannot post in the ROM thread - because of forum rules...
Thanks for the tip though - I shall try it.

No doesn't really matter what cameraapp I install, the camera shuts down right after shutter (when the pic is written to storage)
with the message "sorry the camera app had to shut down"
Seem to be the GB approach I'll have to go with...

So I went and tried this ROM:
PARANOIDANDROID HD2 v1.5b [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9][A2SD][tytung_HWA_r3.2]
And everything works... how weird - because it seems to be the same kernel?? apart from HWA_r3.2 in this ROM and 3.4 in the ROM that doesn't work... for me it's a headscratcher - I mean I really want the "NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.6 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r3.4)" but maybe with the 3.2 kernel instead...
how to go about and get that one??
For me everything works just fine. Same ROM same device

I kinda realized that it's not neccesarily the ROM but mor with the Kernel.. I'm trying som different ROMs and different kernels, and the result varies...
Kernel: 2.6.32-ics_tytung_HWA_r3.2
ROM: LeoKing 2.3.6
Camera works but batterydrain is a *****... and endomondo stops working...
will try the PARANOIDANDROID HD2 v1.5b [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9][A2SD][tytung_HWA_r3.2] but flash a different kernel instead of the tytung one!!
I do realize that the phone will never work as good as with a winmobile original RUU.
Hey try out the new version from tytung. Works like a charm.

I will... Need to wipe first or just install ontop the v2.6??
I got the 2.6 version working like a effin charm.. now I'm afraid to install something over that...

What I mean is that I have got the NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.6 working - don't know what I did different to maki the camera work, but it did... so I'm laughing.. But now I'm worried that I'll screw it up by installing a v2.7 ontop.. or wiping and installing...
Hey guys ! :victory:
I'm on this ROM using my I9505 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272 (4.3 Google Edition custom) ; and I have a small problem : my camera app doesn't even try to focus at all, and take sometime to launch
I've tried to erase its data and to launch it again but same problem :s
So, is it caused by the ROM, or is it possible to fix this problem in any way ? (My device is rooted, and I can use Titanium Backup if necessary)
Thank's for helping ! :good:
ps : It'd be cool if I hadn't to flash the whole thing again. I already have configured so much things

Has anyone any other suggestion pleeease ?
Is the lense clean? Make a backup of current Rom and flash a stock TW Rom to test the camera hardware. If it works on TW then it's your current rom and you need to either change or full wipe and start again.

might be hardware problem, last time I had a faulty i9500, exactly same problem as yours, no focusing at all. I sent it back for a new one.
They say it's problem related to loose connection or sth.
Hello to all!
I just flashed Hyperion 8 GM, it went smoothly and everything looks so nice. Congrats to the developers, you did a fine job! I do have a problem, though: the camera does not work. In the original camera app I get the ErrorHandle message, and 3rd party apps just don't see the camera or cannot connect to it. I need help, please!
I am considering flashing Hyperion again, do you think it's a good idea? Or, if a kernel change is required (I have now the one which came with Hyperion), can you please guide me through the steps? Thank you very much!
andrei
I thinK it may be Cam Drivers Problem .
Reinstall Camera App nd drivers Or LiBs.
In Dialler Type This *#0*# nd select there Camera . If that works then its not a Driver Prob . Its a App Problem.

Thanks for the reply! I tried what you suggested, but I just got the message "Warning: Camera failed" and it sent me to the home screen. How can I reinstall just the camera app?

Reinstalling camera app doesn't make it work.
This seems to be a driver problem.
Reflash the kernel and if possible, reinstall the rom also and check again if it works.
Follow the procedure and install.
It works for everyone and so it must work fo you too
Press thanks if I have helped.

I have reflashed Hyperion, but the problem is still there. How can I make it work?
1st of all flash the stock rom via odin n notice whether your camera works or not.....then flash the Hyp8..
All,
as of CM-11-20140520 (and later) I have experienced that autorotate does not work anymore.
After installing up to CM-11-20140523 stil no luck!
I have now gone back to cm-11-20140504-SNAPSHOT-M6-find5.zip and autorotate works again!
Anyone else with this problem?
Bert
Oppo Find 5
modem-4.2.zip
cm-11-20140504-SNAPSHOT-M6-find5.zip
gapps-kk-20140105-signed.zip
Exact same issue here. Still not fixed in latest nightly. Went back to snapshot and working again.
Someone over on Oppo forums discovered a soft reboot using xposed brings the sensors back until the next full reboot. Still the builds are broken, but if you're really desperate to use them...
Circumvention with xposed works

Thanks for the info batwingnz!
I can confirm that this circumvents the problem.I tested it with cm-11-20140528-NIGHTLY-find5.zip.
However, the rom is still broken.
Hope the developers pick this up!
