Is there an app that allows us to choose who to receive calls from only during the night?
I saw it on the latest iPhone 5 commercial.

There is an app called "I'm sleeping" Plenty of options though.
Purchase app but, flawless. Have been using it since it came out.

No app necessary. Set custom ring tones for your important callers, and then set your phone ring tone to silent when you do not want to be disturbed by others.

Hi there,
Does anyone know how to make the atrix vibrate on call connect and call end?
My old Nexus S did and I like the feature.

"Callend Vibrate" is one choice.
Joe
Touch pro 2 had it too, liked it it also.

Try callVibrate (novaeye) from the market, is the best one for me so far, vibration on answer and end call.

Thanks guys...
I found that callvibrate worked best for me.

You're welcome.

I use Vibralert, its a root app, and offers customizable vibrations on: outgoing answered, incoming answered, outgoing failed & active ended. as well as an in call alerts option.

I've been using +11 for the past 6 months.
Not really surprising, when you overdrive the internal speaker.
I've been using +10 forever. Guess it just depends on your device.
Must be depending on phone.but be careful guys.6 is quite loud and I am happy.

Doesn't the app give a big warning about this already?

i find it gets to a certain level then will default back down and go up and round again
On which phone?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-6
if i set it too high occasionally the volume will suddenly go extremely low. (ie: if i set it at 20, sometimes it'll sound like its set at -20...) especially annoying when i cant hear an incoming call.
happens if i set it too high, so i've left it at 6 for a while now and all seems well

I've always had it on +4. Anything higher and the sound starts skipping and getting distorted.
Apologies for this simple question, as I have tried searching everywhere.. While on a call, I don't hear when texts come in using the stock messaging app and also Whatsapp.. Am I missing a setting somewhere?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
This is a good question as my girlfriend just yelled at me beside I didn't answer or call her back. Didn't hear the call or text while I was on the phone.

Good question.....
Anyone? This is my first Nexus device, so I honestly have no idea..

Why would they put that in the first place? It would interrupt the call, If you want you could just check your notifications afterwards.

Well, every smartphone I've previously used (including the att Galaxy S2) would sound off a notification and that way it was easy to check if the message was important and place the phone on speaker while responding.. Our phones can multitask for a reason..
But it's always been available as an option on my previous phones that could easily be disabled for those who prefer no interruptions.

Anyone?

there is call waiting. just go to the dialer and hit setting on the bottom right and then scroll down to additional settings. as for text im not sure.
the speaking 'answer' out loud feature isn't working for me..
it's turned on in my s voice, and features like 'cheese' to take a picture ARE working.. so what gives?
anyone know what might cause this?

do you mean when you ask "s-voice" the answer is not spoken?
try to hit the little face next to the mic, this will activate voice prompt.

Different issue but sort of related, for me the alarm snooze doesn't work. I tell it "snooze" but it keeps going. Maybe it knows I'm still half asleep

Why yes I do....seeing how I was just clearing up what was being discussed as people were confused and how I don't actually use s-voice I figured why turn on the option just for a screen shot.

Specifically something that emulates the ability to 'open' a head and reply without entering the app.
I've had Floating Notifications for a little bit on my phone and it's just not what I'm looking for. I also used to use SMS Popup years ago which was quite good but I'd rather something less obtrusive that lets me chose when to see the popup rather than it just appearing and interrupting whatever I'm doing.
Is there anything out there like this? I'm sure I head of something when they first added it to FB Messenger but I can't seem to find anything.
EDIT: I've just installed SMS Extension but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for.
