Can someone tell me what is the purpose of custom kernel, will it overwrite the stock froyo/GB kernel if flashed. If so then how to revert back to stock froyo/GB kernel.
The purpose of a custom kernel is to get better performance/features as compared to the stock kernel
Custom kernel does not replace stock kernel

Hi guys
I rooted my phone and have flashed TWRP and I was wondering if I can flash franco kernel on my stock 4.2.2, and what file should I download form the topic because I'm coming from galaxy wonder and I'M used to .zip files and CWM.
And if there is good individual mods for stock ROM instead of flashing whole new one . Thanks ahead

What kernel do you recommend to keep all features of stock working, increase performances and have more features. I dont want to flash new Rom until 4.3 is out. Is there any way I can download my stock kernel in case?
Ps I have recovery install already
Thank you

I have a Note 4 910f eur version with cm12 custom rom lollipop 5.0.2. When i try to flash any of the avalible kernels for my note 4 version i always get boot loop on the samsung logo. (I do wipe dalvik and cache before flashing) My question is, what is wrong and how i can fix this?? The main reason i want to install a custom kernel is overclocking.
That custom kernel must be stock based.CM has its own kernel & I don't think there are custom kernels for cm

Do you know if it is possible to overclock on cm12s own kernel?
Are there any custom Kernels? I can't seem to find any.
There are two. One for stock ROM, the other for AOSP. They are in the original development section I believe.
