I found this looking for a mini PC to use on my TV
http://www.geekbuying.com/item/iMit...rtex-A9-1GB-RAM-8G-ROM-HDMI-Black-312720.html
I think its a good deal. Do these offer 1080p Netflix like the ps3? I want to replace my ps3 as a media device and hopefully this will fill my needs

Seems amazing. I would get it if I didn't use my xbox for media. I like how it receives updates.

It says it has the Mali 400gpu I think the same as the galaxy s2. In the quadrant scores from YouTube videos it was next to the galaxy nexus and galaxy s3. I'm also looking for a remote for it such as the q7 remote here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39ZhMSoeHuA&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Yeah this is not going to do wireless streaming from an Android device.
No but the media link hd adapter made by htc does :–)

The description says it can connect via DLNA. So if your phone has it, then you can stream from device

For $200 you get a tablet with pure andriod, great display, prefect form factor, fast updates, great dev support (if you plan on rooting), great for gaming ect. I got this after I passed my Galaxy Tab 10.1, and never looked back.

I absolutely love my n7. Perfect size, great CPU, great GPU, android freedom, and many other reasons.

The deciding factors for me were the price, the "pure android" experience, and the ability to easily unlock/root the device. If any of those appeal to you, then how could you go wrong? Not to mention what the others have said, great gaming, great display, etc, etc...
Yes i would root it before i installed an app Lol..and your right.. So i guess I will be getting me a 32 gig nexus 7 today.. None of the stores around here have the 200 dollar one so 250 is still reasonable.. Are they still doing the 20 dollar play store card or whatever?

So I was having a look at Ubuntu being released for android devices..
It was just mind blowing that i got so excited whether our devices will get it or not..
What do you guys think?
Is there any hope to get Ubuntu running on our devices?
Hope so
Verstuurd van mijn GT-I9000 met Tapatalk
I'm sure, Ubuntu will be able on our phone. Even Android 4.2.1 was ported, Ubuntu needs the same drivers. So, why not?
do we have that dock and hdmi output support on our mobile?
I doubt the Galaxy S will get it officially, but someone could port it.

We will get it

The I9000 sadly doesn't support HDMI output, so that can't happen.
Well, there has been some discussion whether or not the phone hardware is capable of it, but I think that too was shelved...
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
also think our phone wont get it officalialy it was said something about dual core need or smthing,
but it look slick and cool. Even worth of buying new phone for this ^^
I personally think a single 1ghz core is enough to run ubuntu.
but the hdmi output is the only problem..
And @omegavesko
I'm damn sure we're not going to get it officially
Ubuntu phone OS looks promising and i love ubuntu ui looks better than android ui.. Couldn't wait to see...

There's Ubuntu for tablets, why not for sgs1? Just a good developer to port it is needed.
There's USB-hdmi-adapters for our beloved sgs1, so thats not the problem
I saw Ubuntu on tablets and it looks really good.
Hope ram and CPU is enough

On Ubuntu page, they write that the phone needs at least 512Mb RAM and a 1Ghz CPU...just what we have.

Have you actually seen those adapters in action? The rumor that we could use them was started by Samsung adding the item to the i9000 accessories page along with some bogus claim by a Samsung representative we would get to use it... Truth is our hardware doesn't support HDMI output.

All these devices have custom roms that are already rooted and tweaked.
You also get Rockchip apps & apps on xda forum that can root these devices.

You plug a normal computer mouse and keyboard into it.
You can buy a usb hub to have more usb ports.
You can also buy a Mele F10 Fly Mouse or something similar, it's a wireless remote that moves the mouse on the screen and on the other side of the remote is a keyboard.

No you don't. Why do I have to keep hearing this all the time? You don't need a 4k display to appreciate the goodness of the 4k video, because it's not displayed in it's full glory. Have you ever watched it downscaled in a 2560x1440 monitor? Or even a 1080p monitor and TV(ok TV not so much because of those ugly filters)?
Do it and then compare it to a 1080p video to see what I am talking about.
4k video is simply amazing and you can take advantage of its goodness today not tomorrow. The only downfall is the slow focus and the 30fps.
But hey. I don't see any other non dedicated device at that price being able to do it let alone a mobile.
Don't want to step on any toes but I'm not really thrilled about this so early on with this phone. Maybe 6 months down the road I'll get bored with touchwiz and flash cm. To many features to lose atm.
