I used to have problems on Windows 7 x64, but on Ultimate version didn't get any so far

I posted about this update a week ago but my post was moved and then I was cautioned and given points for posting it again.

Was it not supposed to come out on the 27th of march?

I haven't used kies since the early days of the S1. Odin & cwm recovery/titanium are all I need.

Indeed. Yesterday a new Italian firmware came out and it required kies update. I know you are thrilled but no. it is still 2.3.6.

OTA the hope was that by ICS release all updates would be pushed out together by manufacturer and not having to wait for networks to update months later also that all updates would be OTA valid as well .At least thats what Google wanted .
So we wait and see .

I saw jelly bean official and got excited x_x anyway if all goes well then yes this Wednesday unless they didn't fix the bugs of course then they will delay it more..

Lol, confirmed? Sure if you call one website quoting the other confirmation

Fact if it does indeed start its roll-out on xx day that does not mean you will get the update that day or even that week or month come to that .
Roll-out is usually on an area basis to start with .
Phone vendors will not push out the update until they have checked it and modified as they want .
Actually that should not be a problem for any XDA member as we don't use Kies or OTA updates or vendor supplied firmware .

hell it doesnt matter who gets it first, we can all flash who ever gets it. I am definitely looking forward to the day i get it and my wifes iPhone gets the ios6 update because she will see why google is more important. No Gmaps, or Youtube haha!

Lh7 seems about 99% finished to me. Even if it doesn't come for another two weeks let's be grateful that jellybean is so close for us. I don't see any jellybean leaks being posted over at the one x forums.

I still think that they should test it quite thoroughly before releasing it. Much longer than 2 days. More like test it for two months.No rush, HTC seems to be nowhere close and even if they were, them releasing it first won't change much.

They mean you should have 4.04 ICS out of the sealed box when you purchased your Galaxy note 10.1. Maybe you have a galaxy tab, a chinese clone, or you had a intentionally downgraded second hand device.

You are either extremely high or in the wrong forum. Bought my GNote 10.1 already on ICS and at 4.04. :cyclops:

Hehehe the dude wasn't using it for a while, out of the loop.. In his defence I did find an update as soon as I got my 10.1 online even though it was already pre-installed to 4.0.4.
I just assumed it was just a miner Samsung update to fix/edit/add features/bugs since they do that.
I've experienced that with my s2, s3, 10.1a and gn2.

Ok someone's gotta put the OP out of his misery and explain why we are making fun of him.
To add to what Z a p i x already said, the "update" he received did not give him Ice Cream Sandwich, nor Android 4.x. His device was already on Ice Cream Sandwich out of the factory. The update would have just been a minor update.

So typical of XDA. Someone trolls you or turns out to be a noob, you take the bait and before you know it there are 2 pages of responses, all of them irrelevant.

Thinking about making it available for Omega users only when I get the time.....what do you think. I could make it stock look and non-transparrent also so the toggles would just be at the bottom....but also like mine and maybe have some other flashable images too!
I think it looks pretty cool imo........................

That looks sick mate... You should definitely make it a mod in your theme-thread... And while ad it.. I think you should combine those 2 great themes into 1 thread so people see both of your great work at 1 place...

Thanks man.......It is still very much a work in progress as I would like to do this without the need to replace the SystemUI.apk.....so I am messing around with VRTheme to just replace the necessary .xml's, resources, etc and I also want to change the colour of the text so it is a little more clear. And this involves messing around with .xml in the framework-res.apk also..........not too difficult but time consuming.:crying:

Hello all.
I am new here in this forum but I like this Omega rom and I can't wait to try v24.
marcjuh I think if this theme is on top of the main page on Omega Rom people will notice it and will not spam on the main thread.
I have a question.
I am now with LSW firmwere 4.1.2 with HiroX 5.8 Medium kernel.
Can I install omega v24 when it is out directly or I have to do something else before that?

So I really like v23. There are 2 things that bug me coming from cm10.1. Not showstoppers just it just bugs me
I like the cool colorful settings menu, but the bigger size bugs me....
The other one is the toggles, I wish I could change the color or something...
Will v24 be different in these areas or are there other ways to change these?

Hi
For the toggles... Just go in def-thread and hit searchbutton enter toggles and you'll find lots of them..
Ore you could try themes... Like carlm his 2 beautiful themes, carotix his themes ore look in omega filles /themes...
You also can adjust the letterstyle and size look in settings ore dl a letterstyle from playstore and set letters smaller...
You can adjust the dpi in root.. But that can cause problems with some apps and so..
For flashing the rom over another kernel... Its been proven some time back that before flashing the rom..
*use kernel-wipe
*use romewipe
* wipe cach
*wipe dalvic
*flash philsz kernel cuz omega is build on that kernel...
*reboot in recovery
*flash rom with full wipe
-after install dont reboot just hit back button untill you return in cmw and fix permissions in advance menu....

Happily waiting for omega v24. Any change log available yet? I know it was being reserved for indee to post but perhaps now it is in beta he's put it somewhere for public consumption?

As soon as my thinkpad gets its parts, I'll look into software development of the Z5 E6653 for personal use, and I'll also document it and post it here. I hope I'll be one of the major devs of AOSP Nougat custom ROM for the Z5.

Guys, how do I open Xperia Care? Can't remember I removed some system apps that I don't needed but I don't remember deleting this one..
Nevermind I freezed Support apk, because I got a sticky notification to uodate my phone to latest fw .305 so thats why.
Anyway I just unfreezed it to check this out and it's true! I'm so excited! Do you know when will this update comes out?

It is planned for december for the z5 series on the roadmap.
