Help regardin Jade!!

Hi, I recently switched frm Orbit to HtC Jade. It was Network locked with orange, so I unlocked it and m using it with a different SIM. The prob is that for activating Wifi there is a thing called unique service. When I activate it, it detects my Wifi connection but whenever I perform internet related tasks it uses my GPRS connection. I deleted the GPRS settings to test the Wifi, but it fails.. what shud I do?
Another prob, apps like Heybell dictionary and TCPMP player not running. error comes .Net framework compact shub e installed but when I downloaded one frm the website and installed it on my storage card, message came newer version installed.!! what shud be done??

This is a known problem of the orange-branded phones.
To solve it you have to flash a different ROM.

anyother option?? Can I try the upgraded OS which is on site currently.. HTC is not considerin my phone for upgrade when i put the serial no. at their site.. y?

There is no difference between flashing ROM an upgrading OS because the upgrade of the OS is also done by flashing it.

[Q] network connection doesn't work..hlp

hi, i have the hd2, and the network that i'm connecting to in israel is "pelephone"
in 'newpan' site the official suplliar of htc, ther is a fix to internet connection to the hd2 on pelephone network... and it working fine..
but when i install android on the phone... the internet connection doesnt work, and when i'm changing the sim card to a difrent network. it does work.
is there a chance to make one for the andriod ver?
i'll upload the cab fix if you think its possible

MFG application: full access (reg, tethering, dev menu, diag menu)

Hey,
You can have an access to reg, tethering, diag menu, dev menu, etc on lg optimus 7
For this you must install the MFG application:
- in call menu enter ##634# and press call button
Wait few sec until 3min during the MFG installation
- in the application menu use MFG and enter the password: 277634#*# and press enter

How can we get internet connection sharing? So we can tether and not have to dial up and have stupid $melus charge us?

Wow, I was able to turn my PDC VodaPhone UK LG-E900 version into an ATT version. I'm now getting the sweet "H" in the top. It also is downloading at 4 mbps via on the phone now! Verified via testmy.net.

For those who are curious.
To turn this into an AT&T Phone:
Once in the MFG Menu...
1. click 7 for Engineer Settings.
2. then click 6 for Other Settings.
3. Select Set Network Profiles.
Find "_PROV_ATT_US_310_410.xml"
Select that one. Back out of the menus and reboot the phone.
It will now even say ATT in the marketplace.

4. Find your right operator's code here = http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_Network_Code
5. click FIND.
Find "_PROV_H3G_IT_222_99.xml" (if you are in Italy )
Select that one. Back out of the menus and reboot the phone.

this question is about vodafone germany with LG E900 Optimus 7 (bought Jan. 17th 2011)
I've tried mfg USB Switching. This works fine.
I've installed LG USB Drivers.
But wenn trying to establish a modem connection under win 7 I receive variuos error messages and no connection has been established.
Any secrets?
Any Login name or password.
Correct Dial-in *99#?
My contract definitely allows tethering.

[Q] Internet Sharing after Update 8107

Hi guys,
after i updated my unlocked phone to 8107 i wasn't able to use internet sharing...
i was able to use 3g and wifi, but everytime i tried to use internet sharing, my phone told me that i don't have any data connection for using internet sharing... i retried all the steps for using internet sharing but it didn't change anythin.
does anyone of you have an idea what i should do?

yes same here...and the 3g regedit not work anymore...i think they have change things in the new firmware...any solutions 4 this??

Use a registry editor (like WP7 Root Tools)
Go to Local Machine -> Software -> Microsoft -> Connectivity -> CellularCPL
Change the value of ShowConnectionSpeedOption from 0 to 1 and save. Now an option to switch to turn of 3G and switch to E should be in your Mobile Network settings.

i followed the instructions... when i change the value to 20 (it was 32) i tells me that IS is not usable and when i change it to 5 it tells me again that i doesn't have any data connection for using internet sharing.

I have read that those who had problems with internet sharing after 8107 update has solved so....but now i think the problem could be in the new firmware

i know that most of them wrote it but i don't know what to do...
here are the informations of my phone
Software: 7.10.8107.79
Firmware: 2424.11.11.2
Radio: 2424.11.9.1
Bootloader: 5.11.1.8

worked for me. "20" (hexadecimal) correlates to "32" (decimal) by the way...

I understood where the problem is but no one was able to help me...
I tried every value data from 1 to 32 and no one worked...

I got it!
I made a downgrade, then installed File Deployer, made an upgrade to 8107 again, *#9908# ind diagnosis, chose windowbreak and changed the value of userprocgroup to 5 and than it finally worked!

software radio: 2424.11.12.1
hardware radio: 0.0.0.800
bootloader: 5.12.29.0
processor SOC: 0.74.2.1
I interop unlocked before getting the update to 8107.
I tried this guide:

but it wont work on my phone.
If you have time, could you explain me how to enable ICS on it? I am not able to fully understand your solution.

it's pdaimatejam 8.6. I can send and recieve sms but not mms.. internet works I can download from marketplace but can't recieve or send mms

manually add APN data for your operator in cellular setting

Thats added. I have internet and data connection I just can't recieve or send mms.

i just tried all with new fresh Pdaimatejam ROM and all working... Nokia Network Setup, also HTC Connection Setup, MMS...
and why you use 8.6? use last 8.7

I was having trouble with internet on 8.7 and rapidshare is blocked for me. So I can"t download the the 3g cab fix. If I am reading this right you put a newer version 8.7 up.
