[Q] MTP USB problem with Win7 64bit - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Sorry for my bad English...
I am Win7 64bit user, and I got my nexus 4 finally
Because I am upgraded from HTC Desire, and all the things (Driver) will automatically install to my computer.
But I don't know why the nexus 4 cannot install MTP driver sucessfully...
I have tried to download the MTP driver from microsoft
After installation, restarted computer, plug my nexus through USB, not work....:crying:
I have tried to find official driver on LG website...not found...
Could anyone help me...:crying:

Thanks for your help efan! I have seen this tool kit! I though this kit is used only in root, or flashing things...
So that means... No official nexus 4 driver is worked on win7 64bit? Do you know I am the only case or some other users are also happened?
Thanks:good:

I am updating my windows....and what do you means of compatible driver? Microsoft MTP driver?

Hi all xdadeveloper,
Now I update my situation...
I have follow and done twice with the instruction of Wug's Nexus root toolkit, however, its still cannot access to my nexus 4 disk...
And I have updated my window to most up-to-date, and even try to installl MTP driver which downloaded from Microsoft...Not worked too...
Could any one help me:crying:
Should I factory reset my laptop? Is it a good choice for me...?

I have tried to plug my nexus 4 to my friend computer (Win7 64bit), it is successfully connected and disk shown, MTP driver successfully installed and worked.
So...I probably need a factory reset for my laptop...OR is there any method to extract the MTP file from my friend PC and transfer them into my PC...? Is it possible...?

USB Modem Drivers Aren't Working After Cyanogen Flash

My USB drivers were working correctly on the stock image. Then I flashed to Cyanogenmod 7. My Windows XP machine is looking for drivers for "Fascinate" but it won't find any. I tried reinstalling the drivers, rebooting the machine, tried to find the drivers manually. What's next?
I've read other places and they all say to load nexus drivers

Drivers for Unlockk and Root

I've gotten a new nexus 7 in the mail today and the first thing that I tried to do was unlock the bootloader and root the device to flash custom kernel and ROM. but i ran into a problem in the first step. Im having no luck with the drivers at all. i have searched and tried everything. I have tried this 1.5.2 toolkit and watched the video. In the section that i have to go to device manager and manually install the drivers, i didnt get anything. i downloaded the driver from asus themselves and it worked (pictured below) but when i try to use adb commands, nothing happens. I also installed the 64 bit drivers and it gives me the same thing as the picture and when i run the toolkit, it doesnt find adb. Can anyone help out please? and yes, i have enabled usb debugging, just in case you wonder.
What OS are you using?
When you plug the Nexus in the USB port does anything happen?
Have you rebooted the workstation?
4.1.1 jellybean. I've rebooted several times. When I plug it into the computer, my computer makes the regular "New device" sound and then it searches for the nexus driver but cannot find it. The tablet shows debugging connected.

You have a workstation with JellyBean on it? I'm guessing it is a Win box perhaps right? Have you rebooted it?
I just unlocked and rooted today. I downloaded and installed the drivers from the PDAnet website. Everything worked fine. Hope this Info helps you get you unlocked and rooted

Yeah, just download the driver package you need for your laptop and install them. The .exe is more like a setup/installation wizard for the drivers.

[Q] Soft Bricked Nexus 7 can't install proper fastboot drivers

My N7 is soft bricked. I was installing a ROM but the file was corrupted. I can't perform a nandroid restore because I can't get into recovery. I'd push a new recovery via adb but my computer won't recognize my N7 in fastboot. I've tried installing Universal naked drivers 0.72 manually but it oesn't work. What else can I do?
There was no need to open a new thread... And you still haven't told us what os your computer has. Anyway, I personally use the official drivers from the Asus website.
