CM10 Phone contacts load slowly sometimes - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I have been join this forum for a month. You guys are amazing, I got all my answers from yours.
As my topic name, My defy plus is running with Cm10 Quarx build Nov-02. Sometimes it take over 7s for launching and loading the contact list after I hit the phone icon. I tried with many builds but this problem still exist. Actually, as I noticed, it doesn't happen if my defy plus run on Gb room.
Is this known problem on Cm10 build? Do we have solution for this cause I tried with Oc, V6Supercharger on my defy.
Thanks.

[Q] stable gingerbread ROM

What is the most stable Gingerbread ROM for the Vibrant that is suitable for everyday use?
I've looked at CM7 but I saw a post that said it was an experimental ROM and full of bugs. Is that true?
Thank you
I am on CM7 build 56 and after some tweaking (GPS fix, build.prop edits), it runs great with good battery life, and I found everything I needed in the dev. forum.
Same. I'm on CM7 build 56. GPS fix + recent battery drain fix = awesome, Fusion-quality rom
BTW what those build.prop edits are ? Haven't heard of them, can anyone pls send a link ?

Thank you! I tried that already but I don't get force closed
I didn't get either.
Have just played with different options then have turned radio off/on and that helped.
most stable asgard ----cm7 miui (in case if vibrant) nothing stable ///
Asgard by a long mile. I'd run it now if it weren't for the blurry MMS that most (all?) GB roms have.

I thought there was an official Gingerbread roll-out in mid-April for the Nordic countries. Has anyone made a ROM based on that?
Juwe's port is the best for me. Tried Revolution and Malice and all were exhibiting same problems. The Juwe 5.1 is blazing fast yet to encounter any lag what so ever no hang up bug. However it does experience occasional soft re-boot and that could be due to TW Luncher issues also I have seen where my radio for voice and data would stop but reboot fix it.
Revolutionary rom is much more stable than cm with battery life that can rival most froyo roms. its also hardware accelerated (wich means way more smooth than cm7 and is capable of playing 720p flash videos on the web ).
miui
flash the official miui rom and then miui energy 7.1 with working gps.
then edit the build prop and calibrate battery
Trigger redux with the glitch kernal.
Why isnt 800 ppl posting this?

energy 7.1 for me has been awesome with a few tweaks. I just cant get over how cool miui is!
MALICE 4.1.1 jvq is fast stable and locks gps in 10-15 secs

Issues w/MIUI

Finally got my MIUI rom working perfectly & saving battery life. All the sudden it starts buggn out...Random freezes, reboots, lagginess...What is the deal?? I noticed when I reboot the phone it fixs the issue but why all the sudden when I didnt change much?
Im using no frills CPU controller could it be that my min is at 128 which is causing the issues? Also whenever I go over 998 it gets really buggy...??

I don't know about CPU tweaks, but Miui takes awhile to settle in. First thing I do after an install is reboot then be patient for a couple days.
Yeah. Agreed. I usually do about 5 reboots, just in the flash/setup process to help it settle in faster. Check out my guide, man. Maybe you're missing something in how you do it and that's why you're having those problems.
Where can i get latest MIUI?

You don't want the latest MIUI. It has issues. You want 1.12.9. There's a link in the MIUI thread

HipKat, what's the probability of the "issues" you mentioned in the latest versions of MIUI being fixed in the highly anticipated MIUI v4? Further more, what's the latest news on the development of MIUI v4?
My friend, I'm just a user of the ROM, like you. I wish I had those answers
I've been having problems with miui ever since I installed dtapps2sd...sometimes my programs would just stopped opening completely then I would have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work again
I've been running miui forever w/ darktremour a2sd & firerat's. Have had literally 0 issues on 1.12.9

Bump anyone alive in these forums?
There is a new version of MIUI 2.2.17. Give this version a try you won't be sorry.
So far two days of stability. Keeping my fingers cross....

I like this ROM very much but I have issues with Google Maps.
Sometimes when I open maps the phone reboots in 4-5 seconds.
I have tried to wipe maps data, uninstall, reinstall but no use.
I'm using google maps 6.6.0 by the way.
Any ideas?
Maybe that's a kernel issue. :/
i think this is only .35 problem. i use the same rom for .32 kernel, and it seems pretty stable no lags at all, gameloft games working excellent.
just one thing: it scores less in quadrant than other miui roms i used but i cannot see any difference in scrolling etc

Yes, .32 doesn't have any bugs regarding the screen... Anyway, as a general rule, everyone REALLY should keep away from .35 ROMs as the .35 kernel Huawei did is just horrendous. Sure, devs did patch a lot of stuff, but still, it's a patch job.
Either use .35 kernel or 3.0.8 when this one is stable.
I am using .35 and have no problem in rotating screen
me neither using last aurora update 3 and no problems at all

Ok I Installed MIUI 2.4
I am running the lastest CM7.2 but quartx and cant fault it yet. I have run the v6 supercharger script and it seems really good. I got rid of the ADW launcher and put on GO only for looks but I think GO seems a bit slower, I ,might have to try ADW again but try different themes.
I use 3G and get about 3 days out of it but usually about 1 hr of calls in there in a day so that would drain it, But dont play many games maybe 5 mins a day if that. I find it really good but as I upgraded to 2.3.6 I am stuck with a few ROMS and this is the best so far.
Installed MiUI 2.4...
thanks Kelly ...
I jst installed MIUI 2.4 ....
a data wipe and complete reinstall of MIUI and reboot took a total time of 5 Min..
Awesome ...
Ya Its Looks is Simply Superb and im tweaking things ...
Bt I Miss a APP Drawer in it by default . first thought its a bug...
They all say to use a Alternative launcher if App Drawer is need...
Yea you can try another launcher from the market. Miui is nice as it gives that iPhone look. Try v6 supercharger to. Big difference!!!

I think MS2Ginger is the best option for you. No battery drains, good battery life, good game support, stable, etc. I use CM7.2 nightly for defy+ on my red lens by Quarx. Is so good, smooth, stable, good battery life

Force reboots on all ICS ROMs

Currently using Kang Milestone 5. Tried CM9, Nightlies, CM9 HumberOS etc. and my tab still randomly reboots. Even rebooted while it was asking me for account info.
This is after fresh restocks from Overcome instructions too.
On Gingerbread I had absolutely no problems.
Seems to happen at least every two hours. Is it as bad for anyone else?

No, havnt had any reboots like that myself. CM9 runs brilliantly on my Tab, Just shows what Sammy could have done if they gave a sh1t about updating their previous devices.
Been happening a lot less lately. Might be partially due to the fact that I've stuck with milestone 5 as well as kept the 160 dpi instead of using 120 like I normally do.
Still, it happened on a fresh install while I was entering in details.
Seems entirely random.
So to bump this thread I have found that undervolting the CPU by 50-75 mV seems to have solved these issues, at least in the latest CM10 version in case anyone is curious.

My tab is GT-P1000N. My tab rebooted after every second. I was dieing to solve my problem. I searched everywhere but couldn't find any solution. Then I asked alroger how to solve this problem and thanks to him he said that the best thing to do is to stop overclocking the tab i.e to keep it max 998 MHZ. That's how my problem got solved. And also do a fresh install. Yor problem will be solved.
With best regards,
Adnan
And sorry for bad english. Because I am a Bangladeshi.

I was using kanged gummy kernel with CM9.1 before upgrading to CM10 and running at 1.2ghz NEVER rebooted. Now that I'm using CM10 I can't go past 1ghz without reboots however it seems faster than CM9.1/kanged gummy/1.2ghz.
Would be great If I could get 1.2ghz though, speeds things up a lot.
Using gt-p1000 I get random reboots too, using cm9 & 9.1, never had prob with gb. Now using latest cm9 nightly -so far so good.
