Hey, random question... I have a nick in my bezel after dropping it three feet, face down, with a case on. It is just above and a little to the left of the front camera. Anyone know a source to get a replacement bezel, and how difficult it is to replace them?
Or, any suggestions on how to fix it?

Not sure about where to obtain spare parts yet, but when you find that out, here's a great video for how to completely disassemble/reassemble your N4: http://youtu.be/AZDAIgwbXk4

I've got dust under my screen, you can see it in light a little, but in direct sunlight you can see a ton of really small specs all underneath the screen. This has always bugged the hell out of me with phones..is it really that hard to make the screen sealed off good? Anyways, just wandering if anyone else had dust and how much dust they had. I'm about to rip the thing open and wipe it off myself...
I also have dust under my screen mostly because i work with my phone in my pocket all day. Unfortunately the only way to get the dust out of there is to take the dang thing apart. I don't think that blowing computer air in it will help as it doesn't have anywhere to go.

Yep, I said in my post that that might be what I'll have to do...but maybe it's good for warranty? And I have the phone in my pocket all day too, it still shouldn't get dust under the screen.
I keep my phone in my pocket all day at work, some of the time when at home, and all the time when I go out somewhere. No screen protector or case. I have no dust under the screen. I do remove the rear cover periodically and clean any dust out from the battery compartment and surrounding areas, so maybe this helps.
Not me, in a otterbox

Front camera is horribly noticeable. Not so much anywhere else.

I only have it a bit in the top right corner and right in the center.

Hi I got my nexus 7 on Tuesday and yesterday I felt like there were some loose parts, but I just ignored it. Played around it more today and felt funny like the glass is coming off.. and just now I realized the glass is indeed loose.. from the casing.. I feel like I can literally take off the glass if I wanted to...
Does anyone else have this problem? What should I do... it doesn't affect the screen in any such way though. Everything looks fine on screen.
Except that when I play with it the glass/screen can be pushed and I can hear a crack sound like the glass is being clipped on to the casing..
OK like my left part of screen I push down and then pops back up ,making a clip sound.....
What do I do?

Sorry just found some posts on same problem.. but what's the solution? Refund? Replacement?

It sounds as if you have the same problem as many others. I presume the solution would be to go RMA it as others are doing. Or, if you're the brave type, you can attempt to fix it yourself by tightening a few screws inside, instructions are somewhere here.

Don't bother with the screws tried it several times never completely solved the problem

I would get a replacement. I get minor screen separation but only like a sliver over the Grey casing but nothing major.

The left side of my glass is loose too, not a lot. How long do we have to RMA ?
Crash
I just got a another new nexus , but it has the screen ripple. Should I exchange it, or try to fix it. It might be because I tried to fix the screen lift, and i loosened some screws. What should I do? What do you think you would do

Remove the screws and add some washers. The screws are too long and causing pressure.
There is a thread about using plastic from medicine pill packaging which is what I used. The backplate pulls the screen down and the innards out. I used 3 little washers total. The screws need to be snug or the back will push then screws and make other problems.

Could you elaborate on what you mean? I just loosened them, and they are decently snug, but I feel like the lift is going away (knock on wood) I would love to know what you are trying to say. By the way that guide helped. Thanks
Hello, I recently dropped my Nexus 4 to a concrete pavement. Fortunately it was in a case and did not get much damage, but it still received 3 scratches on the silver metal sideband, one of which seems quite deep since you can see the black background through it. Check out the attached images.
Anyway, my questions are:
1. Do you think this kind of damage is reparable? Is it possible to replace only the sideband? If so, how much do you think would that cost?
2. Do you think any kind of anticorrossion product should be applied on the scratches to protect them from rust? If so, could you recommend any?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
1. No, I don't think that's repairable.
2. No, you don't need to put rust protection on the scratches. All my old devices were filled with scratches (especially on the bezel) and there were never any rust issues.

I think that ring is plastic. I have not scratched mine but I have checked it with a magnet and that does not stick. That means it is not steel and that is the only thing that would rust.
Ok, thanks guys. I'll just leave it as it is, then. All I need to do now is to find a more protective case, I guess...
Just out if curiosity, which case were you using?

I was using a flip case that I bought on eBay (here's the link, but I'm not sure if you can access it as it's the French eBay: tinyurl.com/cbt4jxc ; here's just a photo: tinyurl.com/c5czd4n ).
It generally did an OK job during the accident, protecting the back and front of my Nexus, however the upper corners were not protected which resulted in the damage. What is curious is that the lower corners ARE protected, and if they applied the same to the upper ones, I believe my phone would have come out of all of this without even a scratch.
Right now I'm considering a Ringke Fusion case (tinyurl.com/d9ssjuo). Do you know anything about it? Can you recommend it?
Buy the oem bumper, it looks like its part of the phone, hiding the ugly scratches.

Yes, but it doesn't protect the glass back side of the Nexus 4, contrary to Ringke. Ringke case also hides the scratches and costs less
I recently dropped my Nexus 4 and I was wondering which replacement parts I need.
The glass is broken and the touch doesn't work.
Do I need to buy this?

Think that`s the one you need, there are tutorials on Youtube how to do it.
Make sure to get one where it comes assembled on the metal frame. Or the job will be extremely hard, check out you tube videos to see what I mean.
I don't think this one comes with the bezel frame, you can use your old frame but it will be hard to get it off, mine cost about $110 but it was from California and came with the frame attached
