Confirmed working on JellyBelly, baking into v5 now.
You otta seee what it does on GB Sense lol, man my Facebook app opens so fast its got to wait on the internet to load my post content. Going into my camera is like BAM right there. I'm gonna buy this app on a couple of my Google accounts for supporting this absolutely amazing project.

you guys always beat me to posting things. I grabbed that up yesterday and have been running it on jellybelly v4 and it really does help with the lag/lockups. I spent half an hour trying to make it lock up and it wouldn't.

Yeah I am on MikRunny (I added a bunch of my own tweaks too) using this and it is like the Shift was shipped with Sense 3.5. Absolutely amazing. lambgx02 should get a medal and a key to the world. Killer on JellyBelly too. I am going back and using ROMs that I avoided cuz of lag issues. It's gonna be a fun weekend.
I just put this on my old dx2 to test it and it really sped this old thing up! I'll try it on my speedy when its back up and running...

First rom I tried it on was supreme sense and it was ridiculous. I was playing games with the bs player video pop up running and it didn't phase it.
It even works on tethering too, it's like I have a real internet connection... I uploaded a ROM to devhost just to see if it would work... and it did. Anybody test battery life yet? It looks like it eats a little more but definitely worth it.

It's really funny that Google said it was the placebo effect. Benchmark scores don't lie lol.

Been running this on the Shift on SensuCM7, and on the SGS3 on JB. I underclocked the SGS3, and only have the Shift slightly OC' d. But both are still as responsive if not slightly more so, then without Seeder installed.

There is so much negativity about the app not working for some on the original thread, that it seems as if the app doesn't work! It feels like it's working for me, my shift is a little smoother and quicker but not 100% sure if it's really working.
I'm still using the free version but I'm debating wether I should get the paid version!
It made a huge difference on my DX2! On my Shift, I have had a noticable increase in speed but its not as dramatic a change as with the Droid.

I might be speaking a bit to early, but for me it seems to be working across multiple devices. The OG EVO, EVO Shift, EVO 3D, EVO LTE, ONE X, Galaxy S, and the SGS3. The paid version is the same as the one on XDA. Only difference is it allows for Updates, and auto updates. Plus it helps out the Dev .

Anyway, the dev did say that it might not work on all devices but, at least in theory, it should
I wish I could help out the dev, and a ton of other app creators, by buying it too, but college students are very poor these days

Yeah what I dont like about stuff like this is that you're not really sure if you just wanted it to work so much that you've tricked yourself into believing that it does or if it actually does!
Yea have a few at my disposal. But not all mine. Depends on if I'm if working on them. Yes know what you mean about the placebo effect. I'm basing it on how the device behaves before, and after with no other changes.

Do a benchmark before and after using the app, then tell me it doesn't work. Plus I have used it on every ROM I can think of that has a bunch of lag and there is no denying that is doing something to smooth things out. Try it on JB, you'll see what I mean.
This is supposedly just a fix to a bug in gb and lower versions, I don't understand logically how it could have any effect on ics+.

While for many, this update won't mean much, for others is actually a very important update. Our current gmail app is seriously crippled for some email users, no android management tools, no push notifications plus a more restricted market. I briefly switched and was stunned at the improvements made to the gmail app...eventually had to switch back though because my Battery life took a *HUGE* hit. Samsung/Sprint is really starting to drop the ball IMO.
2.2.1 is still being worked on,,,but the talk around the water cooler is 5-6 months for gingerbread,,,but it will be ported long before then.

Well froyo still has bugs I flashed it and got call issues freezing even after wipiing 3 times, lag on icons loading after rotate or opening keyboard...stock 2.1 is better.and no this phone is not better than evo they are both tha same it all depends on preference ,like epic keyboard but thicker>evo no keyboard thinner ,amoled or bigger screen, evo hdmi .evo 8mp camera kickstand etc...

Who cares, use DK28. It works great and has the best battery life I have ever seen on a smart phone. Most recently, from a full charge with calls, texts, internet browsing, emailing, facebook, and over an hour of angry birds I got 31 hours of use before I put it on the charger at 6%. I used it the whole day, left it off the charger for the night and used it the next day just to see how long it would last. If they are making these kind of improvements I an very happy with the progress and they can have as much time as needed.

Are you trying to say that is the release date? If so, you just destroyed your own credibility because they would never release a huge update on a holiday. No one wants to be stuck with a broken phone on Christmas sitting on hold for tech support. They most likely have less staff working too, which would just compound the problems.
funy thing is I dont care if you think its credible,Im putting it out there,if Im flammed Im flammed...And to clarify what my info is,12/20 is when they want to have RC2 ready for .4 version test phones, the window is mostly 5 days for bugs to be reported, now we are looking at 12/25-26,then if it is given the ok,it will roll out before the end of the year as expected, not everyone will get the OTA the first day.So I cant say when you will get it,only when they expect it to be done....And if you follow my trail, posted exactly when DK28 would hit 3 weeks before,I said 26-29. And Ive said this before,DK28 was supposed to be final with an update 2 weeks after the roll out to fix any unseen bugs.I mentioned this here and on SDX,does that seem credible enough for you?

yea but its hardly stable and it rarely gets updated unfortunately
It "rarely gets updated" because it's being built from scratch to work with our phone.
ahmgsk is working on 2 ROMs (MIUI and Truly Epic) and has made some improvements, if you really want it that bad, start porting it yourself, get an EVO or just wait for it to become stable and fully working.
we ALL want a muiu rom bro. but its really only one dev. and he's working on two projects for two phones (epic and fascinate). So i'd say give it about couple more weeks before we see a v2 muiu.
3 projects if you include his sense port, and the miui is probably his top priority right now.. he's damn good, but these things don't happen over night. Its not hat he rarely updates, he just doesn't release until he has something worth releasing.

Well, it corresponds with the previously obtained "leaked" photos. It does some things I haven't seen any other roms do as of yet. But, I would assume all easily doable if your a developer and wanted to mess with people.
Than again if I wasn't except so much from it I'd think it was it. But since It's kind of disappointing in the first place I don't want to believe it. But, I would assume there are much more background upgrades and new features not shown there that it would make it exceptional and that much better.

I still lean more towards it being a custom rom someone conjured up. And even if it's not ICS; nor, do I wish it to be (Again the background changes would have to be intense for me to not feel dogged completely) I would love to get my hands on that "rom" and mess with it.
Just tell us it's fake already and let us play with the rom!

Has anyone noticed the Movie Studio icon? As far as I know this app is only available on Honeycomb at the moment. Two possibilities:
- It's real and the Movie Studio works on phones
- It's a custom ROM and there's just a useless icon for an app that doesn't exist
The first one seems more likely to me. Also, there's the panorama feature in the camera app, which was rumored before.

Doesn't seem fake. IceAndFire ROM, for example, has the ICS launcher by Syndicate Apps.
This video shows a lock screen, a different app drawer, a different notification bar. Just like on my Honeycomb tab. Seems like real ICS.

Yeah HTC has some cool devices coming out, but Sprint is missing out. They need to give Sprint a Beats phone, hopefully with the Bliss ROM on it I love that UI and the new Rosie has to be my all time favorite.
I think they will work magic with ICS, Sense overlay would be nice especially with what I have been seeing of 3.5!

lots of people seem to have mixed results with beats and with ICS i think the sense overlay while it looks nice ICS looks good its the actual first stock android look that is nice.It would be nice if they cut back sense or got rid of their launcher anyways. the main reason companys created overlays was due to the lack of smoothness android didnt have. google really outdid their self with ICS imo its what 2.3 and 3.0 should have been.

I think it'd be good, because I flashed it for my friend on their thunderbolts, and I was actually fairly impressed. I think putting some light back on them would be good cuz for the evo, when it first got rooted, they were the place to be, but now with more developers, more people are spread out, but they're great roms for aosp.
I actually just flashed it about 2 hours ago. I'm impressed with it; has the correct pngs, flows nicely, even without a reboot.

Yea they would be, which is why a lot of people using them partition their sd cards, to save some internal space, but they can be used un-partitioned.
They have the ROM's partitioned so its all in the "ROM memory" there its actually internal memory free.
I ran it for a whole week with no mods at all and it was smooth very rare lag and no crashes. Although I only use about 40 apps, there its plenty of memory, but moving cache to sd and apps to sd helps.

Also would like to give big thanks to mazwoz... I've been using his ROMs for a few weeks now and they have been great daily drivers. I don't ever use 4g because for my experience its unreliable at best. Thanks for a great ICS rom and keep up the great work.
Just like the first one, I've been reading, reviewing and testing long before I decided to join. A lot of appreciation to any and all developers, I am running MazWoz 4.7...props sir!
+1 here! Been using this ROM since its stormy beginnings!
4.7 is the best yet!
Question for other 4.7 users, Google music suddenly incompatable?

+1 so many people are under appreciated when i first read all that trash on the first page of the roms op I was sooo hesitant to join xda, the only reason i'm here is because the best MIUI roms are on xda..
+1
I been testing this since start, running 4.7 now and one thing i noticed is Apex makes this ROM really fly...
People seem to forget what open source is. I'm glad I didn't run into something like you when throwing DerpXL out of nowhere but it seems to be all behind you now

I'll throw in a thanks to Mazwoz as well. Seems like a genuinely good guy (you can tell by his responses to the garbage some people have posted) and he takes the time to help you out.
Moved to general as I see no questions in here. Oh and you do realize this tgread was 8 months old

Truth! MazWoz is the man!!
BTW, got out of the Army as an E-5..... WAY too many years ago....
Not a fan of the 10 post minimum either, but I do understand the reasoning behind it. Just started tinkering with roms, but MazWoz-Evo JB 4.1.2 is the best one I've seen so far. So I thought I'd throw my thanks into the pile too. Look for my comments on the rom page soon... Thanks Maz!
MazWoz JB B3
I wanted to post a comment to the official development thread, but I couldn't. I have so far only been lurking in the shadows and not participating in the conversation so I'm nowhere close to the ten post minimum, even though I've been frequenting those pages for years!
I've been flashing my phone ever since my first Droid Eris had 1.6, and I've been running Maz's Jelly Bean ROMs since B1. This most recent release is (obviously) the most stable and fastest I've seen yet, and that goes for ANY JB ROM. I've tried a few, but Maz is the best. So the real reason I wanted to post was...
I want to thank MazWoz for spending so much time working on this. You have managed to breathe new life into my old-ass phone (not to be confused with my old ass-phone). Google Now is amazing, I love the new alarm clock, and the SPEED, man! Blistering!!
With B2, I was having a lot of issues when I'd open an app and it would freeze and reboot, but so far that seems to have been resolved. This ROM is so much smoother and faster in general, I don't even know where to begin singing your praises. If I could ask one favor, please include the option to center the clock in the status bar in your next release! I know you're already working on fixing the camera screen, so in summary:
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, AND THANK YOU!!! [cue applause]
Wow I remember when this thread was first started loll
