NEW ROM (a few questions)

hey guys, i flashed my first rom (hyper droid 12 i think) it wasn't easy....but i i did it
i know i will probably wanna flash again.... something with sense 3.5 or ice cream sandwich....so this is my question, how can i save content, like contacts, apps, files an what not.....an restore em back on the new rom? so im not completely empty

Titanium BACKUP, guess what it does

problem: after cwn install. nand kernal open failed

that`s my first thered sorry for my bad english.
i had hd2 with nand cm7 american android without cwn.
ive installed cwn and after that this eror appers.
there is any way to solve this without change or delete the existing rom?

If you installed CWM successfully then I'm afraid you've deleted your existing ROM (AmeriCanAndriod). Unless you had a backup on your SD card via an app (e.g. Titanium Backup) there is no way to recover it as far as I know.

you can try ICS roms. Leave gingerbread behind. ICS roms naw have HardwareAcceleration(HWA)

You can try MIUI based on ICS also. I recommended that.

[Q] Facebook Apps cnt use after custom ROM

Hi
I had just custom my SGY's ROM
My facebook apps cant use after install from my backup
My fone screen flashing with frequencies when i starting the facebook apps
I try to delete it's backup and reinstall frm the market bt it is still same
Anyone cn hlp? thx

okay u are using custom rom ..
but i guess there are hundreds of roms..
the question is which one.???
plz give complete info.
its useful to reply then..
maybe its a bug in the rom..
try another rom or search for solution...
will help u as soon as i knw which rom it is.??

What do you mean Facebook apps do you mean the Facebook app or all apps that connect to Facebook I.e friendcaster fast pro or is it just 1 app also give us some details like what Rom your using probably some screenshots of the problem if possible... we can't help if we don't know what your problem is

Try a wipe of data/cache in recovery and if that doesn't help install stock re flash jellyblast with all otas one by one !

I'm pretty sure he didn't understand what you said considering he's new here but anyways @Wayne you still haven't really described for problem so anyways flash stock room using Odin just go HERE it explains everything

[Q] JellyBlast problem

I have flashed JELLYBLAST V3.0.4, and keeps saying "your load is not enough to send a message", then i noticed my load greatly decreased, at first i ignored the problem and loaded 30, then the nxt day, afteri rebooted, my load is now 0, and the msg "your load is not enough...", pls help

Try flashing stock csc via odin, maybe it will work. I've seen that someone had the same problem like this on jellyblast thread.

How dud u flashed ur rom??
By recovery or by odin?? Do by recovery using cwm mode.
U wont get the problem...

thanks for replying guys, i installed the JellyBlast w/o quickoffice, the frickin msg then disappeared, but im getting an error where after reboot, jellybean search stopped responding . . .
can i fix this?

redownload jellyblast then dont delete anything the fc was caused by moding the rom

I also encountered the Jellybean search force close. What I did was to use RootUninstaller and uninstall it.

I have also found one error can any solve this problem other than reinstalling rom. When I installed some apps and after uninstalling them there: is no change in memory value

Its a common problem. Itsva bug. Anyway Jellybean search is a useless app..
Jst install root uninstaller frm market and uninstall it.
U wont get the problm after tat.

Download another gallery app like quikpic its faster and waaaay better

You've flashed the wrong 1 make sure the stock rom u flash is native to your region or else you'll have connection problems go here

Installation aborted
I accidentally flash the jelly blast from stock and now only the lock screen is jellybean version, and a significant increase of performance but others are pretty much still the same.
The problem is when I tried to flash it again from cwm, the installation was aborted. Should I do something else first?

Take a look at the zip file you are trying to flash. May be it is brocken or corrupted.
And jellyblast is not real 4.1 its just a themed stock.

All the problems are due to bugs in this rom.. Some may due to Corrupted Package..
To solve all the thing be updated,,..
Download and install all available updates for JellyBlast
1. Install JellyBlast
2. Install JBV3OTA1
3. Install JBV3OTA2
4. Install JBV3OTA3
5. Install JBV3OTA4
6. Install JBV3OTA5( Pre-Nemesis)
Then see the Performance.. Enjoy Smooth and bug free Rom...

[Q] Partition sd card SGY S5360

Hello guys, I followed the developement of that phone on other forum and one day, someone posted a new rom called JellyBlast V3, I was really excited of that because I really enjoy custom rom for the rapidity and graphic, well, so my problem is:
I have a micro sd hc 16gb and I wanted to partition it, i followed few guides but without succes, my phone memory is still blocked at 20mb and I can't install nothing...I think I do something wrong but I don't know what..someone can help me to fix this problem?
There maybe something usefull of my phone
Build Version : JellyBlast v3.0.4
Kernel : I think is kuro kernel 2.6.35.7
I really hope someone can help me for that. Sorry if I've done something wrong

After partitioning...ur internel memory increases bt doesnt show..
To have a look..open link2sd..
Press menu button nd press storage..
U will see it there..
Plus my advice...
Remove the update of those apps which u dont use such as maps and youtube etc..all the pre installed apps..

The error of full phone memory pop out i have partitioned the sd correctly but I don't know why this problem is still here...

Its the main key...

I have link2sd preinstalled thanks to this custom rom, now I will try to download some random app, then I will re-post for issues.

So your internal memory's maximum is 20 mb or is it once you've installed the rom the rom takes all the memory leaving you with 20 mb?
If it's the first one, try clearing cache, data, dalcik cache before flashing
If it is the second situation, have you installed any apps? Move all of them to sd card? Link to sd seems to move apps back into internal memory for me too, for some unknown reason.

Try to 'link' not clear dalvik cache in menu button...will free up 30 to 40 mb internal menory....!!"

Umm guys im sorta new to paritioning and i went through guides like carldeancatabays but i couldnt really get it....could u guys like spell the process out and how to use it....coz last time i tried to move the fb app to sd card viz link to sd ( redircted via normal appstosd) and i softbricked sooo plzz help!
Also if u could explain the benefits!

Go into link2sd if u did your setup properly you should see a command called create link when you open a app then simply create a link and you'll see a menu come up tick everything
