Do you use the app screen standby by nkahnt?
When the message screen standby mode comes my screen goes to the brightest mode instead of beeing shut off.
Any ideas?
Do you have a standard nexus 10 with the latest android version?

Have you solved this? I usually always check replies to my posts, don't know what happened here. Sorry about that. I have a rooted, stock Nexus 10. I know I'm REALLY late with this reply haha.

hey guys, I´ve been having some strange behavior on my M2 lately, everything was normal till last week but now the phone started registering random inputs on all over the screen... its like I am touching the screen madly... I´ve already tried flashing the retail brazil SBF and everything still the same... I can´t even answer the phone straight!!!
any ideas? maybe my digitizer has gone crazy...
Take a look at this vid. It's mine. It is happening when i'm scrolling fast. I think I will send it to a service.
I get this when my phone is on the lockscreen connected to my pc.

this happened to me a few times before. once was when i typed a really long email using my keyboard. when i shut the qwerty it started behaving crazy. a few other times was also after i used the keyboard.
then i realized something in common. the problem only occurred when i had 'words' running in the background. i uninstalled 'words' and i have never had the problem since
perhaps u have a really buggy software. try uninstalling one of ur buggy softwares and u would be grand.
if u cant locate the buggy software, turn off the screen (short press of power button), turn it on again, and unlock, and things should be back to normal
well... it look like I gonna have to send it to service too... I´ve already wiped it clean... I´ve done a clean flash of the brazil retail SBF and everything is the same... random issues all over... bad luck right?
thanks for the support guys!
I have not experienced this problem...maybe because I'm running stock ROM?

how do you turn down the sensitivity? i dont recall seeing any option to adjust the screen sensitivity. unless u could do this after rooting the phone perhaps?
How can I set my device to not turn on the screen autmatically?
It annoys me that the screen is turned on every 30 minutes or so, and then needs one or two minutes to turn off again
What is this good for anyways?
Yes 7.7 wakes on ALL system event like battery full, annoying as hell. No working solution yet. Grrr...

Try using smart screen off, it keeps your screen off when the proximity sensor is activated like in a case or bag.

Can you elaborate on this, please?... What's "smart screen"?
Thanks!

Thanks for your replies! I will try the mentioned app.
Imho this feature should be integrated in stock touchwiz.
Sure np, however it does drain a bit of battery as the sensor needs to constantly keep detecting any changes. Try the lite version first before going pro.
Smart Screen Off doesn't stop the tablet from waking up on system notification like battery charge completion. Google believes charging completed is most important thing on earth and should make it known as soon as it happened, even when it might be in the middle of night.
Grateful if anyone would tell me how to stop this annoying notification...(i know how to turn off its sound, i just wish to stop it from happaning)

Hi Guys,
I have a question about the update to version 4.1.2.
When I go to Settings > About > System update, I see that the update to 4.1.2 is found but it says that it is waiting to download but it stays like that forever and nothing happens.
Has anyone else seen such behavior? Do you know why it is happening and if it is normal?
Thanks!
Maybe a stupid question but... are you connected to WiFi when you see the message?

Make sure you have a good WiFi connection. The WiFi in my dorm shows a good connection (String signal) but the internet can sometimes timeout easily. Make sure your connection to the internet is superb.

My connection is very good. For just in case, I put the Nexus besides the wifi router and still nothing happens.

Yes, I know what the arrows mean but my question is why this is happening? Is there a way for me to force the download? Or maybe I just have to wait more (it's been like this since yesterday)?
Try powering off the Nexus and then starting it up again. If that doesn't work, try using the technique to trick it into updating mentioned in this thread (yes, it's for a different situation but still worth a shot)

Hey, thanks for the suggestions. I tried powering off and on and it didn't work.
Then I tried the method to force stop the Google Services Framework and when I went to the System updates screen, I had the option to check for updates. I checked and I am back to where I was before - the update shows but is only "waiting to download"

Well, I bought the N7 recently and I want to see how it feels without rooting and custom roms. But later on, I will most probably unlock it.
Hi everyone. I have the same problem with the download. Mine N7 is also stock. Tried the method with the framework multiple times, tried to restart, tried another internet, still no luck in downloading. Any further suggestions?

Same issue here! I see the update, but it's waiting to download forever. Could this be connected to the location? Same as the the other guy I'm located in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Yeah, I'm starting to think the same, as I am in Sofia too.
Anyway, I could not find a solution, so I rooted and installed CM10, so no issue for me anymore.
Another one from Sofia. Waiting to download and after some time... unable to download.....

Hi,
I have a weird issue, I hope you guys can help me.
While my phone is staying idle, after a while, even when there is no notification, the screen half-lights up after a random period, and stays like that until I press the lock button.
Has anyone experienced it? What could be the issue? May there be a setting misconfiguration?
Also, may that be related to WiFi?
I'm on stock Rom with latest update.
Thanks in advance,

Where can I check the wakelocks? Do I have to dig each installed apps separately?
Edit: Will this work?

you can just start the download. shutdown compituer whenever you want.
Next time you turn it on, just go to the store. it will be on top-right. click on it and resume.
It worked for me. Probably will work for you
Worked. Thanks a lot mate
