Droid Pro not being picked up by RSD Lite - Droid Pro General

I've read just about every thread and no luck. I updated to a CM port by vanillaLVL, and forgot to back up.
I want to use an sbf to go back to 2.3.3 so I can start fresh with a better rom because his rom doesnt have good in call volume and messes up my bluetooth.
So far every thread about fixing RSD Lite will not work for me.
RSD Lite will not recognize my Droid pro, whether I use Bootloader, CWM, or Usb Debugging mode while phone is on. I have tried looking at every fix, but nothing works. Any tips on how to fix RSD Lite, or how to fix my phone to get it back to stock? I tried using update.zips but I always get an error in the build.prop stopping the update.

When i BSF mine i used version 5.6, do you have Moto drivers installed? also just in case make sure you are using a 32 bits version of Windows

I think my windows is 32 bit, and I dled the newest Motorola drivers from the site, but still doesn't work :/ my phone can't access stock recovery either, so might that be causing the issue?

Hey dude... Okay to start off ill tell you what you need... you need to download the base drivers from motorola and have a 32 bit windows computer... What you want to do from there is uninstall your previous drivers... reboot your pc then install them... reboot your pc... now comes the tricky part... take your droid and hold down the volume keys and the button on the right side of your phone and while holding all thoes down hold the power down too .. wait about 30 secs or till the lcd slightly lites up and let go a simple menu should pop up on your phone... now plug in your phone and wait for 10 min if nothing shows up unplug it and plug it in with a different cord and if nothing pops up in 5 min open rsd lite and your phone should show up... now browse to your .sbf or your .sbf.zip and start the flashing process (just click start)..... tell me if this works please!!!

Hate to sound amateur but sometimes its just the specific computer. I bricked my xprt at my friends house and tried to sbf it with his 32 win 7 laptop and the drivers kept failing.

[Q] Help!! I bricked it

Please help. Background. I rooted it and had it set up to work on Cricket. Well I like the latest rom so I attempted to update it to a different rom. First one wouldn't boot so I was able to get into Clockwork mod and load a saved original version back. Then i tried flashinf the Rumm rom and now when I start it it immediately goes to the Rumm screen and stays there. I can't figure out how to get into the Clockwork menu agiain and it wont boot up. I can press camera down volume and power and get it into the bootloader. But I have no idea what to do from there. I am new to the droid X but I was successful with the HTC Hero. but this is new.
Thanks for any help

Looks like you'll want to SBF the device. Google search on how to SBF the Droid X and you should come up with some really good guides. Make sure you flash to 2.3.320 if you want to use the latest and greatest that Team Defuse has to offer. I would post a link to one of the guides, but I'm away from my computer today.

I have rsd lite and SHADO_X6_2.3.34_SYSTEM-ONLY.sbf I open the RSD and choose the sbf file but RSD doesn't find the phone. there are drivers loaded says Motorola Flash Interface v. 3.2.5.0. I have it in the bootloader says ok to program transfer mode usb. Thoughts
Thanks
Windows 7 64bit pro gives some difficulty with recognizing the phone. I suggest removing the motorola drivers and downloading them again.
I got it to work by plugging my phone in, then installing the drivers immediately after. It is screwy sometimes though.
Also RSD has device ID options. change that and see if it recognizes it. I also find that sometimes if I plug in my phone after RSD is open it finds it.
wow this has been a long process. after not able to get the phone to get recognized on Win7 I moved everything to my win xp comp. while it was in the provess of creating the image file ( took like an hour) the battery on my phone died. So I am charging the phone still. it's still creating a image file. Hope I can resume once phone is charged. I am not sure why the phone doesn't chrge while plugged into the USB port but ok. Thanks for the ideas so far. Will update later

FYI it shouldn't take over an hour to create image. I flashed the .320 SBF 2 days ago and the whole process from start to finish was under 10 minutes.
Also, I don't believe it charges when in bootloader mode. You could power it via USB if necessary (involves stripping a USB cable). I've never done it but there are various tutorials. I'll look around.

See code corrupt error section.
The easiest option is to charge your battery in another X.

yes I charged the phone to 100% and tried again and again the battery died before it finished. the sbf file I have is 280 Mb. If there is a smaller one then maybe it will work
It's more likely that the SBF file you have is bad or there is still some sort of USB driver issue going on. Try downloading it again from wherever you got it.
The phone should not go from 100% to dead in an hour. Also the SBF flash shouldn't take nearly that long.
for now I am stuck. I can't get the phone to charge the battery any more. When I plug the phone into the wall it just goes to the bootloader screen by its self and has an error number and a message that the battery is low. So I ordered some batteries with a wall charger. Once those arrive I will try again. thanks for all the help you guys are giving me. update later date

[Q] Bricked Defy and not recognized by my USB

Guys,
First of all, hello to all! So, I followed a tutorial to install Froyo on my Defy. Now I'm stuck with my phone trying to boot as soon as i put the battery on, but it never makes it past the "M". I can get into recovery. I wiped data, cache and tried to install the "update.zip" but it aborts saying "signature verification failed." I have the boot file (that was the next step) to install using RSDlite 4.9 but the phone is not even recognized any of my USB ports. Any ideas? Thanks to all in advanced.
press volumn up buton and power button on boot , once you saw the backlit is on , release the button , you will see the rsd litle showing your usb .
dont worry . i think it is your first time to use RSD only
yea i been through that ( doesnt work on vista )
you need to install rsd lite and 2.51 UK Firmware ( no usa )
google it and you will find it or on this forum
install usb driver from motorola webiste
install rsd lite
put uk firmware in ... C drive/ program files / motorola / rsd lite
install driver
If your phone is stuck on " M " then pull battery out
turn on and quicky press power + vol up ( i think ) before M even appear
wait till it say your boot loader and your battery
plug phone in
start rsd lite
on ... look up your uk firmware that you you recently put in rsd lite folder
then you should see your phone connected on the 1 slot
then hit start or something and wait it out .
Thanks guys! But I've been messing around with this thing for so long, I drained the battery. I had to run it up to the local phone store to get it charged. I'll pick it up in a couple of hours and give your advice a try.
Hey guys! it worked! I'm up and running. Now, anyone has a link to bypass this Welcome to Motoblur screen. Is there a Custom Froyo or Gingerbread Rom out there without Motoblur?
Alright... I'm up and running, but no camera!!! Heck, it was a learning experience. I guess I'll go back to 2.1 now. LOL
So the Chinese ROM was rooted. I installed Clockworkmod and restored from the backup i had made of the original 2.1 OS. I'm back to a rebooting phone not making it past the "M" I went back to RSDlite and realized the boot file said 2.2 only. Can anyone assist me finding the right one to go back to original. I haven't been able to find a thread about reverting back to original.
The more I read, the smarter I get seems like the only thing I'm missing here is the SBF file for my original T-Mobile OS. I'm looking at the motorola website, but I can't find it. Can anyone point me to it? Thanks all! Oh yeah, this is the first android phone i mess with so my apologies.
There is no us sbf file. You have to flash a uk version and restore 3g with the posted fix. You can find the links to available sbf files on this forum. They are not available thru moto's site.

Just to make sure I got it right. After using clockworkmod to restore to my factory backup, I need to use the UK sbf to be able to boot to it. Correct?
I found the sbf for Central Europe with no Motoblur. Does anyone know of any issues with it?
well the only way to fix this if you previously backed up your rom/files with recovery ( good thing i did this ). If not then you have to live with what you got.
I backed up my original firmware using clockworkmod. I flashed to the Chinese 2.2 but my camera didn't work. Since the camera is important to me, the Chinese Froyo was a deal breaker. I installed clockworkmod again and "recovered" from my original backup but now my defy won't boot. Did I miss a step?
Your data from the backup may cause issues when rolling backwards. Install an eclair sbf, then restore. That worked for me.
On another note there is a fix for the camera. Check the forums.

Just try and install the Motorola Drivers in your desktop and open RSDLite and press 'show devices' button. It will surely show the details of your phone.
Then point RSDLite to the stock SBF and flash away.

If you hear the USB plugged in sound in your Pc, it's a messed up driver installation. If you don't hear the sound, it can be a bad cable, or a faulty microusb port (assuming that your pc usb works fine). Try once in a different pc and with a different microusb cable.

I do not hear any sound from desktop/laptop.
I think I stuck in boot loop. When I try to power on the phone, it just shows CM7 boot logo for few seconds then restarts again shows the boot logo... this happens continually. When I try to enter into recovery, it does not go to CWM recovery instead it goes to stock recovery. I am still able to enter into boot loader. In boot loader, it says battery OK connect USB to program. When I connect USB, it is recognized by phone and says transfer mode: USB. But my PC does not shows up the phone.
I tried re-installing drivers and RSDlite many times but no luck. But I have nandroid backup of CM7. Is there any possibilities to enter into CWM recovery?
Any help is appreciated.
Edit:
I tried even different USB cables and PCs also.

Did I just brick my phone??

Oh my god I think I bricked my phone!!! I turn it on now and i see the m for motorola but then nothing else happens!! I try to go into recovery and reboot doesn't help try to update from sd card doesn't help try to wipe factory settings doesn't help. Geez I'm so screwed any suggestions?? It's like my phone has been completely erased but I know in backed everything up to sd card. How do I get my phone to work. I have motorola droid x btw. Any suggestions??
Dude calm down you're fine. I've done that a couple times.
Download rsdLite and the latest .sbf. probably 2.2.340 or whatever. Connect your phone via USB, open rsdLite, then turn on your phone holding down camera and volume down buttons I think.. to go into bootloader. Google it. Anyways, it'll say "connect USB data cable". Slect the .sbf in rsdLite and wait till its done. Then you have a stock dx. Download bootstrapper again and flash to the rom on your SD card. The whole process, including downloading the .sbf and rsdLite will take under 30 min.

I tried to do that but I can't seem to get the motorola device to sync with file. I see there is an option that says "start" and I'm sure that downloads the file to the phone but I can't seem to sync it. In other words I downloaded file and plugged in USB from phone to computer but can't download file to phone. Please walk me through step by step. Please I'm desperate.

You probably need to just download the correct drivers for your PC. Is it 32 or 64 bit?
Forever29 is correct. Sorry I didn't reply last nite. My transmission blew anyway. Make sure you install the drivers. Then put the phone in bootloader. Plug it in. Wait for windows to recognize the device with its little pop ups. When it finishes, then start rsdLite.
Oh, and thank you Mikeinrichmond

[Q] NEED HELP!! [please]

I have bootloader 30.04 after using liberty 1.5 I wanted to try out Rubix Focused. Everything was going well till my I tried to flash the watermarkd theme. Went through all the steps rebooted using Koush bootstrapper rocovery and when it restarted stuck at splash screen. After searching around I found out I could get into bootloader menu and reflash. My phone said low batteery cannot program. After cutting a USB in half and jump starting my battery I was able to get it into bootloader and it said battery ok, okay to program. Connect data cable. Make a long story short RSD lite will not recognize my phone I was using 4.9 and was later recommended to use 4.8 as a lot of people had trouble with 4.9 Any advice on this and how I can bring my phone back to life? I can get into boostrap recovery on the Android Recovery system which we all know is kinda useless for the purpose. Am I going to have to SBF Flash my phone? What if it wont recognize the phone after using 4.8 What are my options?! I need to get my phone up and running asap and i've been working on this for like 3 days now. Can anyone give me detailed instructions that could help me restore my phone? I did make a nandroid backup too, I just cant get to the bootstrap recovery for some reason. Only bootloader or Android Recovery. Please Help!!
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed. What OS are you using? If using Windows 7 you have to run as administrator(by holding shift + right click then click run as administrator . Also I had to rename my sbf file to C:/abc.sbf my computer would only recognize the sbf on the root of my C drive.

[Q] Having issues with GB Leak and cant sbf back to .340 need help please.

I flashed the deodexed pre rooted gb leak and have had nothing but problems since flashing it and now i wish to got back to stock using sbf but for some strange reason my droid x is not being seen by rsd lite. I have installed all the appropiate drivers and followed procedure to the letter as far as what i can see on the thread about reverting from leaked gb to .340 based rom and still no luck. Ive googled til my fingers are sore and still no luck. any insight as to what i am doing wrong or what i could do to remedy this situation would be greatly appreciated. for some strange reason i dont have super user access any more and i cant boot into recovery mode either. im running windows 7 64bit edition. if any other info is needed just let me know as ill be around here all day til i can fix this problem. thanks in advance.
I had the same issue for about 2 hours myself, rsd lite apparently has a major malfunction with cooperating with windows 7, what I recommend and what I did was use my netbook with windows xp. So I would suggest trying that if you have access to a computer with it

Are you putting your X into bootloader mode? Hold home + power to boot into the bootloader. It should been recognized by RSD after that.
