Thanks for the news, so how long usually google release JB source code to the public?
I've heard a few weeks.

Free Nexus 7 Guidebook from Play Store says, Chapter 1, Jelly Bean tips, Other improvements, Chrome:
If you need Flash, download the Browser from the Google Play Store app.
Sounds to me like the stock ICS browser can be downloaded. Though Flash will not being available on Play after August 15. So best to do this quick.

Flash works on JB. Backup the Flash player apk with Titanium Backup on ICS and Restore it on JB.

Is there a trick to getting Firefox to be usable under this ROM? I can't get it to work right after all this crap I had everything set to tablet and it is still screwed up.

No idea. I use Dolphin. I can't tell you or anyone else exactly how any particular app is going to react. You just have to find out for yourselves.
EDIT: Installed Firefox and, while it's initial startup (not PA related) is pretty intrusive and difficult, it runs fine in stock mode.
Awesome sauce, PA is amazing on my note. Can finally use youtube without cutting off videos

Thanks for the information. Users of this ROM can copy the files if they choose to. I will PM jcsullins to see if he will give me permission to use the files in the build.

PA is building toward 4.2, but is a kludge of 4.1.2, and 4.2. Since they are concentrating on specific devices and not paying much attention to other devices, such as the TP, they are merging in a way that breaks other devices. At the moment, our build is broken because some 4.2 merge didn't pay attention to other device commits.

Nope, no official build available yet for crespo.
Cominggggg CM10.1 Experimental
They also have it running for Crespo4G. I'm running Jellyshot right now, but looking forward to seeing what the CM team does with this phone!
Hells yeah. I can't wait for the first nightlies to hit.
I have never done this before, so take this with a grain of salt, but I am currently syncing with the cm10.1 repo. Hoping to have a build for the Crespo4G soon.
That being said, syncing has been going on for about 6 hours. Damn 3mbps.
Update:
9.3GB takes a long time to download on a horrible connection. The bun is officially in the over. I'll report back when I have any news.
Just a question regarding cm 10.1. I am running cm10 now. I have installed the 4.2 camera and gallery from a post on here awhile back. If and when I update to 10.1, Well the new camera app change or will I need to manually replace it?

When flshing the gapps package from goo.im, all google apps will be replace!.. maybe the apps will be twice on your your device, but you can disable the former gallery and camera in your apps settings..
and i would say do a full wipe befor 10.1.. or between every bigger system update
Sorry, but this is a false alarm. The person who coded this webpage has automatically (and incorrectly) coded all nightlys as cm10.1. Check out all of the links - surely nightlys from September and October are not cm10.1? There are no cm10.1 nightlies for crespo / nexus s yet. See link: http://get.cm/crespo.

ROM Manager
Uhm ... I've just launched Rom Manager and in the CyanogenMod Nightlies I found 10.1 ... of yesterday
To post an update on the status of my NS4g build:
I got to the point where it goes to build, then sat there. For 20 hours. No files were written even though my CPU was at 100% all day/night.
Anyways, I'm also running out of space, 5.6GB free which isn't enough, so I'm going to load ubuntu on my desktop and try it on there.
Have you tried flashing it? I am on my way to office right now, can't wait, will probably flash it in office today

Right now, I'm using the CM10.1 port from XpLoDWiLD/Entropy512 and paranoid port "ParanoidKANGdroid" from thexz1 for CM10.1 on the Galaxy S3
The build boots up, but WiFi is broken
I'm trying to port Paranoid Android myself, but they don't exactly have a CM10.1 compatible build yet (only CM10)... so that'll take time

That wouldn't be the way to do it. It would be easier to add the qualcom additions to our jellybean legacy branch, there aren't that many. Then patch the other repos or just use cms . Anyway I'm not sure If I'm going to do a 4.2 build with io right around the corner .

hmm.
I was looking over the manifest.xml, ~ 4-5 repos had to be modified:
vendor/pa, frameworks/base, packages/apps/Settings, packages/app/Trebuchet, system/core
I added the cm10.1 repos as a remote sources for each of the repos, and merged the commits. all of the repos merged with few files conflicting(<20), only frameworks/base had > 300 files with problems. some of them are unknown changes(i.e. need to analyze the history more, only a minority were paranoid specific changes)
Look nice

I'm attempting to build CM11 for crespo4g right now.
We'll see how this goes.
I'm anticipating I'll run into at least as many issues as are plaguing the crespo. Plus WiMAX hasn't been working on any 4.3 builds, so I doubt we'll have it either. I'll post it here when I'm done, don't think I have enough cred on xda to post on the 4g dev section

I forked CyanogenMod's CM10.2 crespo4g repo, and added a couple changes to update storage for KitKat, but most of the device specific stuff draws from the crespo tree, which is already at version 11.0 in CM's sources. I'm gonna try to start a build right now. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'll also open a thread in the ns4g dev section as soon as I can.
If anyone wants to contribute code/tips/general know-how to this project it would be greatly appreciated. Also since I'm working from the 10.2 codebase, I expect the WiMax issue to carry over. That's something I'm willing to work on when I get it booting.
I also tried a dirty port from this discontinued crespo rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2526740. It just bootloops.

My thoughts would be to edit the bootclass path in the kernel from the nexus s ROM to work for the nexus s 4g, as well as whatever else code is important in the kernel, then get it booting since in order to dirty port a ns ROM to the ns4g all you have to do is swap kernels and then you'll have basic functionality, but that's my two cents, I could be missing something important idk

Just installed adityaxavier's unofficial CM11. Everything is working, including WiFi to 3G switchover (which wouldn't work in any CM10.2 build or Slimbean 4.3 build).
Wimax 4g is not yet working, but that is a minor issue for most.
I hope the Nexus S 4G development won't die out any time soon. This NS4G is my first smartphone, and I use it as a wifi only device. It was a friend's old phone, donated to me. I also have an original Motorola Droid (also from another friend's old phone stash), which I rooted and modded with custom ROMs and stuff. The Droid is now my little brother's first smartphone (also wifi-only). It's been a great learning experience, AND we get useful devices to use too! It's why I love it here at XDA so much.
NOT Dead! Because I found a few "newer", great ROMs to try out still. ROMs I tried and thoughts:
- adityxavier's unofficial CM 11, build 11 --> great, fast, smooth; but I get those errors prompts saying "process com.phone.android stopped working" after boot up. I tried a clean install, as well as a dirty install after factory reset. Still getting those errors.
- jc4gavejc's AOSP 4.4 for Nexus S 4G --> same as above, but also very simplistic, lean, and clean-looking, which I loved. I would've kept this ROM if not for the same error prompts "process com.phone.android stopped working"; or "process com.messaging.android stopped working". I'm beginning to think my phone can't handle 4.4 builds somehow.
- Slim Bean 4.3 --->fast, smooth, stable, minimalistic-looking, with none of the extra features that I'd likely not use anyways. I'm using it now as my stable ROM until I see a working android 4.4 that I can try out again.
- Helly Bean 4.3 -->Also a fast and stable ROM on my crespo4g device. Lots of extra features from Paranoid Android, which I don't really use. My stock battery charging animation disappears with this one. It seems to power on during charging, even after I turn it off.
- Official CM 10.2 --> easiest to install b/c of the cminstaller, but noticeably slower than the above custom ROMs.
Once I have enough posts, and clearance to do so, I'll post these comments, with more details, in their appropriate threads, to help give feedback on the ROMs I tried. Thanks to all the developers that spent time and efforts on these!
