How to flash.
- Open ODIN.
- Select CODE / MODEM / CSC.
- Put phone in download mode. (HOME - VOLUMN DOWN - LOCK)
- Connect phone with cable. Push start (Wait till phone reboot on Android start screen!)

Changes
-as was the case with LP1, holding the home key brings up the stock ICS task manager but you also get the option to enter the Touchwiz task manager via a button at the bottom

That's great to hear! Sucks for me since I've just finished restoring all my apps and such for the LP1 leak lol. At least you say it's worth it

CM9 already using LP2 isn't it

@intratech is it really that much better than LP1? The last one I tried was KPA but people say LP1 is a lot better. I still think CM9 is better though.

Will you make a non-wipe version or is it unstable to use a non-wipe version for ICS?

Well I said consider keeping on my device that doesn't mean I think it's ready for release as yet. It's a good step forward though.

So what is the result of your consideration? Is it still on your device? What is the current ROM you use for daily use?

Erm, it's not presently on my device as of 8am today. Need a mission critical device today so restored backup of XWKL1.

Haha, love the phrase 'mission critical'.
I had CM9, which was really nice, right up until I was stupid enough to try and use it as a daily and it destroyed my battery overnight, leading my alarm not to go off, and prematurely terminating the critical mission of attending work

Well Cm9 doesnt, if im right? Basically i flashed to a 2.3.7 build aaages ago and havent really kept up with new developmnents but i have been reading the ICS threads and video etc seemed to have been an issue?
Also does the front end look like ICS or like the older android, my friend got a nexus with ICS and it loooks great i want my UI to look like that!

Have just updated from LP1 to LP2, but still having the same problem with setting up a new push email account from within Social Hub or via settings - still get the connection failed message which stops me from setting up my email accounts, including gmail...

Anyway, what do you mean by 'front end'. If you've fallen in love with his the nexus UI, I think you would prefer CM9 over this Samsung's. I am pretty content with TW though. I just push trebuchet launcher over it et voila. The perfect mix of TW and ICS for me

Oxygen Roms
I had an Nexus S before i bought my Galaxy SII. I have tried Oxygen and it was great but i need some more features. It was to simple so i flashed back to an other rom.
I will look forward to his new Roms and try them

just 2 little issues
1. The notifications looks dim ( always)
2. When I put automatic brightness it goes to 0% bright
Otherwise this rom is AMAZING!!

No offense but this is just a third party website. They don't even mention the source of these rumors. Nothing has been stated by samsung so far so there's no need to cry. To be honest I don't think that 4.0.4 will be some revolutionary step forward and thus I don't understand why we shouldn't get this update.

Read some faqs, install custom 4.0.4 rom, find out you have bought nice hardware and not a phone

They would f* it up anyway with touchwiz crap like they did with 4.0.3, AOSP and 4.1 all the way

Well I've installed Parandoid Android 1.5a and VK 5.1.2 in dual boot already, but CM/AOKP/AOSP roms don't work as flawlessly as sammy roms.
For example in CM & co roms auto brightness or gyro is broken. Also no FM (yeah, i know, ther is spirit FM...) and sensor assistance is working.

I agree, auto brightness on CM/AOSP/AOKP roms is still far away from perfect, which makes our beloved and very dark S AMOLED+ practically unusable (outdoor) on sunny days.
Also Apex, Nova, etc don't measure up to TW Launcher in terms of smoothness.

i just noticed this now people have been telling me for ages gs2 will get an official 4.0.4 rom but i guess not :/
pull your finger out your arse samsung, stop ****ing us about like you did with the 4.0.3 rom !!

What's the point of upgrading to the newest version? It doesn't mean it's better either.. Other typical user outside the xda don't even care about rom updates.. I saw many people still running gingerbread on their S2.. If you had a perfect rom right now then why bothers?
Samsung and other companies always provides the best option for their devices..

it's very great to have 4.0.4 for SGS2, since it's not confirmed as a fact, i'll stay on already 4.0.4 CM9's.

(1) Paper Artist - fun applications for the whole family.
(2) Smart stay - screen is always on as long as you are looking at it.

1st of all this is old news
2nd smart stay is broken on both Croatia and Hong Kong builds
3rd play grup and new gallery app were added too.

[TIP] Lock Focus & Exposure (AE & AF Lock) HTC One

Don't know if this was discussed before, but with the 4.3 update & Sense 5.5, you can Lock Exposure & Focus (AE & AF Locked) in the stock Camera app by tapping & holding your finger on the screen.

Didn't know! I just found it accidently & thought it came with the 4.3 update. Changed the OP accordingly.

to reset AF & EF in auto, just touch once on the screen and let it auto focus

It's actually a very good feature, quicker snaps can be taken. It however was not in 4.1.2, was introduced in 4.2.2

I can confirm they did introduce it in the last T-Mobile 4.1.2 update back in July.

This was not a feature in my AUS Vodafone 4.1.2.
Also of all the reviews I read online re the 4.2.2 releases said it was a new feature HTC added to that and later firmware.
I guess you were lucky or special on T-Mobile..

I have 4.3 with Sense 5.5 and can't find how to turn on autofocus when recording. There is no option in camera settings.

confirmed to BE in 4.1.2.
i have an HTC Sensation XE running Sense 5 jellybean 4.1.2 port courtesy of Team Venom and this feature, locking of AE and AF is there..but..i'm kinda curiuos, what does it do?
