what rom do you prefer according your taste?

what do you think which ROM is the best for you ? Android ROM for HD2?

True and I feel its very disrespectful to the developers because they put their heart and soul in these roms. This far in android development all roms are super smooth and fast. It's just a matter of preference. I tried a lot of roms both gingerbread and sense hd and believe me some of these roms run close to if not better than native android devices. So please close this thread and go find some better to do than to insult the great devs of xda.

That is simply not true, there is a lot to be done in terms of Sense Roms. However, many dev's are working hard to change that and it is only a matter of time to see Sense Roms as smooth as Stock/CM/MIUI roms...

Actually I think what thread starter is trying to do is to see which is the most popular ROM. Not which ROM is the best, smooth, fast, battery life etc. So I think it is ok. Most popular ROM does not mean best ROM and best Rom does not mean most popular ROM. Hence it is really about preference. No correct answer.

but this really needs closing, there is no need to make this type of thread as mentioned the devs work hard to release their roms and it isnt some sort of wang judging contest to see whos the best

i think also that this thread is "wrong" i think.. the title is wrong.. i'd used something that "what rom do you prefer according your taste", i think that some people at first flash can found here the first rom to try, only the first, because is needed to try all of the roms.. because all roms are great. i change rom every 2 days.. when i found a rom that i prefer.. make a donation.. and use it for a few weeks! by the way... congratulations to all dev for their great works!

I'm on Lightning Rom 6.1. Battery usage depends on which kernel you use. My best is Jeffrey Speefrey 3.0.0 Rv

I dont mean to be rude, but these wrong posts in the wrong area is getting ridiculous. Please READ! Not only are you asking something that has been asked several times in the last few days but also putting it in the dev section. Again, not just you, but SOOO many others as well! Hacre rubs me the wrong way sometimes but I understand where he is coming on certain things.

I have changed so many custom roms and I found that THIS rom is absolutely perfect. It is super smooth, no lag, no fancy -bad looking- theme, and battery is outstanding!! At least 30% more battery than any other custom rom, and 50% more than stock roms!

I don't support XDA on that but yes, creating a lots of threads on the same topic does clutter the forum. Still, plenty of people, like me, have no time to check all those ROMs, nor interest, and it's common that someone wanna have a view on a particular ROM or the one which majority of people think is the best, that'd called 'feedback'! There should be a sticky topic listing all the Custom ROMs and voting should be listed there so that one can see and judge a ROM by the majority of voting.

I love slim ics very much....Its fast with great battery life.....
I have installed the new slim ics 4.2 rom....
But I also want to install add ons on the rom.....

Go into Settings>ASS>Update Me, you can download the addons from the Update Me OTA app.

Lol. 'No knowledge'. You want to know why I don't publish a ROM? Because there are better outside. We don't need thousands of ROMs.

Could a moderator move the question to the thread it's supposed to be on the delete this one. Easy to find what you need.

before denouncing a person by saying that person has no knowledge, you should maybe take a minute to look through some posts of that person. if you had done this, you would've known that both dark_knight and slappy are definitely knowledgeable.
but anyway, me too would like to see this moved and cleaned or even better deleted.

Fast, Battery saving and stable ROM for S3

Hello xda-Community!
First of all - yes, I used the search function but I didn't find any matching result to my question.
So, back to topic.
I am searching for a fast, battery saving and stable rom for the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
It can have the most standard apps removed because I don't use them.
Currently I am using the Android Revolution HD but I am not really fine with it.
So which one would you recommend?
I am grateful for any answer!

Its a matter of choice ... I am using CyanogenMod 10 and I am really happy with its battery life and performance... Very smooth
If you like Touchwiz interface than Omega Rom is great too

If you havent tried AOSP yet, then LiquidSmooth is a good starter.

Best rom thread is best.
Please I need a rom that's the fastest, has the best battery the best signal nicest ui and smalest size.

If you want stability and good battery, stay on stock ICS, JB will always use more battery.
JB is smoother and has better screen responsiveness (among other things), it has worse game performance.
If you go to JB, I DON'T recommend CM10, it doesn't play very well with the SGS3 yet, and its battery is even worse than stock JB. Many people use OMEGA, it's fast, but it's a battery sucker. Also, Siyah Kernel is very good, but many users are reporting battery problems, it could be configured to be more battery friendly, but it's too much of a hassle.
I'd recommend using WanamLite and stay on its kernel or use Perseus kernel if you go the JB route.
BTW, you'll have poor battery the first few days whenever you change ROM/kernel, no matter what you choose, so give it try for a couple of days.

Simple reason .
One its against the rules two their is a thread just near this post dont post what rom bet rom.
three roms are subjective .
Four a thousand what rom /best rom posts per week are not what XDA is about .
If you have to ask that sort of question then you are nothing more than someone that wants it all handed to them on a plate and is to lazy to bother reading the FAQS and Guides . Not really the sort of user XDA needs .

I wasn't asking for "THE BEST ROM". I was asking for a good rom you guys would recommend.
The omega rom seems to be nice. I think I will test it

Its definitely "BEST" but I exaggerated it so it will sounds like who's the most POWERFUL of them all. I mean what Kernel has the most impressive features and performance.

Those Kernel's I've mentioned are the ones that I had already tried and tested. I'm sorry for others that I didn't include. I know they are good and smart people.

I did not made this thread to annoy people. I made this thread to help people especially NOOB's like who is just starting to explore about their android phone. So that when they read this thread they will have ideas that will lead them in choosing what best kernel they will install on their phone. So if you get pissed because you are just so intelligent and don't need guides, tips, ideas, experiences of other people, you better get lost. Besides I think you are just selfish.

What r u taking about I'm I'm not intelligent (I think lol) this tread has no purpose if someone wants proper information on a kernel they go to the kennels tread not to mention all kernels will not work with all roms or particular features may not are you prepared to discussed that here? I'm not "pissed" I'm Infuriated get your facts right lol name 1 piece of information here that you can't get on the original kernels tread in more detail I was simply trying to explain to you that discussing a issue that has been discussed 1 million times its "helping" anybody including the NOOBs if someone on the other hand were to start a tread with a detailed analysis of each kernel now that would be a different story that's not what's happening here it's just a bunch of guys saying which kernel they like best oh and your the selfish 1 this tread will only serve to further confuse the noobs you say your trying to help
