You can always just get Box.net. Just for having an Xperia phone you get 50 gb of storage.

Can anyone answer this question?
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA App
I have no idea if this method will work, but someone did it when Box was limited to some countries/devices only (now it's open to all Xperias).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1385672
You could try this but using info from a device that can receive free storage from dropbox.
I've just dicovered Minus. They offer 10GB free storage (plus an extra 1GB if you use my referral) and have free apps for Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Ubuntu. File size limit is 2GB too so it beats Box in that respect. Dropbox is pretty hard to beat though, 50GB free Dropbox space would be awesome!

You, if you try it yourself
are they still doing this?
are they still allowing new users with a 4.0 device to get the 50GB? if not any other offers?

Personally I'll keep on using it, there's no real reason for alarm unless you're doing illegal stuff on there. I've got 80 free gb, no-where else will give me that

I use dropbox but I do not put anything in there that is sensitive and is not encrypted by myself.

how the hell do you have 80 gigs?! i only have 2.25 gigs.. ='(
yeah, I mean, it's pretty disconcerting that they're having privacy issues, but like other ppl have said in the thread, I'm not keeping anything crazy there so no worries.
I had 60gb free.. drop box reduced it to 5 gb unexpectedly..

I started with the 5gb bonus, then invited 4 people (6gb), then got the 4gb Sense 3.5 one (I installed a ROM), then I got 10gb from various things, including inviting more people, the upload for more room and then Dropquest 2012. That got me up to 30gb. Then I got the 40gb from the Samsung hack, and now I have 80gb
This is all old news. If you wish to secure your files encrypt them with TrueCrypt or some other program before uploading to DropBox or any other cloud service.

I have 14.5gb free space. Key word: referrals; but you only get the space IF they install it on a pc. You don't get the additional space if they download it on a mobile device.

If anyone has a dropbox account, I am willing to give you an extra 25GB. I have 4 HTC onex which will allow me to add 25gb on top of your dropbox account. I bought these phones for family back in Nepal, since it is a gift and knowing that they don't have good Internet I have decided to use the dropbox 25gb for myself. I would only apply the promotion if you have the samsung promotion already applied to your account and also I want to know why you would need the 25 gb on top of your 50gb. 50gb should be enough for most of you but give me a reason and I will apply the 23gb.
Pm me your email and change the pass to: xdagiveaway. Plus please don't make a new account and ask me to apply it to your account, go buy a device. If you smell something fishy here then don't bother.
thank you.

Lifetime. No regions specific as far as I know. 10G is the default amount of storage, did you logged in from android app ?
Windows application is available for free account too https://app.box.com/download-box-sync/
I said Z line because we are on Z1 subforum but of course it works with any Xperia.

Worked like a charm, thanks for the heads up. Also you can invite friends and give them 50GB as well. The promotion page keep getting a firewall error. It has nothing to do with your ports since port 80 and 443 are most likely already open. I check their help page and it seems the solution is to have your friends create and account and email [email protected] with the subject line "50GB PROMOTION" and BOX will manually give them the 50GB. Hope this helps

I already had 50 GB Box thru some earlier promotion (nothing to do with Sony). I logged into that account on this Sony Xperia Z1. It still shows only 50GB. Looks like it does not add up if you already had 50 GB..
