Found a solution to tmobiles stupid user agent sniffer .
Steps:
1. Get TrevE Mod tether app
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34037922
(you will not get a internet connection using any other tether app while using the VPN app)
2. Get Hotspot Shield VPN
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...id.vpn&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
(was mentioned in earlier post but couldn't get it to work)
3. Start Hotspot Shield VPN and connect
4. Start TrevE Mod Tether app
Problems?
Hotspot Shield does not connect or you get error 1028?
Get Tun.Ko from market and install it
Repeat step 3 and 4

I am using Chrome with no user agent switcher and no longer get errors when trying to play youtube videos
Please hit the Thanks Button
What is the Tmobile Useragent?
P.S. none of your links work.

I need a build.prop file from a Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 to enable US market apps to appear on the market . I used to have a Motorola xoom and where I live (Ecuador) I'm only able to see very few apps on the market. I tried almost every Proxy, Vpn, Dns method to fake my location but it didn't work. The ONLY method it worked was by replacing the Wifi Xoom build.prop with Verizon's Xoom build.prop.. That worked great. So please need help! Because its very frustrating to Google every apk that I want to download.
Thanks in advance!

I will say again: Market Enabler, Market Access, Root Toolbox. Each ap can do what you need.
Hello,
I did a little search, I didn't see a thread about this, maybe there is that it didn't show up when I search under my keywords.
Anyways I've been using my 3GS/iPhone 4 to do Cisco IPSEC VPN and Remote Desktop app on my phone to remote into my work PC, if Cisco IPSEC is not available our company is start using Entrust Digital ID with BIG-IP Edge Client aka F5 VPN to replace token for VPN. So I'll be new to Android world, and thinking I should upgrade to a GS3 cuz the screen size and resolution will be perfect for remote desktop. But I'm concern about VPN if it's not available I'm still stuck with the small 3.5" iPhone.
Thanks...
I know ICS has more robust VPN support and there is a Cisco AnyConnect client out now as well.
But still doesn't want to connect to Cisco IPSEC NAC with PSK.
This is how I connect using Cisco IPSEC:
- root the phone
- download tun.ko installer from market
- download vpnc widget from market
- run tun.ko installer and download a tun.ko (it'll error, but i think it works anyway)
- configure vpnc with your profile settings
- run check pre-reqs
- connect using the widget
works for me!
excellent, good to hear that's possible! I'm patiencely waiting for a Marble White SG3 to be available in store to get my hands on it.:good:

Are you sure that's necessary? The website for the tun.ko installer app does not list S3 among the supported phones. Also, it appears that tun support (and CIFS support) are built into the kernel, so no module is needed.
Check out https://github.com/sgs3/SGH-I747/blob/master/arch/arm/configs/m2_att_defconfig for the default kernel configuration for AT&T. It includes
Code:
CONFIG_TUN=y
CONFIG_CIFS=y
The Sprint and Verizon configurations have the same.
Had some one check tun.ko installer and it showed tun.ko not installed and does not have one to install.
I got mine working group ipsec but it didn't need the tun.ko installer I think cuz when I try download the module. It say that can't find compatible module with my phone please try again later. So I downloaded vpnc and X2 Client for remote desktop. It works!!! And the vpnc is much faster than the vpn on ios.

Hello There
I have read about people asking about how to install google books, magzines, movies. music or how to use those features which are restricted due to their country. Well, this is a guide by which you can change your country as default and then you can enjoy all the applications from a particular region you choose.
The best part is that
NO ROOT REQUIRED OR ANY OTHER KIND OF MODIFICATION.
INSTRUCTIONS :
1. Download TunnelBear version free from Google Play or any other VPN service which allows you to select a specific country.
2. Sign up and then log in to Tunnel Bear.
3. Once logged in, enable TunnelBear and then choose a region. Suppose you choose US.
4. Wait until your phone has been connected to TunnelBear VPN.
5.Go back to your home screen. Do not close it or use task managers that might kill it automatically.
6. Force stop Google Play in Application Manager from Settings.
7. Clear data and cache
8. Open Google Play Store. Accept the Terms & Conditions of Google Play Store.
9. Once you are connected to US Google Play, you may disconnect Tunnel Bear as I think it has a limit.
10. Enjoy reading magzines, books and other applications
11. To revert back, simply clear cache and data again after force closing Google Play.
12. Use WIFI and disable your 3g/4g connection. I am not sure if location causes any problem but if doesnot work for you, just go into airplane mode and use WIFI till you get US market.
This works without root but fast internet, latest google play firmware, root is recommended in order. (It should work without root but if it doesnot, make sure your internet speed is good and/or upgrage your Google Play. Also, if you are unable to connect to US market, try doing the 6-8 steps again.
GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY
I read this somewhere online and I can not remember it. I only wrote down the steps in my own words. Credit goes to the author and who found this trick!
I would not be responsible for any harm caused by this if you can not follow the instructions properly
I did see this concept in many different places do don't worry about the author cause there are tons, I tried it a while ago with a different VPN app but I will try the one u mentioned but my WiFi wasn't fast enough and the store wouldn't load

Doesn't work with movies . even with movies app pre installed on a US nexus.

Well, first try to open just regular websites using proxy and see if that works. Then try opening the Google Play Store. Good Luck

Are you rooted ? If yes, open titanium backup (search market) and you will see the apps frozen. Just unfreeze them. Open proxy while opening the Movies. Once inside, turn off proxy. Tell me if that works for you!
Using a proxy should allow us Netflix no problem but I use XBMC so.haven't looked into it

Be specific what is not working and where do you get stuck?
I need to disable the wifi on my teenage son's Samsung Note 3. He's not mature enough for all that the internet has to offer (xxx). I have blocked his data usage through AT&T, but they have no control over the wifi. I have searched the internet and couldn't find anything relevant. How can I keep the phone fully functional yet disable the phone's ability to access the internet so that he can't go in and enable it himself?
I need him to have a phone and I don't want to go buy a dumb phone if I don't have to. I'm sure I'm not the only parent that has this same issue.
Is there a password protected app I can install or a ROM? Any ideas?
Thanks
Just lock your wifi with a password and don't tell him that password.

I have done that at home. He was taking his phone to Starbucks and using their free open wifi.
I may have found my own answer in the Google Play Store. There are a variety of Parental Control apps that apply content filtering and website logging.
Otherwise use hosts filter like ad-free and add list of xxxx site

How about blocking an app from accessing the internet, is that good enough?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.googlecode.droidwall.free
Set it so that Chrome, Browser and Play Store cannot access the web. Then lock DroidWall using Smart App Lock or even hide it from the launcher.
Your kid can still connect to the internet, but that's just the beginning. He THINKS he's on the internet, but his apps doesn't get any permission to access the internet, so all network requests are denied.
Thanks for your input. My overall goal is to prevent my son from using his phone to access porn. My default thought was to disable the wifi since I already have his phone data blocked. It never occured to me until yesterday after my initial post here that there are parental control apps that have content filtering and website logging. A lot of them have great features, but I couldn't find one that had all of the great features combined. I think the one that comes the closest is Funamo Parental Control.
