Hello all-
I have an N7 hspa and am trying to configure a vpm. The instructions I am following indicate that I click on setting and then click on Add vpn. That doesn't show on my screen. The only thing I see when I click on settings is "edit vpn" and when I change this info, it does not allow me to save. I appreciate any assistance with what Im doing wrong.
Thanks.
I too have the same issue. It would be great if someone would give is a clue

Guys, I'm very new to android since I got legend yesterday and I couldn't find a way to modify dns settings. Since, with shame, in my country, some websites are restricted due to taxing problems, (etc, youtube ) and I should modify my dns settings. I couldn't find and I'm slightly losing my temper...
There're some solutions on net but i really couldn't understand what they are talking about. I need an explaination as "android for dummies". Any help appreciated.
settings>setup>wireless&network>wifi-settings
push the bottom "menu" and choice "advanced"
here you can setup ip and dns

Do you use market enabler? When I set T-Mobile settings in market enabler, all the APN settings switches to T-Mobile. When I restore settings from Market enabler, or reboot my device, Everything goes back and my provider APN settings comes back (I am on Cyanogenmod, only need to choose correct default APN, since my provider has different packets with different access points and then it remains).

A little more info might be useful.
What provider are you on? What is your current APN set up? What ROM are you using (stock or otherwise)? What method did you use to root? As asked by dolphin777, do you have any apps installed that would impact the APN settings?
My issue was I had numbers in the apn when it should just be two lines. Cbw, wap.gocbw.com

I figured it was something silly like that. Glad you got it sorted.
And thanks for posting the solution
I have a problem that i can't add apns (access point names) to get 3g internet
i tried other versions of this kernel like (K12K & K12L) and i have same problem
note:- before applying kernel the 3g internet was working
You should ask directly Hardcore on his tread instead of making a new one
YOU are Wrong
THe problem is MarketAnabler OR MarketAccess
Disable them and restart>>>>> then the APNs will appear
thats it

Maybe check if something's happened to the APN settings / if they have been disabled?
Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile Network Settings
What am I looking for? I havent changed anything?

Sounds like a network issue, you need to call your carrier.

well .. if your phone didn't need any additional configuration for APN during your very first use, then I guess, as princeasi just mentioned, you might have to check with your network operator for help..
the reason why i told tht you might have to define the APN settings is because, for me, I had to manually add the APN, username /password in order to get access to my carrier's data network ...
maybe you could browsing on this link: http://modmyi.com/wiki/index.php/Carrier_APN_Settings#Italian_Networks
for APN settings..
that link is meant to help configure iPhone APN settings (Android has a lot more parameters to define) .. but the details shud still work with your NexS
(for eg. all settings for my carrier were the same as what were already on my phone by default.. the only thing i had to configure manually was the u/name, password and APN name)
Hope that helps...
I let it auto reconfigure everything and it came back .. not sure what happened

Hello there,
I have the latest Aurora ICS version, but when I enable mobile data and try to download MMS, nothing happens, I simply can't transfer them.
Any ideas how I can fix this?
Thanks a lot, it would really help.
Do you have the mms profile properly configured according to your network provider(APN)? And did you make sure your data is really enabled in the settings->mobile networks?

Mobile data is on, yes, but I'm not sure about the apn thing. How can I do that?

Just google "APN MMS yourprovider". Take an example and fill it in. Report back if it works

yep exactly after that you just need to go to settings->mobile network-> access points names and create a new option with the settings that you obtained from the web. or you could just call your service provider and ask for the mms apn or profile
